A STORY TOUR OF JANE & FINCH
STORIES BY THE STUDENTS WHO LIVE THERE
A Story Tour of Jane & Finch
takes the reader on a meandering tour of this dynamic community, every stop brought to life by the voices of the children who live here. Whether the library, community centre, mall, or even a special tree, these real settings serve as inspiration for tales imaginary and true—and always unexpected.
Story Planet created this exciting program to explore how everyday neighbourhoods can provide rich material for art and writing. Throughout the year, we engaged nearly 100 students from four schools: Driftwood Public School, Firgrove Public School, Stanley Public School, and Brookview Middle School. The program began with a walk through the community to choose locations for their stories. Next up was developing, writing, and, if they chose, illustrating their stories. Finally, the students rehearsed and recorded their finished pieces in our portable recording studio.
The culmination of this project is the beautiful book you are holding and the Story Tour app (https://storytour.stqry.app/) where you can go on your own tour, led by the voices of the students, and discover the places that inspired them!

The first step was to go on a tour of the neighbourhood, led by the students.
We had so much fun walking and talking about their community.
Back in the classroom, the students decided where their stories would take place.
Then the real work began!
Workshop facilitators provided support during the writing process.
The students proudly shared their stories with their class.
Some students wrote in their first language and then we translated the story.
After more practice reading aloud, they recorded the stories in our portable recording booth.
We developed the app and started placing the stories on the map.
The National Ballet of Canada had one of the stories, The Wishing Tree, become the soundtrack to a beautiful dance performed by many of the Story Tour students—including the author!

THE MYSTERY OF THE MISSING GEAR

This table was placed in Northwood Park by elves. Three human friends came across the table one day. They saw a gear with a vent beside it connected to the table. They tried to get the gear off. They got the gear off and one of the friends put it in their pocket. Another friend saw the table was made of candy cane and ate a piece of it. She turned into an elf!
Then an elf from the North Pole came back. His name was Ernie the Elf. He had to take the table because people kept eating it and turning into elves. He dropped the table. It broke into pieces, but he had a magic vacuum to suck it up.
He noticed the gear was missing! The gear is important because it opens a door so people can see Santa before winter is over. He went to Santa to tell him the gear is missing.
Santa said, “The elves need to knock on every door in Toronto to find the gear.”
The elves knocked on the door of the friend who took the gear. The two friends were there for a sleepover. They did not want to give the gear back.
Ernie the Elf said, “If you guys give me the gear back, I’ll tell Santa. You’ll get lots of gifts.”
They gave the gear back and Ernie went home. “Give those kids lots of gifts this year.”
THE MACHINE OF LIFE

Back in 1998, a man got a call from his friend Zach regarding a very important project he needed help with: The Cortex Maker 1.0, a machine built entirely of metals constructed specifically for making anything people wanted.
However, one day it malfunctioned unexpectedly while making the one thing the machine was too old to make, an iPhone 14. Due to this incident Zach needed help coming up with a new machine.
The Cortex Maker 2.0 would be made to tackle any task needed. After building the machine, they tested it by asking it to make a dinosaur fossil, the biggest one it could, almost as if it belonged to an actual T-rex. This first test was successful because the test fossil was huge. The makers of the machine decided to leave the humongous fossil somewhere deep into Northwood Park.
One morning, a group of runners came across the fossil. Thinking it was a real fossil, they told the authorities, who then brought over a bunch of news and media reporters.
Meanwhile, everyone was freaking out over the possibility of finding a real fossil. The Toronto Public Library began to investigate whether or not the fossil was indeed real.
After a few days, the library folks resolved that it was indeed a real fossil! Surprised by this discovery they went immediately to the site where it was found and they saw machine tracks. Some of them followed the tracks that led to Zach and his friend’s mindscape.
After expressing their astonishment over the fossil the library people found, Zach and his friend confirmed they built the machine. The library folks offered, on the spot, one million dollars for the Cortex Maker 2.0.
They agree to split the money among themselves and hand over the machine.
The library people, overjoyed by their purchase, began making a lot of books, bringing all kinds of readers and even ancient books not available to mankind.
THE DAY

One day in my home I am playing Fortnite with my mom and dad. When we are done playing, I go outside. My friend Michael from my building is playing football in the grass. I ask him if I can play too.
At lunchtime, we walk to McDonald’s. After we eat, we go back to playing football, and at the end of the day we go to my home for a sleepover. We have a pillow fight and go to bed.
In the morning, we play more football. Then we go to my house to play Fortnite on my computer. I win the game and we have fun.
OLD BRIDGE

There was a bridge close to Shoreham Park for people to walk to school and through the neighbourhoods. The bridge was very worn down and shaky. The wood had a lot of cracks that would cause the bridge to shake a lot, to the point that no big crowds could walk across together, and many felt unsafe to walk across it.
There was a man named Alex, he was new to the Shoreham neighbourhood. One day he walked to that bridge and saw that the bridge was shaking a lot. He said, “This bridge is so dangerous I need to make a new bridge,” so he went to his neighbour’s house, Tom, and asked him if he could help him. They agreed: they would fix the bridge together.
The next day, they went over to the shop to grab materials to begin fixing the bridge. The old bridge was so broken and shaky that no person wanted to try going across it. They made their way to the old bridge so they could build the new one.
They broke the old boards and cut the ropes. They replaced the old bridge with a newly made concrete bridge with wooden handles on each side. This bridge was already ten times stronger than the one before. They finished making a new bridge and all the neighbours were so happy and grateful that they decided to throw Alex and Tom an all-day block party. Tom and Alex were so happy that they made the bridge to make others happy.Meanwhile, everyone was enjoying the party. City developers called to ask about the once wonky bridge, but since everyone was partying and celebrating the new bridge, they decided to head over and see why no one was picking up their phones. Once they arrived and saw that the bridge was
already fixed, they told their government bosses, who weren’t too happy about the new bridge. They broke the news that they needed that space to make new apartment buildings, which meant that they would need to demolish the new bridge.
The new developers, upset, began walking to the park where everyone was celebrating. Meanwhile, Sara, the local baker, was taking out fresh baked sandwiches for the party, right outside of her bakery. The developers were just walking by; since she was so close, she overheard their conversation.
‘’That is so sad that this neighbourhood won’t have that new bridge anymore,” one developer said.
‘’Yeah, so true…too bad we gotta demolish it for apartment buildings,’’ the other one added.
Sara, the baker, heard this and dropped her tray of sandwiches in shock at the news. BANG!!!! The loud sound of the metal tray nearly made the developers jump.
Sara ran to the party to tell everyone what she heard from the developers and how they wanted to demolish the new bridge. When everyone heard, they were all shocked and someone went to tell Alex everything. Alex, having heard the news, said, “We need to do something,” and they made a plan.
The next day, Alex and everyone in the neighbourhood called for an emergency meeting at the bridge and invited the developers as well, including everyone around who walked the bridge at least once every day.
The bridge became surrounded by people. Developers were in shock at how many people cared about the bridge. A neighbour yelled at the developers very angrily, “You do realize the people need a bridge more than they need new fancy apartment buildings right?”
“What’s so wrong about actually helping your community?” said another angry neighbour.
The anger grew and grew all over as more remarks were yelled at the developers. It was a sea of people against the two of them.
Alex and Tom looked at each other before looking around them. Everyone was yelling at the developers all at once.
Alex and Tom screamed, ‘’SILENCE!”
And the crowd went silent.
Tom said, “We fixed this bridge and worked really hard to make it what it is today. This bridge wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the community!”
‘’Yeah you guys are just here to destroy all that effort!” added Alex. ‘’But we won’t stand by it!”
‘’Yeah!” said one neighbour.
‘’No we won’t!” said another neighbour.
They kept talking over each other until one of the developers said, “Okay, we will leave the new bridge alone, under one condition, and that is that you all shut up.”
“EVERYONE SILENCE!” Alex screamed, bringing the crowd’s noise immediately to zero.
Alex looked around surprised with his eyes wide open. “Wow, I didn't think that would work,” he said as he stared at the crowd in silence.
“Gentlemen…” said one developer tilting his construction hat as a sign of goodbye and making their exit up the street. The other developer followed in silence, after briefly shaking hands with Tom.
The developers gave them the bridge. The party continued and even stretched until the next day making it a bigger party.
All the people in the neighbourhood danced, sang, and played games.
To everyone’s surprise, even the developers came back to the party!
One developer even said, “This party is so fun!”
THE MAGIC LIBRARY

Once upon a time there was a girl named Emily. She was really happy because she was going to Yorkgate Mall library, like she did every day. Emily was reading a book called The Magical Library. She asked the librarian if she could take the book with her. The librarian said, “Yes, but you can take only one book at a time. When you finish one book, bring it back, give it to me, and then you get a new book.”
The library was a beautiful, magical place. There was a magical bookshelf there with lots of good books. When you took a book off the shelf, the colour of the book changed.
Emily found a girl that was her age, named Lisa. They became friends and she was so happy, but it was getting late, so Emily’s dad called her to go home. Her dad was cooking rice for her and it was good.
Emily’s dad got a new job with more money. Emily asked if they had to move. Her dad said, “We’ll be moving next week.” Emily was both sad and happy. She was sad because she had to leave the library and Lisa. She loved the library so much. She was happy with Lisa. They used to read together. Emily brought cupcakes to the library to surprise Lisa, but the librarian said there was no food allowed, only water. They went to a nice hill near the library to eat the cupcakes.
Lisa hadn’t eaten food in a week. Her mom didn’t make enough money to buy food, but they had a small house. Lisa was really happy and thankful for her mom. When Emily told Lisa that she would be moving in a week, Lisa was really sad and said, “I’ll miss you.” Lisa’s dad had passed away and her mom didn’t work and didn’t have a good education. So Lisa went to the library every day so that she could get a good education when she grew up, not like her mom. She wouldn’t end up like her mom with no job. Lisa wanted a big house, a job with lots of money, and some food.
The next day, Emily moved to her new house, but she was really sad because she missed Lisa and she loved the library a lot. Emily finally got her own room and a new pet. It was a cute little kitten. It was a white fluffy kitten. Her dad surprised her with it at dinner. Emily was crying because she missed her mom at the same time because her mom passed away just like Lisa’s dad.
THE RICH PEOPLE MOVE TO MEXICO

Ava found a friend and his name was Jaden. They become friends forever. Then they went to Mexico for one year, seven weeks and 177 days because they are going to tan and get ice cream.
They flew from Finch by the airport. The airport was as big as a city. It was built by humans with the help of machines and robots. Ava and Jaden drove a Lambo to the airport.
They didn’t want to leave their car behind so they decided to take it with them. The airport had planes big enough to fly cars.
Ava and Jaden loved Mexico so much that they decided to buy a house there. Their house had 12 elevators and fifty stairs.
They decide to rent a limo that costs $1,005 dollars to celebrate their move to Mexico. They decided to never go back to Toronto.
BROOKVIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL FUN!

Chapter 1
Once upon a time, Samantha was a kid who went to Brookview Middle School. She had a teacher named Miss Hazel. Miss Hazel was her science teacher that taught her about planets.
Chapter 2
Samantha had a final presentation about the planets, so she created a slideshow about Uranus and Earth. Miss Hazel had a surprise up her sleeve, but Samantha did not know about it.
Chapter 3
While Samantha was creating the slideshow, she heard “Okay class, stop what you are doing. You guys can choose between kahoot and blooket,” said Miss Hazel. Samantha was shocked. “But we have to present this on Wednesday!” said Samantha.
Chapter 4
Her science teacher said it was due on Thursday, because Miss Hazel saw how hard Samantha’s class had been working on it. So, she thought they needed a day off of work.
Chapter 5
Samantha and her class choose kahoot. They did it based off of basketball teams. Samantha got first place and she was really happy. She saw her friend nervous because she did not want a bad mark for the presentation.
Chapter 6
So Samantha asked Miss Hazel if she and her friend could work together. Miss Hazel said yes and they both got an A+. Samantha and her friend were really happy.
Chapter 7
Everyone in Samantha’s class got a B+ and above in science. They had a pizza party and got to do whatever they wanted for the rest of the day. Samantha and her class were really proud of themselves. They all agreed to keep up the good work so they could keep getting good grades. Then everyone went home at 2:55.

