There has never been a more exciting time to be a Shamrock. As President and a proud alumnus of Saint Patrick High School, I am honored to welcome your family as you consider the important decision of where your son will spend his high school years. For more than 165 years, St. Pat’s has been a place where young men are known, challenged and supported as they grow in faith, character and confidence. Our promise to families is simple: we will surround your son with the right people. Our faculty, staff and coaches are committed to helping every young man discover his God-given talents, find his path and become the very best version of himself - whether his interests lead him to the classroom, the field, the stage, a career pathway or somewhere entirely his own. We are incredibly proud of what is happening at Belmont & Austin and even more excited about what lies ahead. I invite you to visit, meet our students and faculty, and experience the faith, tradition and brotherhood that have made Saint Patrick home to generations of Shamrocks. We look forward to welcoming you and your son to St. Pat’s. Yours in Christ, Dan Santucci ’02, President
At Saint Patrick High School, we believe a great education should prepare young men not only for college and career, but for life. Our goal is simple: help every student discover his strengths, explore his interests and find the path that is right for him. Our innovative Career & Technical Education program brings that mission to life. Through six pathways, students explore potential careers through hands-on, real-world learning while still in high school. Combined with more than 40 Advanced Placement and Dual Credit opportunities, our academic programming prepares every Shamrock to graduate with meaningful goals for his future, whether his next step is a four-year university, the trades or another career pathway. And he will never navigate that journey alone. From the day your son enters Saint Patrick to the day he walks across the stage at Holy Name Cathedral, our Student Services team is committed to helping Every Shamrock Succeed. We are proud to provide an innovative, personal and forward-thinking education while remaining committed to affordability without compromising excellence. John Harrington, Principal

Through hands-on learning, internships, employment opportunities, and strong industry partnerships, every student graduates prepared to confidently choose the path that is right for him - whether college, a career, an apprenticeship, or a combination of these opportunities.” - Magda Piper, CTE Department Chair
PATHWAYS In Career and Technical Education, College and Career Pathways are structured sequences of courses and hands-on experiences that allow students to explore their interests, gain real-world skills, and prepare for life after graduation. Saint Patrick High School is fortunate enough to have our own dedicated Therapy Dog,
MEET PATRICK
Patrick, who visits a minimum of one day per week. Studies have proven that students bond readily with therapy dogs, feeling more connected and confident, which helps reduce anxiety and negative behavior in adolescents. Interaction with therapy dogs has also been found to cause a social catalyst effect, and this further helps improve the stimulation of social behavior. The relationship between a therapy dog and students helps develop trust in teenagers, and is more likely to help our students develop a broader capacity for empathy.

“ Over time and through the ups and downs, I started to understand the deeper values of Saint Patrick: faith, tradition, and brotherhood. I found faith in our monthly masses and religious retreats. I felt tradition in our school fight song and the energy of our world-class stud section. I built brotherhood through sports and various clubs, especially in baseball and National Honor Society. Through these I discovered something else - my calling to lead.” - Patrick Levar ‘25, Valedictorian, University of Notre Dame

FAITH
Lasallian Education centers on Catholic values and personal relationships, emphasizing academic excellence, faith formation, inclusion, respect for the individual, service and social justice. A Lasallian Education strives to enrich each student’s cultural, intellectual, physical, social and spiritual development. At Saint Patrick High School, we follow the charism of St. John Baptist De La Salle, learning to touch the hearts of others and care for the least, the last, and the lost. Campus Ministry is the faith outreach of our school. Getting involved allows the student to deepen his faith, affords him opportunities to serve the larger community, and deepen his belief in God, the Church, and society. The Campus Ministry Staff, in association with teachers and other staff members, works hard to accompany our students on their spiritual journey. School liturgies, class prayers, Reconciliation services, and retreats are some examples of the ways we constantly remind ourselves that we are “in the holy presence of God.” They are also a means to touch our students’ hungry hearts as they continue to grow in wisdom, age, and grace before God and humankind.

Food Pantry, Special Olympics, Mission of Our Lady of the Angels, The Night Ministry, and Chicago First Responders.
RETREAT OPPORTUNITIES Saint Patrick students have many opportunities for spiritual growth. One such way is through the Retreat Program. Freshmen and Sophomores participate in a one-day, in-house retreat, facilitated by a retreat director, teachers, and peers. Juniors embark on a 2-day retreat overnight at LaSalle Manor in Plano, IL and seniors have the option to attend (and/or lead) a Kairos Retreat which is a four-day, three-night intensive experience where students take a look at themselves, their relationship to their neighbors, God, and their response to God, especially through the person of Jesus Christ. Saint Patrick launched the House System in 2023 to promote leadership, mentorship, camaraderie, and connectedness on campus. Since we are a Christian Brothers school, each house is named after a notable Christian Brother.
CONFIDENCE inspires
LEADERSHIP
The HOUSE SYSTEM at Saint Patrick High School is made up of six houses, each led by faculty, staff, and elected student leaders. A House Director oversees the entire system and meets regularly with both staff and student leaders. Students remain in the same house and mentor group for their entire Saint Patrick journey, with immediate family members placed in the same house but assigned to different mentor groups. Each mentor group includes freshmen through seniors, allowing younger students to learn from older peers while older students serve as mentors. Groups typically consist of 20–22 students. Throughout the year, houses compete for points earned through service, activities, and school spirit, with the coveted “House Cup” awarded annually to the top house.

STUDENT CONVOCATION Each week during advisory period, the entire Saint Patrick community comes together for Student Convocation. Led by students,
Our upperclassmen brought the energy to close out Freshman Leadership Orientation with a spirited game of tug of war. It was the perfect way to end a week of fun, teamwork, and Shamrock brotherhood.
this gathering serves as a space to share announcements, set expectations for the week, and celebrate the accomplishments of our Shamrocks. Convocation builds school spirit, keeps everyone connected, and empowers students to take ownership of their community.
Where GROWTH BEGINS
Upperclassmen take the lead at Freshman Leadership Orientation, helping new Shamrocks build friendships, navigate the building, and gain confidence as they begin their St. Pat’s journey.
FRESHMAN LEADERSHIP ORIENTATION At Saint Patrick, leadership isn’t about titles, it’s about integrity, responsibility, and making a positive impact. Freshman Leadership Orientation, guided by Shamrock student leaders, explores what it means to lead with character, communicate effectively, and work as a team. Students quickly learn that opportunities to lead are everywhere, whether in the classroom, on the field, through clubs, or in Lasallian Youth, and that true leaders inspire through action as well as words.

NOTICED. NAMED. KNOWN. This school isn’t just a building. It’s not just a place to learn. It’s a second home. It’s a brotherhood. It’s a family that raises young men to be leaders, men of faith, work, class, responsibility, and respect. - Noe Miranda ‘25
SPRINGTIDE RESEARCH DATA: BELONGINGNESS
INCLUSIVITY. At Saint Patrick, belonging means more than just being seen. Our students feel noticed, named, and truly known - welcomed by name, cared for as individuals, and supported by adults who listen, notice, and value them for who they are.
Data provided by the Springtide Research Institute and conducted as a custom study, surveying students at Saint Patrick High School to assess their experiences of belonging, thriving, faith, and the Lasallian mission.
Every young man wants to be a part of something special. I call every student by their name every morning so that they know they are important, and that they know they are a part of the brotherhood.
- Russ Lucas ‘81, Co-Dean of Students
