Ourannualmusicbookletismorethanaguide;itisaninvitationtolisten,participate,andletthesoundofsacredmusic liftourspirits,connectuswiththeDivine,andunifyusinourcommonlifeoffaith.Whetherthroughhymns,anthems, orthesolemnbeautyofchoralmusic,wecometogethertopraise,lament,andcelebrate—findingGod’spresencein everynote.

St.Paul’sCathedralhasarichhistoryofexcellenceinsacredmusic.Servingasthecathedralfor theEpiscopalDioceseofOklahoma,St.Paul’sholdsasignificantmusicalpresenceinthe communityandupholdsastandardofexcellenceinsacredmusicandliturgy.Aspartofthe EpiscopalChurchandthewiderglobalAnglicanCommunion,wecherishavaluableancient musicaltradition.Allmusicalelementsoftheliturgyareofferedinpraiseandprayer.Themusic's purposeistoinspireprayerfuldevotionandreflectthecollectiveworshipofthecathedralparish. Thisisbothagiftandaresponsibility.
Dedicationandreverenceinworshiparekeyaspectsofourliturgicalmusicprogram.AtSt.Paul’s,theCathedralChoirs providemusicalleadershipatmostSundayservicesthroughouttheyear.Thechoir,primarilymadeupofvolunteers, maintainsprofessionalstandardsinbehaviorandmusicalperformance,embodyingasignificantvocation. Takeamomenttoexploresomemusicalhighlightsscheduledforthisyear.Weinviteyoutojoinusformanyofthese servicesandexperiencetheupliftingpowerofprayerfulmusic.Additionally,weencourageyoutosupportourchoral residencyintheUKduringthesummerof2025.Thispresentsanexcitingopportunityforallchoirmembers,especially ouryoungchoristers.