MYSTERIOUS HOUSES

Bri, Zoey, and Ava were walking to Zoey’s house. They played catch with Zoey’s dog and then left to go to Bri's house. They played with a green ball for hours and went to Sara’s house. Then they walked to the store to buy Skittles.
When they were back at Ava’s, they saw a black hole! Then Bri accidentally fell into the hole, and Zoey jumped in to save her, and Ava jumped in after them. All they saw was darkness with red arrows. They followed the red arrows to three doors. One was filled with fire and the second was filled with water and the third one was filled with sharks.
They entered the door with water and finally got to the exit, only to be greeted with spiders! Zoey and Bri were scared of spiders, so they ran out of the place and finally ended up at Zoey’s house.
They stayed at her house and had a sleepover. Bri was sleeping next to Zoey while Ava slept on the other bed. The next morning they ate turkey bacon and pancakes and stayed at Zoey’s house for one more night.
PLANE SUPERPOWER

It was a very rainy day and Sab went to the park near Yorkdale Mall to meet her best friend Cassy. They decided to fool around and play Roblox at Cassy’s house. After that, they had a plan to go to space using the launchpad in the backyard.
But the launchpad only had room for one and would break after the first launch. Sab is braver than Cassy, so she went to space first. When she got up in the sky, she saw the stars which looked like circles of light.
Sab looked around and saw a magical train that trailed rainbows and stars. It looked like the train was heading in her direction, but Sab didn’t move out of the way and got hit. She didn’t feel any pain, but the train cut her leg off!
She was so sad and decided to go to the moon because it was the closest. When Sab reached the moon, she realized the magical train gave her superpowers, which were flying, breathing underwater, invisibility, and immortality. Using the superpowers, she made her own house from moon dust and food from solar powers.
ALIENS AND OTHER CREATURES
ALIEN NATE

It was a very late night, and all you can see was a huge line of people in front of Toronto Public Library because everyone was waiting for the doors to be open so they could get a new book called Alien in the Charybdis
Alien in the Charybdis was a book series. Everyone had watched and read seasons 1 and 2 and were waiting for season 3 to come out. When people heard they were releasing a season 3 book, everyone wanted to get their hands on it! However, there was only one copy of the book because that way it’d be harder for everyone to read, and there would only be one person who got to read one of the best books in the whole entire world. That's why everyone wanted it so badly.
Back to the story: Everyone was waiting for the doors to be open. At 2:00 a.m. the doors started to open. Everyone started to rush into the library. They were scanning through the aisles. The janitor was so mad because everyone was throwing books around looking for Alien in the Charybdis.
Then a kid named Nick Nate got the Alien in the Charybdis book. He was so happy. He’d waited for it to come for so long! The other people were so mad and angry, they went through the doors and shut them loudly.
Nick Nate was walking home with the book. Then suddenly a light shone above him and his feet started levitat-
ing off the floor. It was a UFO flying above him. It was as big as a library, and it was silver. He got abducted into the UFO!
Nick Nate was shy because inside of the UFO there were lots of aliens. The aliens were green creatures with big black eyes. They were silent, then they started speaking an alien language, and they looked mad because they wanted the book back. They were also mad because they couldn’t come down to Earth as aliens because they knew humans were afraid of aliens, and they didn’t want to scare them.
The series of the books was actually written by the aliens. The humans never knew the books were written by the aliens, but they loved reading the stories they wrote. That morning, the new book got out of their hands and landed on Earth, just like every other book from the series they wrote. This time around they decided not to let the humans have it. They kept Nick Nate with them because they wanted revenge for having the book taken out of their hands. They decided they would turn Nick Nate into an alien as well.
The aliens put Nick Nate into a machine and pressed Alien Transformation. Then Nick Nate was no longer Nick Nate anymore.
Alien Nate did not feel like himself, and he felt bad for himself because he could not be a human again and play video games like a human: he was an alien and he was speaking alien language. Nick Nate was forever an alien, and after his abduction, the aliens decided that they should just go down to Earth and see what the humans would do. When they were there, the humans were no longer scared. Slowly, Alien Nate taught all aliens to speak the human language. After five long months, the aliens were fluent in the language.
At the end of the story the aliens and humans became friends and they took turns (like the aliens went to Earth and the humans went to space), and Alien Nate was never known as a human ever again.
A PEACEFUL LIFE

Once upon a time, there was a peaceful place where everyone lived where nothing bad happened. There was also a boy who liked peaceful things. But at Jane Street, a hydra dropped from the sky out of nowhere.
As soon as one man went a little bit close to it, the hydra opened its eyes, changing into a pure red background. Purple flames around the floor started rising up and started beaming Jane Street all over. The hydra started destroying the buildings with its tail, and its triplet heads beamed Jane Street.
But then the boy from Willmont Drive was walking on Jane Street with his headphones on, and he couldn’t hear a single thing. So he went to the store because he wanted to buy chips. Then the hydra destroyed the shop. The dealer was still alive, but the boy got mad.
The boy’s eyes turned into pure red glare star eyes, and his teeth turned sharp. He started having pure red lighting on him and black fire. This form was called Dark Berserk Madness.
He started flying behind the tail of the hydra, grabbing its tail. He was swinging it around, then he slammed the hydra to the ground with one final shot. Finally, the boy was able to get his chips and started cooling down. Soon after, Jane Street was rebuilt and brought back to peace.
THE KEY FOR JOURNEY BOOK 1

Zozk was sleeping on his bed. When he woke up, he walked all the way to the river that connects to Black Creek. He said goodbye to his mom, and his family, and his friends. Then he sailed his ship to a different town. He docked his ship, then he grabbed his weapons.
Then he saw somebody in a cage. All the people being bad to the person inside. He used two swords to defend himself. He went to the cage. He broke the person out with the hammer. The boy inside the cage was called Mack, and he and Zozk became friends.
Zozk asked Mack if he wanted to join his pirate crew and he said, “Yes!”
They got food and went sailing into the ocean. Zozk wanted to find a new town to find more new friends. Then another pirate crew shoots cannonballs at Zozk and his ship.
Book 2
Zozk and his friend went to the Black Creek river and the river had a waterfall. They fell down the waterfall and escaped the other pirate ship. Zozk and Mack followed the Black Creek river path, and they ended up in a creepy town.
It was really dark because of the tall trees, and because it’s always night time here. A black figure walked out of the trees and ran into the house nearby. Zozk and his crew followed the figure into the house. There were lots of traps in the house.
They dodged all the traps and followed the figure up the stairs. They cornered the figure, and the figure swung his sword. The light from the moon suddenly shined through the window. They could see that the figure was actually a skeleton robot pirate.

SPIDER MAN 2

It was early in the morning at 7 a.m. in the summer and it was so hot. Miguel was sleeping and got a phone call from his new friend, Robby. Miguel was 21 and Robby was 20. Robby had a job, and Miguel was looking for a job. Robby was working at Pioneer Village and Robby said that there was a bookstore there.
Miguel asked, “Do they have my favourite book, Spider Man 2?”
Robby said, “Yes.”
Miguel ran to Pioneer Village to see that everyone had already taken the book. Miguel was at the store, and he was looking for the book at the very back. It was so dark that he saw something move. It was a big, shiny ghost. The ghost saw him and screamed at Miguel, ‘’You tiny scaredy cat!”
Miguel called Robby and said, ”There is a ghost, and he is loud every day.” Miguel was so scared and ran. Robby called Miguel. Miguel said, “I’m joking, I’m not scared of the ghost.”
Miguel got one book from the shelf. It said Spider on it, and he loved spiders. When he
picked up the book, he did not notice there was a spider on the book. It was actually invisible and you could not see it, but suddenly, the spider bit him right on his back, and suddenly he looked like the real spiderman from the book. Then he went back and told his friend. His friend believed him.
Then they read the book at Firgrove Park. After they read the book, they went back to Pioneer Village to get another book and Robby turned into Spiderman 2 from the book and Miguel and Robby flew around the city.
THE HAUNTED BUILDING

There once was a girl named Elizabeth Veronica Twum. She was a 12 year old girl. She was born on November 19, 2011 in Ghana. Now she lives in Canada at Jane and Finch. One day her friend, Nana Tuwm, went over to her building.
Nana did not know that Elizabeth's building was a haunted building.
When they were walking through the hallway to Elizabeth’s room, they heard noises behind their backs. They both ignored it at first, but then the noise got closer. They turned around and saw a ghost! They got scared and tried to run, but the ghost was already in front of them. They were soooooooo scared. They begged the ghost, but the ghost had no mercy. The ghost was annoyed by them whining and crying.
The ghost said, “You will not end well. Hahahaha!”
Nana started screaming, but she got nowhere with that.
The ghost got mad and said, “Nana, you will not end well. You will become a ghost.”
A year after that happened, Nana forgot about everything. One day, while she was in her room, she remembered what the ghost said.
She thought to herself, “If the ghost said I will turn into a ghost, why isn't it happening?”
She went to bed and woke up screaming, “Ahhhhhhhhh! No, no, no! Why am I floating?”
She screamed for her mom, but she wasn’t home.
Nooooooo!
THE LIFE OF WENDY THE CLOWN
(WHO’S ACTUALLY BEAR LIVE)

Once upon a time, there lived Wendy the clown. She was a regular clown and she loved doing magic tricks. She would make oranges and cards disappear, never to be seen again.
One day she was walking around Shoppers Drug Mart looking for candy for Valentine’s Day. She wanted to buy candy and cards for her students because she was, in fact, a clown teacher.
Suddenly, Wendy came across a random person who hated clowns because someone in their family had been killed by a clown. The person picked Wendy up and threw her up into the light bulb on the ceiling of Shoppers Drug Mart. She got stuck up there and could not come down. So Wendy turned evil, but no one knew that! Now Wendy could turn into something called Bear Live during the day. It was so scary.
Wendy had anger boiling in her blood, but she couldn't tell her family because they already disliked her for being a clown teacher. Her students loved her — they didn’t like her, they loved her to bits.
Wendy said, “I will turn day into night and everyone will look ugly like me.”
After that happened, everyone saw Wendy on the news. Wendy wanted to do something so, so scary. Do you know what she did? Something scary — listen up:
Wendy went to Humber River Hospital and identified herself as a human. She asked the doctors to replace her arm with a metal arm. The doctors believed her until she revealed herself as Bear Live during the surgery.
Everyone screamed so loud. No one knew what to do. Everyone ran and Wendy became electrified and turned into Bear Live. That's why her name was Bear Live. It's not Beary! And now everyone knows that you should not mess with Bear Live!
ENTHIUS AND KORO DEFEATED

I’m playing with my brother at Northwood Park and we just got adopted one week ago. My name is Lora, and my brother’s name is Jensen.
Jensen wanted to play tag and we did. I lost him, then I saw someone sacrificing him! I tried to stop him but it was too late—something was coming out!
My brother’s last words were, “Run! Get out of here! Remember this: 1358. Now run!”
I said, “But, but…”
Then he said, “Run!” and I did as told.
I hid in a bush. When I peeked, I saw two monsters coming out. After a few minutes, the two monsters were gone and I went home and my mom said, ”WHERE IS YOUR BROTHER?”
I said, “Someone sacrificed him and—and—I tried to stop him, but it was too late!” I started to cry, but my mom hugged me.
I went to bed after supper. In my dream I saw…my brother! But before I could speak, he said, “When I was being sacrificed, I saw everything in Enthius’ and Koro’s life.” He said, “Here, take this! It’s a map, and do you remember the code?”
I said, “Is it 1358?”
He said, “Yeah.”
He gave me a map and a diary with only one page. I asked, “What’s this?”
He replied, “That is a diary where you can fill it with only two more pages.”
I said, “Okay.”
“Good, you will need it,” he replied.
I woke up, and I told Mom what happened and she said, “Okay, if you want to get your brother back, then you can, but you need to get some stuff first.”
I said, “Okay, thanks mom.”
I got a backpack and I put in some tape, a fishing rod, food, compass, the diary, a dagger, a bow, arrows, a tent, firewood, a lighter, a pillow, a blanket, and a very big blanket (it was the only extra blanket I could find). I put all the stuff in the backpack. Oh—and one more thing: an umbrella. I put on a sweater and said my goodbyes.
When I finally made it to the place on the map, I pulled out my sword and I saw two pieces of the diary and a rainbow rock. I felt like I had to break it, and I did. When I did, it merged with my sword! I put the code 1358 and I saw a pendant next to three strange crystals. I put the three strange crystals into the pendant and then the pendant turned into a necklace, which I put on. A door opened, and I saw a dragon come out! The pendant allowed me to communicate with animals.
The dragon said, “Don’t worry, I won’t harm you.”
The dragon put me on his back and he flew us outside, then he put me down. It was dark out, so I set up camp and cooked some chicken. I told the dragon every-
thing that happened to me. He said his name was Snowball, and he said he was the last of his kind.
He said, “If you want to defeat Enthius and Koro, then I can help you if you want.” He gave me a legendary lightning dragon bone sword, and it merged with my original sword.
Snowball said, “Now it is even more powerful.”
I said, “Wow, thanks Snowball! Now I can really defeat Enthius and Koro.”
I put up a tent and gave Snowball the big blanket I had in my backpack. We fell asleep, and Snowball wanted to sleep outside so that if someone came to attack us he would hear them coming.
I saw my brother in my dream again. He told me, ”Good job. You’ve made a lot of progress. I’m happy for you, Sis.”
I said, “Thanks, lil Bro.”
He told me I needed two more things for my sword to be more powerful: they were one drop of Enthius’ blood and one drop of Koro’s blood. Oh, and one more thing…”DON’T FORGET TO READ THE DIARY!!!”
I said, “Okay, okay. Geez Louise, Bro, calm down.”
He said, “Okay, sorry, Sis.”
I said, “It’s okay, lil Bro.”
He said, “See you later, Sis.”
I woke up and read the diary. It said: “Enthius used to be a protector summoned by a wizard. The humans overused Enthius’ powers, and now he is angry. Koro was supposed to be a second protector but the humans treated him like a servant, and now Koro’s angry too. Eventually they both met and worked together. The wizard banished them and now they could come back if they were summoned.”
When I finished reading the diary, Snowball woke up. I explained to Snowball what happened and what I needed to do. I went on Snowball’s back, and we flew to Enthius’s cave. There were two syringes, and I grabbed one. Enthius was sleeping, so I got the blood drop I needed and ran out and hid in a bush. Enthius was surprisingly still asleep, so I went in and got the other syringe and went into Koro’s cave and got his blood drop, and he also did not wake up.
Snowball flew us back to where we set up camp, and I got ready for the final battle. I put the blood drops on the sword, and then it turned into a legendary flaming lightning dragon bone sword!
I had a vision after. The sword got even more powerful. My brother was there and he said, “You are now ready to combine Enthius’ and Koro’s souls together to get me back.” Then he vanished.
I went to Koro’s cave first and woke him up. The battle began and he used his wings to go up in the air and shoot projectiles at me. I used my bow and arrow to shoot back at him, and after 50 minutes of battling Koro, he was finally defeated.
I collected his soul and went to Enthius’s cave and woke her up. Enthius used her elemental powers and the cursed sword on me. I dodged her attacks and used my legendary flaming lightning dragon bone sword on her.
After about one hour of battling Enthius, she was finally defeated. I collected her soul and combined it with Koro’s.
I said, “I wish I had my brother back.”
After I said those words, Jensen came back, and I said, “Jensen! You’re back!” I hugged him, and he hugged me back. Snowball flew us back to my house and Mom said we can keep the dragon. She hugged us both and we all went to sleep after.

