About Emmanuel Health

Early health care on the Prairies was initiated by religious orders who sought to minister to the sick and dying and the impoverished, wherever there was a need. Our province has benefited greatly from the mission of those early pioneers who built hospitals and care homes from Ile-a-la-Crosse to Estevan.

Emmanuel Health governs St. Paul’s Hospital and the Hospice at Glengarda, along with eleven other publicly funded health care facilities in Saskatchewan. A St. Paul’s Hospital Local Council is appointed as a committee of the Emmanuel Health Board of Directors.
