2024 PROGRAMME
ACT 1
Seymour and Audrey are co-workers at Mushnik’s Skid Row Florists, a run-down flower shop owned and operated by the cranky Mr Mushnik.
Seymour finds a mysterious plant, naming it Audrey II after his love for co-worker Audrey. The plant begins to die, not too long after Seymour starts caring for it, and he soon discovers it needs blood to survive. He allows the plant to suck from his bleeding finger and, as Audrey II grows, it attracts brisk business for Mushnik.
As Seymour moves from zero to hero, Orin – a sadistic dentist and Audrey’s abusive boyfriend –encourages Seymour to take the plant and get out of skid row. Meanwhile, Seymour is having difficulty providing enough blood to keep Audrey II healthy. When he stops feeding the plant it speaks, telling him that if he feeds it, his dreams will come true.