One month later
Walker and Mermina are besties. Then, one day, a demon went inside of Mermina’s heart. The demon was in love with the Human-maid, so he decided to possess her heart and force her to fall in love. The demon started to leave notes on her back that spelled “I LOVE YOU.” Plus, her heart was always hurting.
At first, Mermina thought it was Walker who was possessing her, but no, it was the demon. The demon left hints, notes and other things, but Mermina didn’t know what was happening.
One day she went to Humber River Hospital to get an examination. Dr. Jose found something shocking: A DEMON LIVING IN HER HEART! The doctor didn’t want to tell her what he saw because he didn’t want to scare her to death. Dr. Jose just said she needed surgery in three weeks. Walker was very worried about Mermina. Luckily the doctor did her surgery and got the demon out of her heart! But the demon was still watching her.
Then, six years later, Mermina just disappeared. Walker the Walking Talker also vanished. It was all because of the demon because Mermina didn't love him back. Both of them had been sent to the sunken Titanic boat. They were both teleported there by the demon! They were never found and Mermina never got revenge. The demon is still watching her.
THE BLUE CRYSTAL

January was a very snowy month, so I went skiing at Blue Mountain by myself. I was skiing down a hill when I crashed into a tree and then fell into a hole. I passed out for an hour. When I woke up I was lying in the hole. I saw a bright, shiny, blue crystal. I put the crystal in my pocket, then I realized that I was trapped in the hole! It was too high for me to climb out of it.
Suddenly a big, blue dragon came out of the sky. The crystal must have called him. The dragon laid down his long tail and I was able to climb it and get out of the hole. The dragon was very friendly and flew me back to my home. After he dropped me off at home, I never saw him again.
A month later I was walking to Westview High School when a robber popped out of a bush. He was wearing a mask and a hoodie, so I couldn’t see his face.
He yelled, “Give me the crystal, I know you have it!”
I was confused because I didn’t know the crystal was that important. He wanted to take my dragon crystal. The dragon crystal was so small that it fit right into my pocket. I had the crystal with me because I was planning to show it to my friends. The robber said he knew I had it because the crystal was shining through my pocket.
Before the robber could take the crystal from me, the dragon appeared out of nowhere and saved me! The dragon took me to the Firgrove Public School’s football field. It was big enough for us both to hide there.
The dragon finally spoke, “I am Quy Nhon. I was summoned when you touched the crystal. I came from far away: Vietnam.”
I was shocked to hear the dragon’s voice.
I asked the dragon, “How did the crystal get into the hole?”
He said, “The crystal blew away during a very windy day, the windiest Vietnam has seen since the Vietnam war. It’s been lost for years.”
I was still shocked. Then the dragon told me that I must protect the crystal from the robbers for the rest of my life. If the crystal gets into the wrong hands, horrible things will happen. And before I could respond, the dragon flew away.
When I finally got to school the day was almost over. I walked back home and went right to sleep; I was so very tired from school. While I was sleeping the robber broke into my house! I didn’t hear him coming in. He found the crystal on my desk and stole it. I woke up because of loud noises coming from outside. When I went to check out the window, I saw the robber using the dragon to burn down the whole city. He used a device on the crystal and he was able to control all of the dragon’s actions.
I couldn’t save the city in time. I was just watching the buildings burn down. I still had one chance: I saw the robber walking under my window and he was using the device. I ran outside, found a rock, and ran towards the guy. He didn’t see me coming because the device was like VR so he could only see what the dragon saw. I went up behind him and hit the device with the rock! The crystal fell out and I grabbed it - the dragon was finally out of the robber’s control!
Next I used a hose that was laying around on the grass and tied the robber up. Then the police and firefighters came, took the man away, and put all of the fires
out. Luckily the dragon had reviving powers, so he revived the people who had been hurt and restored everything back to normal.
After that Toronto was never the same again. I gave the crystal back to the dragon, and thanked him for restoring the city. He flew back to Vietnam and was never seen again. Some people believe that the dragon now lives inside a volcano and will only come out if a new threat appears.

Instant Noodles and the World of Mondorae and Mondorai (English Translation)
My character is Mondorae. She is a 10-year-old girl who lives at Jane and Finch. She is from Việt Nam. She likes to play games like Minecraft and Roblox. She has many friends and no enemies because she is a good person.
Mondorae wears a yellow T-shirt and lives in a magic house as big as a mansion. She is very rich. Mondorae likes to eat fruits and wear furs, and her ability is to sleep all day if it’s colder than zero degrees without feeling hungry. She has a brother who is Santa Claus. It’s a secret no one knows because if they did, the world would no longer use cars and planes, they would use reindeer to fly and move. His name is Mondorai. He is 30 years old.
Mondorae’s favourite food is dorayaki, or Japanese red bean pancakes. She doesn’t cook but likes to eat with her friends. She also has a golden retriever
named Golden Boy who is also from Hai Phong, Việt Nam. They played a lot in the playground back home and also love to eat.
Mondorae misses Việt Nam a lot. For this reason, she wants to cook mì tôm, or instant shrimp noodles, for her friends! She asks her mother, who is a very good cook. Her mom tells her the following steps:
Step 1: Take the packet of noodles.
Step 2: Break the dried noodles in half.
Step 3: Pour the seasoning packet into the mixture.
Step 4: Open and eat!
When Mondorae finishes, she brings the mì tôm in a large pot to bring to class. They love the shrimp noodles! (Let’s be honest, in Việt Nam everybody loves instant noodles.)
She is very happy to bring a part of Vi to Canada. Her friends even suggest that she open a Vietnamese restaurant to sell shrimp noodles because they are so good!
Everyone is very happy and full thanks to Mondorae and her delicious mì tôm!
RICH GIRL PROBLEMS

There was a young lady named Aviana Layana Kiara Clarke. She was born May 11, 2003. She was from Trinidad, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, and Somalia. She always had good grades.
One day, she was walking home to her mansion with 10 rooms, eight bathrooms, and three kitchens, a large garage, and four pools, two saunas, and two hot tubs. While she was walking home some man around his late 30s walked up to her and covered her mouth and threw her into a van and drove off faster than the speed limit while she was screaming.
While this was happening, she felt terrified and thought she would never escape and would end up missing forever. But then she remembered she had her phone, and she called her dad, but she hung up in a panic. Then her dad called the police, and the police tracked her location, but they could not find her.
Aviana had a history of trauma and anxiety, and her only ways to stay calm were to breathe or snap an elastic band. Suddenly, the kidnapper stopped. He threw her in a grocery cart from Walmart and ran while pushing the cart into an old, abandoned factory. He covered her mouth and tied her to a chair. He just wanted to keep her for some company because he was a lonely and depressed man. He then later left to go buy a drink.
Aviana then thought it was time to break free! She rubbed the rope against the chair so that it could get hot and break off. Then she ran outside and didn’t know where she was, so she looked at the factory number and called the police and told
them the factory number while shivering. By that time it was 6 p.m. and dark because of daylight savings. But the police came with flashlights and took Aviana home.
When she got home, her dad talked to her and tried to calm her down even though he was horrified as well, and later he added lots of security for Aviana’s room and around the inside and outside of the house. After that, she went to therapy for five months straight, with some panic attacks, but she lived a happy life later around the Jane and Finch Mall area.
ONE DAY A MAN FOLLOWED ME

One day I saw a man following me. The man was wearing a black hoodie and long pants. It was late at night. It was a bit chilly and I was wearing a black dress—I did not feel cold though. I was surprised by the presence of the man, so I started running. I ran really fast to my building, and the man was still following me.
I was running to the building, and the man was looking for me. I saw a cat, and I put it on the man and the cat slapped him. He took the cat off his face. I was running, and the man was running too.
I got to my house and went to eat food and some oranges, but there were no people in the house, only me. The man came and knocked on my door. I felt like crying, and I wanted everyone with me. I needed help.
I ran to hide under my bed, and I brought my popcorn. I called 911. The man came into my house, and I ran to Pizza Pizza.
I bought Coca Cola, a pepperoni pizza slice, and I told the person in the Pizza Pizza, “I need help please.” I felt so proud because I thought I had a superpower because I was able to buy food on my own.
The Pizza Pizza man said, “Yes!” The man went to the Pizza Pizza and then the police came and grabbed the man! They took the man to jail.
I ended my day with a delicious pizza and some refreshing Coca Cola.
THE MAN

One night Richard and J’Quan were having a sleepover at Richard’s house. They were in Richard’s bedroom playing Fortnite on the PC. They heard a noise in the kitchen. Richard rushed down the stairs, and J’quan followed right after him. There was a dark man standing right in the middle of the living room. They felt something weird in their stomachs, like something was bubbling. They were scared.
Richard looked at the man and asked, “Who are you?”
The dark man remained silent. They could not see his face because he was wearing a big hat over it, and his body was covered by a trenchcoat. Just then Raphael, Richard’s brother, ran downstairs. Raphael was younger than Richard, and he was very scared when he noticed the man. Raphael was so quiet, Richard and J’Quan did not see him behind them.
When Richard and J’Quan blinked, the man was suddenly gone. Richard and J’Quan turned around, and they saw Raphael for one second before he was taken by the man.
The man took Richard’s brother into some dark sewer. Raphael was really scared. The dark man’s name was River, and he was known for some kids’ disappearances. River would take the kids to the bunker and keep them in a closet. River would take the kids for ransom money from parents. River’s family was very poor, and he wanted to help them. They lived in a small village in Mexico.
He had taken about five kids, but they would always be rescued by a sibling or their parents, so River never made any money.
Richard and J’Quan got a letter from River that said, “Come and get me, if you want your brother back! I’m hidden at Firgrove Park.” Richard and J’Quan sprinted to the park. When they got there they tried to unlock the door to the bunker. There were several locks on the door, and they would have to find the right key to open all of them.
They looked all over the park searching for the key to open the door: inside bushes, trees, in the playground. They even dug holes in the grass. When they got to the very last bush, they finally found the key. They rushed to the door and opened it. The dark man, River, was standing there with Raphael! Raphael had his hands tied.
Richard was angry when he saw them. He yelled, “Give me my brother back!”
River replied, “You’ll have to get me! You’ll have to get past the traps!”
There were electric traps, huge bats that craved human flesh, and a small hole that led to a pool full of fifty crocodiles with long teeth. J’Quan was the first one to try to get past them. J’Quan got past the first two traps, but got stuck on the last one. He kept his hands pressed against the walls so he wouldn’t fall deep.
Richard went next. He only had one hour left on the timer; if he didn’t complete it in time, the door of the bunker would close forever. Richard got past all of the traps! He was very angry to see River still holding his brother.
They were now face to face. River said, “Fight me to get him!” and so they fought. River lost the battle and just stayed on the floor. Richard got his brother back. He asked if he was okay. Then Richard ran back to the hole and helped J’Quan out of it.
Richard told River that it wasn’t a good idea to kidnap kids for money. Richard gave River a second chance and called the police to cancel his arrest. Richard decided that he wanted to help River’s family back in Mexico by donating ten dollars. After their fight with River, their lives changed forever.
HORROR IN THE BORRER

Bright and early in the morning, right as the sun is roaming up, my dad wakes me up. My dad rinses my face in the bathtub, and then I get dressed in our religious clothings, comfortable at best. We make our way to the mosque, then we pray.
Nathan wakes up right in the morning and eats his breakfast. He gets ready and heads down for church. After praying, Nathan and I go play in the park, and we play tag and hide and seek.
We find a cave and enter in. We venture in, but the entry of the cave is blocked. After that, we hear a loud and weird screeching sound. We go further and further and find a dead corpse of a wolf. I think we shall go back, but it is too late. We get chased by a humanoid creature.
Then, we run further and find a backpack. And right beside it, it’s a whole human skeleton. We open the backpack and find a gun and ammo and shoot the humanoid creature right in the heart. And the creature makes a loud screeching sound that sounds like a desk dragged to the floor. We run and run and find an exit and speed through it. Then we make a sigh of relief and cover the exit with a big rock. Then, we eat at Tim Hortons. We teleport to a train and go to Pioneer Village and the First Nations show us how to cook. Then we go home.
THE BIRD VIRUS

