From Phoeniz Park To Richmond Park

On Saturday, September 13th, St Patrick's Athletic club historial Dermot Looney organised a unique event to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the first game every played by St Patrick's Athletic football club, which took place in the famous 15 acres in Phoenix Park.

The game was a 7-3 win against Greenmount United in the Intermediate League. Using the twitter hashtag #phoenixtorichmond, Dermot called on Pat's fans to walk from the 15 acres in the Phoenix Park to Richmond Park, before or after this evening's game, maintaining social distancing guidelines.

This unique event was a wonderful way to celebrate the genesis of the club, which would go on the become league champions for the first time 22 years later.