On a cozy summer day, I was walking around Jane and Finch looking for water guns. Eventually I found Dollarama and it had all sorts of stuff. I found the best water gun, exactly what I was looking for! I went to the self-checkout and bought it. I’d almost walked out the door when a security guard stopped me. He told me that something dangerous was happening outside. I looked out and I saw… HUMANS TURNING INTO BIRDS!!
I think the security guard just saved my life. Everyone was freaking out, they thought the world was ending! But I didn’t think so. It was too dangerous to go outside now. Someone announced what was happening over the loudspeaker. Ugh, how was I supposed to go home and beat my siblings with my new water gun now?
A couple minutes later, the birds used their beaks to shatter the glass in the windows! I ran to the washroom and locked the bathroom door in a panic. I was so scared! But then I had an idea: I used the washroom sink to fill my water gun.
I said to myself, “Hmm, maybe I can squirt water in the birds’ faces! It’ll stun them for a few seconds!”
The mall looked completely discombobulated. I ran as fast as I could. I knew the birds were right at my tail! I needed to make some space between us. I ran to McDonald’s to get a drink and some food because I was really hungry. I grabbed a cup of Pepsi and ice and a happy meal, and I ate it while running to a car.
The security guard wasn’t looking, so I ran outside and stole a car. I don’t have a driver’s license, but whatever. I drove pretty good (totally not bumping into or running over lamps). I didn’t know where I was going, I just drove.
Then I saw a sign that said Ohio!
“Oh no. Am I in OHIO?”
Luckily there was a giant speed bump. I flew high into the sky, and I saw an airplane.
The people in the airplane said, “OMG IS THAT THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS?”
For a second I thought the car was a plane, but then I started falling. I crashed into a Walmart. Hey, at least I'm still alive. But that was TERRIFYING!
I thought to myself, “Hmm, maybe Walmart is a safe place. I don’t think the birds can get me now…NEVERMIND!”
There were birds soaring around the ceiling inside.
“OH NO!!! What should I do…”
Walmart was infested with birds! I started throwing everything I could get my hands on. I totally made Walmart more of a wreck.
Then, something popped into my mind. It was a great idea, a fantastic idea. I said to myself, “I’m going to stop these birds!”
I just needed the right materials to get the job done. So I collected everything I needed: a rope, an empty plastic tub, and two big, strong wood boards. Now I could build a beautiful structure.
Some time later… “I have finished my best CREATION!”
But wait— I’d almost forgotten the most important part of my trap: the bait!
“Oh my, how did I forget the seeds?! Ugh now I gotta go get it somehow.”
I knew that if I ran to the store the birds would catch up to me at the mall. Plus it's probably infested with birds! Or they would find my trap and alert their fellow birds. I had to think quickly. I thought of something.
“I’ll just be the bait! They’ll chase me and I’ll jump over the tub. The birds will go inside and I’ll slingshot them to Ohio.”
So I waited and waited until I saw them coming from a mile away. I got prepared to end this total disaster.
The birds arrived thinking they would finish me off. I was ready to slingshot them, but things didn’t go as planned. They started flying and soaring through the sky and one by one they dove down and destroyed my beautiful structure! Honestly, I’d forgotten that birds fly!
So I ran away. I kept running and running, but of course I got caught. I was trapped by a swarm of birds!
I said to myself, “I guess it’s the end for me. The birds cheated because they can fly. Oh well, goodbye cruel world.”
And then I woke up.
“WOAH! Huh? W-w-where am I? Oh, I'm home. I’m glad I wasn’t in that bird apocalypse.”

One beautiful day, there was a Black girl named Keanna. She was born May 10, 2003. On that day she was wearing black jeans and a nice shirt and Jordan 4s.
Keanna was on the bus to Yorkgate Mall. She fell asleep on the bus. While she was sleeping, someone kidnapped her! While she was sleeping, she was sent to L.A. in a van.
When she woke up, she realized she was in L.A. She was confused and started walking around. She used all of her money to buy a mansion. The mansion was so big, it had two kitchens, three big bedrooms, and four washrooms.
She called her parents from her mansion and told them she lived in L.A. now because she’d been kidnapped. Her parents were shocked! Then Keanna told them that she was on her way home because it was better for her there, and she missed her family and friends.
THE WORST HIDE AND SEEK STORY

I woke up on a school day and walked to Firgrove Public School, which was only two blocks away from my house. At school we learned some stuff like social studies and science. After math class the bell rang, and we went outside for recess.
Outside, a very tall man who looked strong came over and told us to hide, so we all started running away from him. The first place I went was the back of the school, but he found me, so I started to run all over the school to lose him. I knew he was going to find me if I stayed there, so I ran to the Toronto Public Library.
When I got to the library I saw him chasing someone else, so I threw two books at him (one called Pow and one called Get Booked: 20 Ways to Throw a Book). He noticed me, so I started to run again.
He caught me, and this is what he said: “You just won one million dollars!”
I was so excited. He told me to follow him to the fast food restaurant called WacDonald’s, so I did. He introduced me to his boss, who told me that he’d hired the man to chase us because he had so much money from selling burgers, which were just bread and beef that was frozen. He said he decided on a game of hide and seek because so many people could play. He wanted to give some of his money away, and because I was the last person to be found, I got the money!
After he gave me the check, I went back to school, but the day was over, so I went home. When I got home I gave the check to my mom so she could go to the bank and cash the check. Once we got the money we moved to a bigger house and bought an off-brand toy called Hego’s Sneaky Guys.
GAMING
THE GREAT WAND

It was Friday afternoon, right after school finished, and I decided to go to Fennimore Park because I wanted to go on the playground. I swung on the swing for a while. I usually like to swing very high—sky high—because it was a very hot day.
I got off the swing and went to the tallest tree I could find. This one was 20 feet high. I always climb this tree, but today I forgot to bring my hook. So it was harder to climb up, but I made it in 15 minutes. I sat on a firm branch, but when I looked down, I saw a strange shape. It was a brown stick with a shiny thing on top, it looked like a star. It was lying on one of the branches.
I wrapped my arms around the trunk and slid down to the branch. It rose up off the branch. I knew it was magic because it was floating. I wished for Infinity Roblox. I went home and checked my phone and it worked.
In the game, I bought permanent dough and I bought four fruit surges. I tried to trade it for four leopards and it worked. I got four leopards and I showed them my four leopards at school. Everybody asked me for a leopard, but I said no because they’re mine.
The wand blew up—the wish was too powerful. It had blown up in my hands. It disappeared and went up in smoke. I told my friend Shiloh and he didn't believe me. I showed him my Infinity Roblox and my four leopards, and then he believed me.
When I went back to school, everyone was making me buy them stuff. I kept them for myself and only gave some to my friends. Everyone believed me about the wand, and they were jealous.
GAME HACKERS

Chapter 1
When I woke up I started to do some research on spells. Then I called Thabeeshan, Connor, and Michael.
Connor asked me, “Why are you calling us?”
I said, “I did some research, and I found an evil spell to trap people in a game.”
“Good. That’s so cool!” said Michael. “It must be so much fun.” He really wanted to get stuck in Fortnite, but that was a secret he kept from his friends.
“It isn’t good,” said Connor.
“Some people think if they die in the game they will respawn,” said Ali.
We went to Driftwood Public School. to look for a spell book, but there were only books that we thought were lame. So we went to the Toronto Public Library and Connor and Thabeeshan found a secret passage and got the spell book there.
Chapter 2
They blacked out. But then they started to play Slap Battles. A few slaps later, where Thabeeshan slapped five people, Connor slapped five, and Michael got three. I got five, then we were done! Next stage. “Oh no,” said Ali.
Chapter 3
We got out of the game, but there’s a limit to stay out for 30 minutes, so we went to the Yorkgate Mall. But there we just went to the security and he said, “I know the next game.” The game is pretty hard because it is hardcore Minecraft, so we just had to wait.
A few moments later…
We got into Minecraft, and we started to gather some wood materials except Thabeeshan. Thabeeshan went to find a village with Connor, and Ali and Michael went to get oakwood.
Chapter 4
Michael and I started the game and got eight stacks of oakwood. Then we went to get another eight stacks, and meanwhile Thabeeshan and Connor still could not find a village. They did get attacked by a zombie, but they easily slayed it.
Chapter 5
Thabeeshan and Connor finally found a village while Michael and I were still waiting. We went to the village, and Thabeeshan and I went to mine the stones in the village. We found an Enderman that was a bit hard with no sword, and had a water weakness. When we slayed it, I fell into a deep hole.
“Ahhhhhhhh!” screamed Ali, falling into the hole.
“One down, three more to go!” said the game master.

THE TALES OF THE BLACK AND WHITE ENTITY

On their new PC, Greyson and Gian were playing Minecraft. They were having a sleepover at Greyson’s place. After playing for a while, something unexpected happened: two hackers named Black and White Entity joined the game. Gian thought they were friends that Greyson invited, but Greyson said he didn’t invite them.
They were both confused and scared, but they continued to play until they were hacked and got teleported inside the game.
“To return home, you’re gonna have to complete five quests,” said Black Entity, but Gian and Greyson only had three lives. “Oh, and each quest you complete you will gain half a heart,” said White Entity.
They continued playing the game until they got their first quest, which was to collect 60 emeralds and 15 seeds and find the hero villager. They would trade for their first set of technorite armour, but first they had to pick a chest-plate or leggings.
Gian started breaking grass for seeds and Greyson tried to get emeralds but he could not find any. After Gian got some seeds, he helped Greyson to find emeralds and they found their first vein of emeralds.
They kept on mining but had no luck until they found a village and a villager had a lot of emeralds. They exchanged an iron sword for 60 emeralds with the villager.
Then they found a temple full of traps. They almost gave up, but Gian was killed by one of the traps. He stepped on a pressure plate.
After he died, Greyson tried to find the compass in the temple. The compass would lead to the hero villager. After Gian died, Greyson exacted his revenge and obtained the compass.
Greyson went back to Gian’s spawnpoint and found him making a base. They then put their resources in a chest and slept. The next day, they traded with the hero villager and chose the technorite chest-plate.
They then received another quest and that was to defeat the Ender Dragon, but they only had a technorite chest-plate, so they then collected more emeralds and seeds, then traded for the rest of the technorite set. They then searched for the stronghold, but they could not find the portal. They searched for hours but still could not find it, but then they were raided by silverfish.
They knew there was a silverfish spawner right near to the portal; they searched every room nearby and they found the end portal. They went inside and tried their best to kill the Ender Dragon.
The dragon got defeated and the Black and White Entity teleported to them. All they had to do was kill the Black and White Entity.
They tried their best, but then Gian died and all of his lives were gone. Greyson had to save him, so he killed White Entity, but Black Entity was still alive. Technoblade was there. Technoblade was one of the best fighters in Minecraft and he killed Black Entity before. Black Entity was on his last life. Technoblade sneaked up on him and killed him.
They then came out of the game and Gian came back. To celebrate, Greyson and Gian threw a party with their friends. They never told anyone they went into Minecraft
After the party, they decided to go inside another game for another adventure. This time they went into Fortnite! But they never knew if Black Entity or White Entity would ever come back.
EPILK BACKROOMS

Chapter One: The Backrooms
Once upon a time there was a boy named Epilk Gamer. He lived in the library with his dad named Bob. Epilk Gamer was always shy to everyone who came to the library.
Epilk Gamer would always read in the corner until one day he fell through the floor in the corner of the library and got teleported to the Backrooms. He was so confused at how he got in the Backrooms.
He was also scared in the Backrooms. So, he screamed for help but nobody came. He was so scared that he hid in the corner like always. After an hour, he saw someone fall through the floor and into the Backrooms.
He approached the person and told them everything he knew about what happened so far in the Backrooms. The dude told Epilk Gamer his name, it was Dave, and then the journey of horror began.
Chapter Two: The Weird Pool Room
Epilk Gamer and Dave followed the arrows and eventually they got out of the Yellow Rooms and finally made it to the Pool Room. Epilk Gamer and Dave loved to swim, but…not in the dark like in the horror movies. They were looking around the Pool Room until they saw a wall saying that you have to turn all the levers to go to the Office Room.
Eventually they turned all the levers and saw a pool entity, but the exit also opened so they rushed through the exit and made it through.
Chapter 3: One of Many
They both escaped the Pool Room and now onto the Office Room. When Dave and Epilk Gamer looked behind them they noticed that somehow the door got locked itself. They turned around and saw an entity and screamed, and the entity heard it and ran towards Dave. The entity was not happy so they ate Dave. Then Epilk Gamer screamed too because it was very scary, and the entity smashed the floor and glass got broken and got stabbed into Epilk Gamer’s soul.
Chapter 4: Four More Lives
Epilk Gamer and Dave died, but somehow they respawned and they saw a screen that said, “Four more lives.” So they know what to do now. They became serious and somehow the game broke and gave them the Dreams Axe. The Dreams Axe gave them super speed and a big brain. So they speedrunned the game but until the axe broke. But at least they made it out of the Office Room. Now on to the Rocks.
Chapter 5: Da Rocks
Epilk Gamer and Dave saw a clone of them, but they aren't silly and they know that's a Skinwalker just like the video games so they ran away from him.
After running away from the Skinwalker they noticed that the room was becoming darker and darker, so they quickly had to plan something out to escape this room called Da Rocks.
After an hour of planning, they saw a purple portal and just like any video games, they jumped into the purple portal and got teleported to the next room.
But when they teleported to the next room, they both fell into a trap and got smashed by a spiky wall and lost a life. Now Epilk Gamer and Dave had three lives left.
Chapter 6: Death
Death is the key to winning. Epilk Gamer and Dave thought there was no escape through the Backrooms so they thought to themselves it’s time to waste their lives so that they wouldn’t have more left.
Chapter 7: It Never Ends
They somehow got glitched and got stuck in Room 666 and there’s a lot of entities in that room and they were stuck in bars. Epilk Gamer and Dave saw a crowbar. So Epilk Gamer picked it up as a weapon and broke down the bars for Dave and himself. They escaped the prison and saw five entities. Epilk Gamer knew what to do. He destroyed the entities and got a gun. Epilk Gamer told Dave to pick up the gun and use it as a weapon.
So Dave picked up the gun, like Epilk Gamer said, and somehow Dave got shot in the arm. Until Epilk Gamer noticed that there was an entity 150 studs away from them.
Epilk Gamer quickly picked up Dave’s gun and sniped the entity right in the head. On the other hand, Dave was bleeding a lot. But luckily for Dave, Epilk Gamer always carries a medkit and knows how to use it so Epilk Gamer quickly healed him up.
Chapter 8: A Fatal Revival
Dave felt his arm again and he was so happy, and so was Epilk Gamer for him, but now they had to continue and escape the Glitchy Backrooms. Epilk Gamer thought of a plan. The plan was “What happens if you kill all the entities in the Backrooms?” so Epilk Gamer told Dave and they agreed to the plan.
After a while resting, somehow Epilk Gamer’s crowbar got upgraded to a Black Inky Sword. They finished taking a break and went to work killing entities. Epilk Gamer and Dave saw five entities right next to the walls. Dave sneakily shot the four entities and saw a diamond gem. Epilk Gamer and Dave found out that the entities were guarding a gem.

THE SECRET DRIFTWOOD PORTAL

On a hot summer day, I was in my bedroom playing on my computer. My siblings and I were all playing a game together. We were playing a game called Unlimited Items in Bloxfruit, where you create a world together, when suddenly a message appeared on my sister’s screen. The message said, “Do you want to go in the portal, or be stuck on the 15th floor?”
She was excited to read that message. She decided to click yes to the message, and the whole house started to shake like an earthquake was happening. A light shone out of her screen and slowly grew bigger and bigger until it was a big square light coming out of her screen. My sister was now a little scared.
My siblings and I decided together to take this as a challenge and dive into the portal. We could see a lot of people were gathering around a space. They were carrying mines. It seemed that they wanted to blow up something.
We all walked into the portal slowly, because according to my parents, we have to walk slowly when mysterious things appear.
I was not afraid, so I ran into it. When I got in, I accidentally stepped on something heavy. It didn’t hurt, but it made a noise. It sounded like an alarm started to go off, and I realized it was actually a bomb! It was counting down—20 seconds left to explode. I put my hands to my back to protect my siblings. They were afraid of what was going to happen, but I was not.
For a second, I could see everything inside the portal, and it looked just like my neighbourhood. I could even see Driftwood School, and it looked so different from the real one—the walls were blue and black and the trees were moving so much around. Tick, tick, the alarm was still going on.
Suddenly, my parents popped into the portal as well and they said, “Hey, why did you let your siblings inside? It’s too dangerous.”
I replied, “They were not scared, just a little curious!”
The bad guys that were carrying the mines started to look angry at us, and they started to charge in our direction. When they were close to getting us, a ninja wearing a black and blue suit came to our rescue.
It was the Driftwood Ninja! He told me he knew karate, and then he kicked the mines away to the bad guys. The mines exploded, and there was no sight of the bad guys anymore—they disappeared like a glitch.
The portal stayed open, and we all went to explore the place together. We went to Driftwood School and there was no one there. After that, we just went back out of the portal and my sister closed the portal by closing the laptop. We ended the day by going swimming all together.

Eventually they turned all the levers and saw a pool entity, but the exit also opened so they rushed through the exit and made it through the exit.

They took things seriously when the game somehow malfunctioned and gave them the dreams axe. They now had super speed and a higher IQ thanks to the dreams axe. So the game was quickly forced before the axe snapped. However, at least they managed to leave the Office and were now moving on to the Rocks.
Chapter 5: The Rocks
Jeff and Dave saw a clone of themselves but since they had a bigger IQ, they knew it was a skinwalker just like the skinwalker ranch, so they ran away from him. After running away from the skinwalker Jeff and Dave noticed that the room was becoming darker and darker, so they quickly had to plan something to escape this room called the Rocks. After an hour of planning, they saw a purple portal, and they jumped in and got teleported into the next room. But when they teleported to the next room, Jeff and Dave fell into a trap and got smashed by the spikey wall and died.
Now Jeff and Dave had three lives left.
THE LOST GIRL

I was walking to Jane and Finch Mall when I saw a magnet on the ground. The magnet was shimmering in the sun. I took it up because it was so beautiful. I wanted it for my collection. Then I realized it was not just any magnet, it was a magical magnet!
When I picked it up, it turned into a sheep. At first,I was freaked out. Then I was like, “Wow, that’s cool.” I hesitated, but then I decided to pet the sheep because it looked so, so, so soft. As soon as I pet the sheep, I was transported to the basement of my house.
I was so confused about how I got back to my house. I went upstairs, and I tried to open my front door, but it wouldn’t open. I pushed and I pushed, but it just wouldn’t budge. Then I gave it one more good shove, and the door swung open! I realized I had gotten magical strength from touching the magical magnet.
I looked down at the front of my doorstep. I realized the magical magnet was at my door. I was so scared. Then the magical magnet transformed into a doll. I started running. The doll started singing as it was chasing me. The doll chased me past the school. I was so scared, and I decided to hide in the Jane and Finch Community Centre, but I didn’t know how to get inside.
Then it started raining heavy drops of rain, lightning flashed across the sky, and it got cloudy and dark. I ran and ran. I got lost because I ran so far. I saw the creepy doll again and I started running again, but the doll teleported in front of me so I ran the other way, hoping to find a way to escape. I remembered I had magic so I teleported to Jane and Finch Mall — back to where I found the magnet.
The magnet was restarted and teleported back to the same place I found it. I quickly broke it in half with my magical strength. And everything went back to normal. I still think about it to this day, and I get freaked out every time when I see a magnet.
STAIR CALAMITY: THE RISE OF THE RULERS
- CHAPTER 1 -

One time in Brookview Middle School, Kingsly had this magic ruler. It was hue shifting and sparkling and he showed Nathan and me the ruler. I was a bit confused at first.
I asked him, "What can this ‘magic’ ruler do?”
Kingsly said that it can do all sorts of stuff. What we all didn’t know was that the ruler was also evil!
The ruler can grow limbs, it can fly, talk, teleport, and more. All we had to do was tell it what to do and it would respond to that command. Nathan and I were really surprised.
I asked the magic ruler to give each of us a random superpower. Nathan got a Scratch Hammer (whatever he thinks of, he has to swing it for scratch to code that item to come to life). Kingsly got quick reflexes and teleportation, and I got a paintbrush (which is a Melee Weapon, and whatever I draw, that drawing comes to life).
Then, we all tested our superpowers. Kingsly wanted to go first. I tried to hit Kingsly, but he just disappeared so fast that I just ran into a wall. Next, it was Nathan’s turn. Nathan swung the Scratch Hammer and created a portal of scratch cat minions and they attacked me, but I made a shield to block them. Once Nathan swung the hammer again, the minions disappeared. Then it was my turn.
I grabbed a training dummy from the corner of the class and swung my paintbrush at it. I was surprised because when I swung it, it had this purple, blue-ish trail with bubbles on it. I was in love with this paintbrush. The training dummy also had a stain on its body based on the purple, blue-ish colour, but went away quickly.
Then it was lunchtime. The whole class went downstairs for lunch, but I was so focused on the brush that I accidentally fell down the stairs and broke my leg, but somehow I survived.
THE BLIND MAN WITH A DRAGON

One day there was a blind man named Toby. Every day he would walk to the community centre playground and walk on the ledge in the playground, jumping right on a beanbag that was placed right at the bottom of the ledge. Because he was blind, the beanbag was what reminded him that he was at the community centre.
One random day, Toby tripped on something and he said, “What was that?” Then he went to pick it up and said, “This rock is very sharp.” What Toby didn't know was that the rock was actually a dragon crystal. When Toby touched the rock, a dragon came out. The dragon’s name was Lighthawk, and it was now Toby's partner.
That meant Toby was the owner of Lighthawk. Later Toby went home, but he felt like he was being watched and followed, so he waved his guiding stick around like a mad man. Suddenly, Lighthawk touched Toby’s forehead with his paw. Toby jumped, scared. Toby said, “What touched my head?” Toby had the crystal in his right hand, and the crystal suddenly spoke to him.
“Please, take care of this dragon and it will grant you one wish.”
Toby looked confused. “Is this rock talking to me?” he said.
“I am not a rock, man. I am a dragon crystal!” the crystal spoke back.
“Relax bro, I’m blind!” replied Toby. “How am I supposed to know you’re not a rock?”
“Anyway, take care of the dragon!” replied the crystal.
“Dragon, what dragon?” said Toby.
Toby heard the tremor on the ground as the dragon walked closer to him with heavy footsteps. Then Lighthawk touched his eyes and now he could see. Toby saw the dragon and he got scared and started running for his life. The dragon followed him and Toby started getting even more scared.
“Why are you following me?” asked Toby.
“You are my owner, bingchilling!” said Lighthawk.
Toby thought to himself that having your own dragon was not a bad idea. Lighthawk told Toby he could take him to a temple and help him train with him. Toby agrees to the idea in a heartbeat. Lighthawk flies Toby to Japan, where the temple is located.
A few months later, they were still in Japan and Lighthawk sensed a bad energy. Toby was having vanilla ice cream, which he likes to call “bing chilling.”
When Lighthawk looked up to the sky, he saw a strange and dark figure. The strange figure shot a lightning beam out of its mouth. It hit the ground and cracked the floor.
Everybody was running away from the explosion. The strange figure came down, and Lighthawk told Toby to run. He picked up Toby by the shirt with his mouth and threw him on his back. He told Toby the strange figure was actually a dragon called Nighthawk, his evil brother.
Nighthawk chased them down. Toby dropped his bing chilling in the air, and it hit Nighthawk’s eye.
“My bing chilling!” screamed Toby.
Lighthawk flew as fast as he could and bought another bing chilling for Toby. It cost them nothing because everyone was running. Lighthawk put Toby down with his bing chilling. Then, he flew up and used Eternastrike on Nighthawk, but Nighthawk used a protection. Then they both went up higher in the sky, and now they were on the moon. While Toby enjoyed his bing chilling, he even bought more.
Lighthawk charged at Nighthawk and then attacked him right at his throat. Right before Nighthawk fell to the ground, he put an explosive on Lighthawk’s body. When it exploded, both of them were defeated.
They fell down to earth, and Toby ran to Lighthawk and gave him bing chilling. He asked him if he was okay, to which he answered, “Never felt better!” Toby saw the crystal glowing in his pocket, and then Lighthawk told him he had to go home now.
They said goodbye to one another, and Toby gave Lighthawk more bing chilling. Lighthawk touched the crystal and went back inside.
A couple years later, Toby was back in Toronto and the crystal glowed again after a long time, and Lighthawk came out. They greeted each other like good old pals. This was the start of a new adventure.

RULER RAMPAGE!

Once upon a time, I found a random ruler on the floor. I picked it up and thought to myself, “Ooh, a free ruler!” So I put it in my backpack, but without knowing it was sticking out.
While I was walking to class, the ruler flew out of my backpack and hit a teacher! But I didn’t even notice that it just flew out of my backpack until it hit the teacher and he got knocked out cold! Many students surrounded the teacher and looked at him. Once they surrounded him, they started laughing and laughing at him. After a minute of him being knocked out cold, he woke up. But something was off about him. He stood up and then BOOM it happened in an instant – it’s like he transformed into another ruler monster. Everyone started screaming and running away.
We called him “Dr. Rulinister.” While he was chasing after the kids, the flying ruler got up and started flying towards a student and the kid started running as fast as he could. But the ruler was just way too fast. When the kid turned around, the flying ruler was still going full speed towards him, but then it suddenly stopped in front of him. Next thing you know, a huge flash came out of nowhere. Once the big white flash appeared, there suddenly appeared “Rulenemy” — an evolved version of the ruler. Rulenemy has good martial arts, very good dodging abilities, and can do The Matrix bend. The student underestimated the ruler.
So the student challenged him to a fight and the ruler accepted his challenge. Once the ruler accepted the challenge, the student immediately charged at him. The ruler dodged him with ease. Then the ruler appeared behind him and smacked him across his face. The student got flung and smashed into another classroom. Rulenemy started walking towards him again. Then the student got up and smacked Rulenemy. He almost snapped the ruler in half! Then the student started to wombo-combo him. The ruler got beat up so much he broke into so many pieces. Then the pieces just exploded, and the student went to the nurses’ office to get better.
While that was happening, Dr. Rulinister was still chasing the students, but then he gave up because they were just way too fast. Dr. Rulinister tried to push through, but he was just way, way too tired and out of breath. The students saw the chance and sprinted at Dr. Rulinister and tried to kick him. Dr. Rulinister was too out of breath to even try fighting back. Even though the student used all of his strength to punch and kick him, Dr. Rulinister was just way too strong. Though he was getting beat up badly, he still was able to get up and fight back a little bit. Dr. Rulinister was able to knock out the student cold, but he was also pretty beat up, so he ran away to heal his injuries.
While he was trying to find a spot for him to get his breath back and heal, he ran into Rulenemy. Rulenemy asked, “How’s it going Dr. Rulinister?” and he replied, “I’m alright, just a little injured.” So then they just met up and walked out of the school. They both said “Until next time…”

One sunny day at a gas station, Jamal found a magic hamburger at a store nearby. He found the burger on a table and he ate it right away. But when he ate it, he instantly turned into a burger.
He was happy to be a burger man for some reason, so he went back home and showed himself to his family and they all thought it was so cool. He went back to the gas station and decided to purchase more burgers for his family. He found out it was magic because it had sparkles on it and the meat was made of gold. Then, they found the same gas station Jamal went to, where they sold the magic burgers.
Then, a few days later his family started to sell the burgers since they wanted everyone to be like them, because they were the Dancing Magic Hamburger family.
They put up posters around town saying they were selling burgers that could turn you into one. Once they posted the posters, they started to get a lot of money and a lot of humans that were turning into burgers. Then, they hosted a party where only burger humans were allowed. Then they traveled around the world selling magic burgers.
THE GREAT LUCKY BALL

At 10:31 a.m. on a Saturday, Jack Hat found a strange pink ball near by the Toronto Public Library. He put the ball in this large microphone he found on the grass. It had a hole on top and he placed the ball inside. Then he went to the library to read a book. He chose a book named The Great Lucky Ball and started reading it.
He noticed that the ball he found looked like the ball in the book. The book was telling him about the lucky ball that was made in 1991. It was created when an asteroid fell from space. The book said that anyone who touches the ball becomes lucky for 10 minutes. However, it only happens once in your lifetime. You cannot get lucky twice. “This can’t be true, it's just a fiction book!” said Jack Hat.
After he was done reading the book, he went to buy a new backpack because his backpack was old and dirty. Jack went to the cashier. He tried to pay but the cashier refused to take the money.
The cashier said, “NO it's free!” Jack was confused but he went to get a soda and a croissant. He tried to pay again, but he got it for free!
“Are you sure?” asked Jack Hat.
“Yes I am sure,” said the cashier.
Jack was really confused. First, the cashier at the shop, next, the bakery cashier. Jack went home and sat on the couch thinking about the weird day he had. The next day, Jack woke up and got ready to go to work.
On his way to work, he drove to the Toronto Public Library where he works. He helps people find books in the library and find the exit. His day was very, very slow and he was also bored. Whenever he did not have anything to do he would read books. Comic books were his favorite.
Jack Hat thought the lucky ball book was really weird and thought it could maybe be magical. Then, he had an idea! He went outside to look for the lucky ball to sell it for a trillion dollars. He found it right on the spot he left it the day before.
He tried to sell the lucky ball for two years, but no one bought his lucky ball. He tried to convince everyone, like Elon Musk, Mr. Beast, and Nathan, who was even a fourth grade student, but no one believed that it was magical even.
Though he wasn't sure about that either. Jack Hat kept the ball to himself, and spent the rest of his life trying to sell it.
THE MAGIC RAINBOW LEGO BLOCK

Timmey is a boy who forgot his backpack in the classroom. He returns to find a floating magical rainbow Lego block. He is hypnotized by the block and walks up to it. He tries to touch it, when all of a sudden the desk starts to fly with no warning.
Timmey runs quickly to hide in the cupboard. The Lego block is confused and does not know where Timmy went. The Lego block and desk fly out of the room.
Timmy comes out of the cupboard and is relieved that he is safe. He picks up his backpack and checks the hallways to make sure the Lego block is not there. The Lego block is nowhere in sight, so he sneaks out of the school and heads home.

MY HERO

Power For Me has broken out of jail and is stealing everyone's powers for revenge. He was bullied for his looks. He has no eyes and no mouth and could not scream for help. The only way Power For Me can give back the power-ups is through death.
While stealing power-ups, Power For Me destroyed the city and the school the hero Bob goes to: Brookview Middle School. Bob has the power to teleport to different places and dimensions.
Bob recognized Power For Me from the “World’s Most Wanted” list and decided to confront him in the gym.
“Power For Me, give back those power-ups!” says Bob.
Bob teleports right behind Power For Me and punches him, but Power For Me dodges since he has the power of echolocation. So, Bob teleports at light speed so that Power For Me can’t detect him. Bob floats a rock behind Power For Me and strikes him down, killing Power For Me!
Unfortunately, one of Power For Me’s minions brings him back to life. Bob puts the minion into a portal loop, making him move so fast that the minion disintegrates. Power For Me becomes cautious after dying and creates an unbreakable shield around himself. Bob puts him into a portal loop as well, but he successfully jumps out.
But Power For Me doesn’t realize that Bob has been powering up during the fights. Using his portal powers, he creates a blast in his hands and shoots it toward Power For Me. The blast goes right through his head, saving the city!
The city is still destroyed but thankfully saved, as the power-ups are returned to everyone. The city thanks Bob for saving them and the mayor gives Bob $20 million dollars and a card so he will never have to pay for food again.
THE MAGIC CAMERA

It was a sunny day. I, Angelica, went to Northwood Park. I saw this strange camera in the distance; I ran up to it to take a look at it. It was black and had a double camera. I took it home and took a picture of my stuffed toy Pegasus. Then it suddenly came to life! I said hi, and it said hi back.
Then this portal opened in front of me! Luckily, I had my backpack with me so I could put the camera in. The Pegasus said, “Hi, my name is Ariella! I have dark pink wings and can fly! Also, my fur is light pink. I can play drums!”
Then I went on her back and jumped into the portal. It was very windy on the way, and before I knew it, we came to Pegasus’ world! I saw pink clouds, Pegasus mall, and other kinds of Pegasuses and Unicorns!
“Welcome to my world!” Ariella said.
“Woahhhhh!” I said, surprised. Then she showed me her big house. “So when you're not alive will you still be a part of here?” I questioned.
“Yes!” she replied.
“Let’s go back to my house and find out who made the camera,” I said.
We went back and took the strange camera. I looked at it and it said, “Made in a science lab.” It also showed the address! So, we flew there. It was an abandoned science lab! It was locked until I saw a window peeping. I climbed into the lab, and Ariella too. There were copies being made.
“I think this is where the camera was made!” Ariella said.
“I think someone accidentally dropped it at Northwood Park!” I said.
Then I saw a black character appear. It was looking after the machine, so no one was there. Then its red eyes caught us, and it started chasing us! I hopped on Ariella’s back and ran and ran to Northwood Park.
“I think we lost it!” I said.
“I have to go now,” Ariella said.
“Why?” I asked.
“It's limited time. Only for a day,” she replied.
“Oh, okay, bye!” I said as I walked to my house.
THE UNIVERSE TREE

After Aaron learns that this area is magical, he asks Mike if you can actually use magic if you’re not from that area. Mike says, “Yes, as soon as the body of the creature or the human enters the atmosphere, it awakens your little magical potential.”
Mike says there are four elements: once teleported you can only use one, depending on what tribe you are teleported into. The elements are Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, but since you’re here, you get Earth Tribe, so you can control Earth.
Then Aaron realizes he wasn't teleported, he was turned tiny. So, he asks Mike if he can go and explore, and Mike says yes. So Aaron starts running to his house.
Once he gets there, he sees all of his family members, but Aaron sees himself. So he learns that he was teleported into a new universe, but in a different size. So, he runs back to Mike's tree house and he asks if he can start learning how to control Earth. Mike says yes, but in the morning it is too late.

THE SHINY TELEPORT

One day when I was walking to the park, I found something shiny. But when I picked it up, it teleported me somewhere with high walls and high ceilings. It was a weird place and I was walking around. The floor was black and when I kept walking, the walls got skinnier.
There were some doors so I opened a door. When I opened it, a brightness came flashing in my eyes. There were people that did not look like people. They looked like something, like some type of aliens but mixed with humans.
They looked at me in a weird way. Their eyes were black so then I ran away. The walls in the hall were looking like they would never end. I heard someone calling my name. I kept looking behind because I was scared, but then I vanished out of nowhere.
Then somehow when I blinked, everything was black. I was now in a dark room. It was big and I was alone. I had suddenly teleported into that room, and I could hear a conversation the aliens were having in the hallway. They wanted to take over the world, and transform all humans into aliens!
So, I started to plan my escape. I was going to tell everyone who the aliens really were and save the world.
THE MISSING STUDENTS

One day in Firgrove Public School in 2015, kids started going missing. The first person to go missing was Bob Ken, and last time he was seen was in the bathroom. This is what happened to Bob Ken.
One day he asked his teacher if he could go to the bathroom. The bathroom was very small, so only one person could go at a time. His teacher said “Yes,” so he went.
While he was walking to the bathroom, one of his friends saw him and said, “Hi Bob!”
And Bob said, “Hi Kev.”
Then Bob went into the bathroom. When he went into the stall, he needed to use the toilet, so he sat on it. Then, suddenly, he felt like he was being sucked into the toilet, and he tried fighting it back, but it was very strong — it was like a whirlpool. So he screamed so loudly, saying, “Help me get out of here!”
The toilet in that stall brought people to the dinosaur ages. The mirrors brought you into the dinosaur ages too, but no one knew that yet, because it was a new washroom!
Meanwhile, Kev heard Bob scream, so Kev went to the bathroom and Kev only saw Bob’s glasses and his shoes, and his glasses were broken.
After being sucked into the toilet, it was all dark and it took about five seconds to get out of it. When he opened his eyes again, Bob realized he was falling out of the sky. And while he was falling he saw a pterodactyl. Then he fell on a tree that made him bounce to the ground. When he got on the ground he said, “This place looks different from where I live!”
Back at the school, Kev was so scared, so he told his teacher. His teacher asked, “How did he disappear?” Kev said, “I do not know, I just heard him scream in the bathroom.”
The teacher went to see, and saw Bob’s glasses and his shoes, just like Kev had said.
Meanwhile, Bob was in the dinosaur ages, but he had a phone on him so he made a video looking around. He did not know that there were a lot of dinosaurs, but then when his phone died, he had to stay in the dinosaur ages for a long time.
Meanwhile, at school, another kid went missing, her name was Olivia Raven. This is what happened to Olivia: she asked the teacher if she could go to the washroom to fix her hair, and the teacher said ok. But, when Olivia looked into the mirror she was suddenly in the dinosaur ages! She felt confused, and then she saw Bob lying down on the ground. He was lying on the ground because of how hot it was, and he had not found water yet after two hours.
When Bob heard Olivia, he said, “Is that you, Olivia?”
Screaming, Olivia said, “Yes, it’s me!”
Olivia and Bob were in the same class and they were friends, so Bob stood up to find Olivia, because he felt alone. Bob was confused about how Olivia got into the dinosaur ages. While he was going to Olivia he saw a big pond of water and he said, “Look behind you Olivia!” She looked behind her and she saw a big pond of water too, so both of them ran to the big pond of water and when they got there they drank some pond water.
Meanwhile, in school, the principal called some engineers to break the bathroom that the two students were last seen in. While they were breaking the toilets and the mirrors, they found portals to a different dimension!
So they threw a phone with Facetime on it so they can see what’s on the other side. When it fell through the hole, it landed on Bob’s head and when it hit him he said, “Oww!”
But he realized that someone was on the phone, so he said to the engineers on the phone to put a rope in there so that he and Olivia could go back into their world. So the engineers put a rope in the hole, and when it went in, Bob and Olivia grabbed the rope.
When the engineers felt the rope move, they pulled up and Olivia and Bob were found, and after that they were not missing anymore and their families were very glad and happy for their kids to be found.
THE STORY OF 6679

In 1979, a boy named Mark and his friend named John were in Firgrove Public School. Then suddenly an earthquake happened right at the school. The earthquake shook the walls and made a massive crack on the floor, and chairs were shaking. Ten people disappeared. Meanwhile, in Mark’s classroom, one of the walls got annihilated into pieces. Mark saw a secret passageway that formed from the broken wall, and it led to a secret laboratory. The laboratory was an old 1965-style laboratory, and it was rotting away. Also there were bugs everywhere.
Mark walked through the passageway with his friend John and into the lab. The lab was named Site 6679 after a chemical. He saw a door, so he opened it, and John went in first. Mark silently said to his friend, “Is there anything in there?” and John said, ”You need to come in here.” So Mark silently walked in the room and gasped. He saw a kid, and the kid said, “6679 is coming.” Mark replied, “Who?”
Then the little kid replied, “It all started a year ago when in this lab there were scientists who were experimenting on a hamster, and they accidently dumped a mysterious chemical named 6679 on the hamster. The hamster became a mutant that was massive and creepy and the colour orange, and it destroyed
this laboratory. The name of the hamster is 6679. Then all of the scientists got eaten up, except for me.”
Mark and John gasped and cried, and then the door that led them in the secret room closed with a bang. They tried to open the door, but it was too late. 6679 heard Mark, John, and the kid. The kid saw a door and opened it and started running. Then they saw 6679 through another glass door and they started to run even faster. “The mutant hamster is faster than us,” the kid said and revealed his name. “My name is James,” he said.
Mark found a door to an exit and brought the little kid, and they escaped to the outside and closed the door. The hamster would be in the labratory forever, and they ended up back at the school.
After the school shut down ten years later, the people forgot the story. The hamster is now in the secret laboratory forever and is trying to escape and get revenge.

SOPHIA’S MAGICAL NECKLACE

One day I was in my room on my bed, and I had a cup of water. I accidentally spilled it on my new necklace when I got up. I went to get a towel and dried it. After I put it back on I said, “Oh, I wish I had ballet shoes!”
Then out of nowhere they appeared—ballet shoes right in front of me! They were pink with a white ribbon on them. They were so nice. Now I could do ballet in them.
Then my mom came in and asked, “Where did you get those shoes from?”
I said, “They magically appeared when I put on my new necklace!”
Mom said, “I don’t believe you.”
Then I said, “Okay then. You wish for something and watch if it appears.”
My mom wished for a phone, and it appeared, all new and shiny! She was so surprised and excited. Then my little sister came into my room and said in a demanding way, “I know your necklace is magical. Now I want a puppy.”
I was annoyed with the way she said it, but said “All right, I guess I’ll try and wish for one for you.” I tried and tried, but nothing happened. I think it didn’t work because I was wishing for something I didn’t really want, and my sister wasn’t asking nicely for it. I started to think that if you were mean or being disrespectful, you did not get what you wished for.
Then my mom asked me, “Why didn't your sister get what she wished for?” I told her it was because she was not being kind and the necklace would not listen to her because of it. My sister was so upset that she was crying.
Suddenly the necklace transported me to a necklace world with so many more magical necklaces. I thought it was so cool!
The necklace started talking to me. “Hi, Sophia. Welcome to my home.”
I was so shocked and said, “How can you talk? You’re a necklace, and a very small one too, for that matter! Please can you take us home?!”
The necklace said, “Okay,” and it transported us back to my house. The necklace and I became best friends, and lived happily ever after.
THE TELEPORTATION TV

In the morning my mom said we needed to go out to buy a TV because we didn’t have one. I said, “Okay,” and I went to shower and dress up. We went to Costco to go buy a TV. My mom saw a TV that she liked, and she asked me if I liked it too.
I said, “It’s okay,” and we went to go buy it and bring it home. We set it up and added the WiFi, and also added Netflix to it. I was so excited to use it and so was my little sister. My little sister said, “Let's watch Spongebob," and I said, “Okay.”
We opened Netflix and picked Spongebob and started watching. Then suddenly we saw a portal appear in front of us and we screamed. Meanwhile, my big sister and brother heard the scream and thought it was someone from the hallway. My mom and dad were out to go buy something.
Meanwhile, we got sucked into the portal in the TV and we noticed we were in Spongebob. I noticed we are bald and I was just shocked! My little sister who got sucked in with me didn’t care and said, “Let's go to the Krabby Patty restaurant!” but when we got there it was called the Burrito Patty. I noticed it was different, but my sister didn’t care.
We went in and ordered and we saw that Squidward was a girl, but we still ordered anyway. It tasted amazing. We saw someone coming in. It was someone dressed in a diving suit. We couldn’t see who it was. The person said, “I am Mandy Peeks,” but I knew that it was Sasston in disguise.
Then Mrs. Krabs came in and kicked Sasston out. I noticed this was the girl version of Spongebob. I was shocked!
I knew we had to get out of there and I still had the remote! I was shocked that the remote didn’t electrocute me. I had it with me the entire time. I thought it would be useful, so I kept it. I saw a back button, and I thought it would send us back, but I was scared to press it.
I did it anyway. In just a blink of an eye I was back! I looked around the TV and I saw a switch, and it said “on teleportation” and “off teleportation.” I switched it off to “off teleportation” and I told my little sister, “Keep this a secret or I’ll whoop you and burn all your toys.” She promised to keep it a secret.

She never told her mom, but one day she wanted a teddy bear, so she went to the Wishing Tree. She wished for one, and it came true. She got it, then she ran to her mom and said, “Mom! Mom! I went to the Wishing Tree!”
Her mom did not believe Anna.
She said, “Come.”
Then she ran to the tree with her mom. Anna wished for a toy bunny. Then her mom saw it was true, and Anna said, “See!” Her mom wished for $200,000 in cash. She got it, and her mom bought a mansion.
Her mom was so happy, but she kept wishing for more. Her mom was wishing for too much, so when they went to the tree the next day, the tree said, “You must use your wishes wisely or you can’t wish for any more.”
However, her mom did not listen and now she can’t wish for any more, but Anna can, because she did not wish for stuff all the time.

All the animals were in the Toronto Zoo. It was a fairly strange day. When all the animals felt a strong vibration in the ground, they looked up and saw a giant meteor coming in their direction. All of the zoo animals were so scared they all went to different places and managed to escape the zoo.
Now, in the city, a giraffe was running down the street causing havoc everywhere. It hid behind a tall building. There was a bear that also ran to a tall mountain. He tried to dig a cave, but the rocks collapsed on him. Then the monkey ran to the zoo to see his own kind but ran into a suspicious house full of tanks with toxins in it.
Then this gorilla came out of a cave and saw something in the sun. He saw something rising from the sun, and then before he knew it a laser beam hit him and he was getting madder every second. The animals transformed into giants and protected the world!
The animals are back after five years and they are trained for what is coming and they are stronger things who can rampage into powerful and strong creatures.
KATE AND THE MAGIC BOX

There was an 11-year-old girl named Kate. One day she wanted to go to the Toronto Public Library. Kate loved books and wanted to get a new one because she finished all her other books at home. Soon she arrived at the library. When she was looking for a book, she suddenly heard a little sound. She got curious and decided to follow the strange sound in the library. She thought it sounded magical because she didn’t know how to explain the sound.
Kate was getting closer and closer to the sound, and the sound started getting louder and louder. Finally, Kate found the strange sound which was coming from a book. The book was green and purple and the title of the book was called “The Secret of The Magic Box.” Kate was so enchanted by the book that she couldn’t stop staring. She was sitting in the library reading that cool looking book until it became dark. She looked out the window and saw the beautiful full moon. The library was open for 24 hours, but it looked like she was the only one there.
Kate decided to leave the library with her magical book, but before she could leave, she saw a big purple light that filled the quiet room. Kate slowly turned around and her jaw dropped. There was a big purple box with a sign on it that said Magic Box. Kate couldn’t believe her eyes because it was the same box from the book, and it had just came to life! There was a note on the box and it said, You can have three wishes but keep everything a
secret. If you tell anyone about this, your wishes will not come true and you will get bad luck.
So Kate had always wanted to see her mom who had passed away when she was only five. Kate said, “I wish I could see my mom one last time and have one hour with her.” After three seconds, her mom came out of the magic box and they both hugged each other. The time was passing so fast and they were talking so much that they had 10 seconds left. So they said their goodbyes. Kate’s second wish was for a secret talking pet cat.
Soon an orange cat came out of the box. The cat said, “Hello there stranger.” The cat was a bit funny. Now it was time for Kate’s final wish, which was for another talking cat. After three seconds the cat came out of the box.
Now the job was done. The magic box and the book disappeared. No one knew about Kate’s precious secret.
CURSED, THE BANANA TREE MONKEY

Inside the Black Creek Forest, there is a cursed banana tree. If you eat them, you start acting silly. Also, there was a blue monkey named Artic.
It was a hot sunny day and Artic’s mother asked him to go fetch some bananas in the Black Creek Forest for lunch. Artic was a blue monkey and he lived with his mom and grandma. His mom owned a business called MonkeyMart. She was in charge of handling the bananas, the customers, the cows, and every other product she carried in the market.
Artic took off on his walk to the forest. When he got there, he started going his usual path but he forgot the right way and went the wrong way. He went to the forbidden tree. He took a few bananas off the tree with him, without realizing it was the wrong tree. And these were not normal bananas; these were cursed bananas that were 2000 years old. When he got back to his mom’s store to supply the bananas, he gave them to his mom. They cooked them and served it. The mom had to go to the MonkeyBank and left Artic to eat. When he ate the bananas, he became silly, like the joker.
The next day, he became sillier. It was like another person was in his head. His mom called him down to get dressed to go to Monkey School. At the school, the bell rang and he had to go inside. He saw his friend Khelvin, and they went inside to their classes. They were still in Grade 6. The new first year in the school. They sat down and got settled in.
The teacher said, “Good morning students, we are doing an assignment. Get into groups.”
They started working, but that’s when the voices came in Artic’s head. “Help, help. You need to help us please.”
Then he came back to his senses and got back to normal. The teacher asked him if he was okay. He said, “Yeah.” Then, it was recess and at the end of recess, he became silly again, but this time it took control of him. It devoured him. He left the school and went back to Black Creek. He went back to the cursed tree where he had eaten the bananas. The school reported him missing.
The next day, it was nighttime when his mom was closing up the store and she was looking for him. He suddenly appeared right in front of her. His mother said, “Artic, Artic, where have you been?”
Artic started whispering random stuff. Then he attacked his mom. Then, they both went missing.
The next day at the market, the store was still open, but there was no one inside. Three little children appeared: the Grinch, the Blue, and Mountain Dew. They were up to no good. They used to crash the place, but when they heard the market had not been used in a while, and there seemed to be a curse, they didn’t believe it until they saw it for themselves. When they got to the market, it was quiet like a mouse. Every time they walked through the place, there were cracking sounds.
The three little children were going inside. The door was closed shut, and it felt and looked like a maze. They heard someone breathing. They walked in the sound’s direction. Someone was saying, “Please, no, stay away.”
They came closer, but the person was gone. They tried to get out, but the door was locked shut. Then, they heard someone coming. It was Artic. He walked like he was cursed. The children were frightened. They knew he was the kid who went missing. They thought about walking up to him, but he looked cursed and irritated.
They tried to sneak around but they hid in the section where the cows were. They knocked over the barrier for the cows and they ran them over, but the only thing that would uncurse Artic was a strawberry yogurt. Then they looked up a video on the internet of a scientist talking about how they created an experiment that went wrong. It was about a strange banana. Someone had eaten the banana and suddenly, everyone in that lab went missing.
Artic heard the noise and walked over. They tried to run and hide, but Blue tripped over some corn. Artic was coming. Blue tried to get up. Artic came running to them. Kids tried looking for the strawberry yogurt, but Artic caught them and they all disappeared. The market was closed down forever, and they were never seen again.

Once upon a time there was a girl named Emily Rose. She had a bunny named Snowy, and she also had a little sister named Emma. One day while Emily was sleeping, her family was packing things to move to their new house.
In their new house, there was a parking lot so they could park their car and more. Emily couldn’t stop thinking of her old house, so she took a walk around the neighborhood to get fresh air with her sister, but then they stopped at the library.
Chapter 2: Something Magical Happens
When they stepped inside, all eyes were on them. While they were looking for a book in the library, Emma found carrots on the floor, so she yelled, “Emily!”
Emily ran to her. “What happened? Did something bite you like a bug or even worse, a monster?” Emily yelled.
“Shh!” said everyone at the library to them, because they were being so loud.
Emma said, “Look!” On the floor, there was a glowing bunny, so Emily quickly opened her bag and sneaked the glowing bunny inside it.
Chapter 3: The Magic Made it Worse
There was a bag of magic glowing dust next to the glowing bunny. They both gasped and ran out of the library with the dust bag and the bunny. They could not stay there or they would end up in big trouble. They ran and ran and did not stop until they reached home.
They climbed to the top of the tree house, then they locked all doors and they covered the windows so no one could see them. They locked the door so their parents would not come in.
When Emily opened her bag with the dust and the glowing bunny, Snowy suddenly started talking. Emma fainted when she heard them.
“The glowing dust will make a bad thing happen to you,” said Snowy the bunny. When Emily and Emma opened the glowing dust bag, there was magic glowing dust everywhere, covering the whole room.
They all gasped, even the bunny. Suddenly, the whole room was shaking and there was water flooding the room. Emma was drowning because she didn't know how to swim.
Emily tried to save her sister but she wouldn’t wake up, so Emily grabbed the magic glowing dust and put some in the cup with water. When Emily put the cup in her mouth so she could drink it, Emma finally woke up and started moving again.
Chapter 4: Something Happened Next
When Emma was awake, they opened the door to see what had happened outside. It was dark and cold, so Emma and Emily went to look for sticks to make a campfire.
Two weeks passed and they ran out of food and water, so they had to search for food.
They brought their big water bottle to fill it up with water. After searching for food, they ran back home to use the magic dust bag. Emily held on to the dust bag and said, “Magic, Magic! Give me a box with food and water every day!” so they could survive.
Every day Emily and Emma prayed to God, so there could be a miracle. They prayed and prayed. They wished they had their parents because they had time travelled, so they couldn’t see their parents anymore. So Emily had to watch Emma.
Chapter 5: Things Are Turning Good
When Emma prayed one last time, the room started shaking, then stopped. Emma and Emily made the glowing bunny Emma’s pet, so they adopted the glowing bunny. They time-traveled back to where they were. They were so happy, but then they realized the police were outside. But then it was okay because they were going to make things right, so they told the police everything.
Then the police excused himself and walked to Emily and Emma's parents. When they were finished talking, they weren’t in big trouble or grounded. The police wanted to thank Emma and Emily for helping other people at the old house.
Emily and Emma now live happily ever after.

Once upon a time there was an Argentinean girl named Ana who loved exploring nature, saving animals, and helping them. Ana moved to North York, Canada with her family.
This change from five months ago was hard for her as she missed her whole family whom they left behind. She remembered her home to be filled with lots of family around, her little brother, and family friends.
Ana loved to write and eat french fries. Her favourite place was McDonald’s—she frequently went, around thirty times a month.
When she wasn’t eating, she was chatting with her friends all day as she had 167 very important contacts on WhatsApp.
When she talked to her friends they asked her if she’d made a snowman yet, or if it would snow the next day since in Argentina, where her friends are; it doesn’t snow. Ana also asked them if it would be warm over there and their plans for the day. One had an aquatic-themed birthday recently!
Ana felt like her life was complicated and she had a lot on her shoulders living with her brother named Manuel. Manuel had begun practicing parkour inside the house. Sometimes he’d land on her by accident like an airplane. Sometimes
Manuel would be so annoying that he’d wake everyone up in the morning like a rooster. According to Ana, sometimes he’d sit on her shoulders since he was bigger than her and would hurt her on purpose.
One day her mom was around during a time her brother bothered her. Meanwhile, she screamed in pain when her mom stepped in to help her, then she was able to listen to Ana as she found comfort in her arms.
“Mami, everything will be okay, it’s over and won’t happen again,” said her mom to her.
Once she felt heard by her mom about the things bothering her, she was able to feel better and admitted that she really missed her mom as she expressed that she hadn’t been able to see her due to her new work schedule.
In return, her mom promised her she’d adjust her schedule to see her more.
One day I opened my door to look outside, but I saw a piece of paper taped on my door. It said that the water is going to be cut off so the people could fix the pipe, and in 35 minutes it is going to be cut.
THE DAY MY WATER GOT CUT

So, my mom and I collected water in some containers to use for one and a half days. We also had some water bottles. I was okay with them cutting off the water because they had to fix it. Then one and a half days passed and the water didn’t come! We were worried.
My mom bought more water from the store. In the middle of the night, I saw a shooting star fly by. So I wished for the water to come back. The next day I woke up and checked the tap and the water came back - we were so happy!
STORY OF YORKGATE

I was home playing on my PS5 when my mom called me from Yorkgate Mall to ask what I wanted to eat. I told her that I wanted sweet and sour chicken because it’s my favourite dish. She started heading for the food court, but then she sounded worried and told me that she had to call me back because a lady fainted while eating.
Thirteen minutes later my mom called me again on the way to the bus stop and told me what happened at the mall.
My mom has medical training because she works with seniors. So she asked if she could help, but they refused. Instead of helping, she decided to go upstairs and watch. Because the lady was still unconscious, her friend was panicking and didn’t know what to do. The mall security and some staff went to check on the lady, but everyone else stayed far away and watched. One staff had a nursing history and helped assist the lady. Finally, some employees from a store nearby called for an ambulance. Once the ambulance arrived, the lady woke up and they took her to the hospital.
When my mom came home, she was frustrated because she wasn’t able to help the lady. But, she still brought food for me and we ate it together.
THE CLIMBING BROTHERS

It was a typical day of spring. The sun was shining. The air was warm, and me and Connor were on our way to our favourite tree. Connor and I have known each other for two and a half years and have been climbing together ever since. He’s like a brother to me.
Whenever we’re bored we like to climb trees close along Driftwood Ave and meet each other at the very top. We arrived at our tree and began climbing it.
Our techniques vary, but usually, Connor and I climb our own ways to meet at the top of this tree. Sometimes people watch. Sometimes we talk about everything at the same time.
We met at the top where we meet eyes and take a good look at our surroundings. Connor and I hold on to the branches around us.
Before I realize it Connor has jumped off the branch he’s standing on, off of the tree and onto the ground. I release myself from the branch I’m holding and jump off the tree as well, following Connor who’s running towards the school.
We get near Driftwood catching our breath and decide to go to T-China for dumplings.
I got the yellow dumplings and so did Connor. We each got five. They tasted so good. They have meat inside, a bit like shrimp and other meat. I always feel good whenever I eat them. There should be more dumplings in the world.
MY COMPUTER IS LOST

I have a computer that is my favorite because I like to play a game called 3D Paint. I do my work in Google classroom, and play cooking games, and word search, and Candy Crush
I always put my computer in the storage room before going to bed. One day I woke up in the morning, and I went to look for my computer in the storage room. I ran far, to the storage room. I was searching everywhere but I could not find it! I was crying and crying, because when I do not have my computer, I have to go outside and play. I did not want to go outside because it was windy and snowing.
I am not used to cold weather because it is warm in Sri Lanka; the weather is hot and it sometimes rains, I like the rain. I was thinking about that and I had not eaten or played all day, but then, I found the computer in the kitchen, so I was very happy. I forgot I had left my computer in the kitchen the night before, I was eating my favorite cheesy chips.
The computer is very beautiful, and the name of the computer is Pink. I spent the rest of my day playing games.
MY NEIGHBOURHOOD SHOOTING EXPERIENCE

One day I was cleaning my room when I heard a booming sound. I went downstairs and asked my brothers if they heard it too. My mom did not hear anything because she had earpods in. When she took them off, there were sounds of a machine gun shooting!
My mom asked us to stay in the living room and stay away from all the windows. While my mom was on the phone with our father, I tried to calm my brothers down. I gave one of them my phone and the other a Nintendo, and let them play games while I cuddled them in my arms.
At that moment all the shooting had stopped and we started to hear police sirens, which followed up with knocking on our door. Our mom told us to hide. She checked who it was, while I got a broom, just in case, you know. I hid while my mom opened the door. There was a policeman.
He asked if we witnessed anything before they arrived. They asked her if she had any children. She answered, no. She had not witnessed anything, and she does have children. The police asked if he could meet us, so my mom called us downstairs to meet him. He said hello and apologized for the mishap, and gave us all slushie coupons.
We said thank you and he left. Hours later, our dad came back from work, worried. He could not find a parking space so he just parked on the side of the road and ran to our house. He knocked on the door so hard I'm sure I almost had a heart attack.
We opened the door and he hugged us tight, crying, and said he was so sorry he wasn't there to protect us.
After we ate dinner and watched a movie, we went to bed. My brothers were too scared to sleep, so I offered for them to sleep in my room. The next morning, Dad got a parking ticket and we were still being super careful when my brothers and I were walking to school. We noticed there was a policeman still there, so after school, we asked our mom why and she said they were staying for two days so we felt safe.
So, remember if this experience similarly happens to you, make sure to stay away from windows and stay close to family.
SATURDAY WITH MY MOM

As soon as I open my eyes, I notice it’s one of my favourite days ever. Today it’s Saturday, and I’m going to the pool with my mom. This Saturday is special because we will be swimming and then spending the rest of the day together.
We make our way to the recreation community center. As we go in we see other kids already playing in the pool. We walk into the pool with our swimsuits on, and I immediately feel the cold water on my toes from sticking in my leg. My mom laughs at me, as she’s already in the pool.
I get inside the pool and see the kids in a splash fight right beside me. I join the splash fight, clapping my hands to the water, defending myself from the other kids splashing at me.
As I splash away, the other kids and I notice a new kid getting in the pool. We immediately exchange glances, agreeing to ambush this new contestant in our splash fight. Water is going everywhere—you can barely see what’s taking place.
Suddenly, one kid yells, “LAST ONE UNDER THE WATER LOSES!”
Suddenly five children and myself are plugging our noses submerged underwater. I take a peek under the water and count five heads trying very hard to hold their breath the longest underwater. They don’t know I can hold my breath for 40 seconds.
Slowly, the heads start disappearing, and only two people remain, me and another kid who stay in the water for a full minute.

THE GIRL WITH THE MAGIC WAND

One day a girl named Alice went to the library because she liked to read. Alice had blue eyes and brown hair, and she was wearing a crop top and blue ripped jeans. She was also light-skinned.
Alice was looking for a very nice picture book to read until she found a book titled The Pond that Grants Wishes. The pond was clear, and it had trees surrounding it. She thought the book would be perfect for her, so she opened it and the book fell right out of her hands. The book started growing big—big enough for her to fall inside, and she did!
“What is happening? Ahhhhh!”
When she fell inside, Alice found herself at the same pond that she saw on the cover of the book, called The Pond that Grants Wishes. “Huh?” said Alice. Then a beautiful woman appeared in front of her. She was a little bit short, had long hair, a hair bow, and wings, and wore a white t-shirt and pants.
“Hello, my name is Celina, and this wand in my hand is for you!” A silver wand glowed in her hands.
Alice took the wand and said, “Thank you!”
Soon after, Alice got teleported back to the library. She went to a field and said, “I wish for a mansion,” then—poof!—a beautiful mansion spawned in front of her. The house had two floors, seven rooms: one bathroom upstairs and one downstairs, one kitchen, two living rooms, one bedroom, and one guest room. She was only eight, and her mansion came with a nice grey Tesla.
Alice went inside the mansion and into her room and went to sleep. The next morning, she remembered she had a wand, and was really happy again. She wished for money, and she was really happy! She called her friends, and they played hide and seek at the park. Alice and her friends Sugar and Camila wanted to have a sleepover, so they all went to Alice’s house. When they went home they played a game called Roblox and they had so much fun. They ate cotton candy for dinner and went to bed at 12:00 a.m.
Alice told her friends about the magic wand and Sugar wished for a pet goldfish. Alice wished for a pet dog and named it Samic, then Camila wished for her wish. “I wish for another magic wand,” then—poof!—another wand appeared on the soft carpet. “Hehe,” they laughed, and then they watched a movie called Wednesday.
DESTINY KING

Once upon a time, a boy named Kevin goes to the library to pick a book. When he got there, he needed to use the washroom. When he stepped on a loose tile, the tile opened a door to the basement. Kevin lifted the tile and a torch lit up. Kevin walked down the basement and saw a long hall. He was biting his nails, sweating, and fidgeting nervously.
A random voice says, “You are the chosen one.” He saw tiles and the torches came out of the wall. He saw a floating book stand and an average pocket-size book was on it. The book is 200 million years old. Kevin walks up to it and pulls the book off the stand. He opened the book and a sword started to levitate. He held the sword and the book disappeared. The book said the sword's name is Destiny.
In a different universe, a clock starts ticking, telling Kevin he lives in Universe 9, not 10, and that in nine years’ time, a war will break out between universes 9 and 10.
On his way home Kevin got jumped by four gangsters. The sword came out and defeated them. But he felt odd, the sword took cosmic energy from him. He went home and slept for five days.
When he woke up, a spirit told him to go back to the library. When he got there, he saw a note that said, “Destiny is not a thing, it is time.”
Nine years have passed. The war started, and Kevin was fighting for his life. There was a person named HSCT247, he was Destiny’s brother named Chaos. The oppo-
nent has a fighter named Master and he used a scythe. Kevin and Chaos tried to fight him, but failed.
Kevin and Chaos fused into one, then they overpowered him and won the war. Now universe 9 is the most feared for 10 million years. Kevin stays in Universe 9 with his friends and fixes up Universe 9. They lived happily ever after.
THE NORTHWOOD CURSED SWORD

A long time ago the King died of sickness, he lived in an old castle located in Northwood Park. The guy who buried the King was cursed and turned into a sparkly sword by a witch. The King’s ghost haunted the sword because he thought that the sword guy got him sick.
One hundred years later someone wanted to pick up the sword. They went to Northwood Park and tried to pick up the sword, but it was too heavy. Then their skin turned purple and then they finally picked up the sword. The sword guy was still alive after 100 years.
The sword was the only person who could see the King. The sword asked for forgiveness and the King said, “Ask my family, and if they say yes I will forgive you. If they say no, you will stay a sword forever.”
The sword told the person to go to the King’s old castle. The person ran inside the King’s old castle. The King’s family was still alive. The person holding the sword asked for forgiveness. The King’s family said, “We forgive you.”
The King's family called over a witch to turn him back to a human. They turned the sword man into a human. The sword man told the people his name was Robert. A couple of years later Robert became the King. Robert had not aged at all while he was a sword, he still looked 30 years old.
OBEDIAH 1.0 AND THE WIZARD

Obediah 1.0 is at home in his flying house. Obediah 1.0 is a one-trillion-year-old young boy.
One day he is sitting on a chair, happy. He has to sneeze, a real big ACHOO!
Obediah 1.0 accidentally sets off a magic wand and he turns into a Plutonium beige coloured block. The block is a storage area for explosives, and any wrong move could explode it.
Fortunately the timer on the magic runs out and Obediah 1.0 turns back into a boy. He picks the wand back up now that he has hands again. With the magic words, “Here you go wizard,” he uses the wand to magic himself into the wizard's lair.
The wizard is waiting patiently for Obediah 1.0. Obediah 1.0 hands the wand back to the wizard. The wizard says thank you, then uses the wand to send Obediah 1.0 back to his home in Toronto. He is happy to be home again and safe from accidentally turning himself into something.
A SHORT GENIE STORY

Once upon a time a twenty-one old boy named Judah went to Fresh Co to buy offbrand snacks, like Detos and Prongles because they were cheap and taste the same (kind of, but not really).
Judah was pretty broke because he didn’t have a job. He went to the Fresh Co mall and looked at the red apples and bananas. He saw something shiny at the apple stand. He grabbed the shiny thing hidden under the apples. When he touched it he found out that it was a genie lamp.
He was so happy and excited. He rubbed the genie lamp as fast as he could and a genie came out!
The genie said, “You can only have two wishes.”
Judah was unhappy because he wanted three wishes. Judah may not be rich, but he is smart.
He got a notebook and said, “My wish is that whatever I write in this notebook comes true.”
The genie said, “Okyay.”
Judah drew $1,000,000,000,000,000 (a quadrillion dollars). After he drew it the money appeared in his bank account, and Judah walked out of the Fresh Co to enjoy his life.

When he did, everyone he saw was scared, but he was friendly to people. It took a day for people to realize he was nice to everyone, even the government was nice to him. Over the years, he was nice to everyone and everyone was nice to him for days, months and years. Everyone is nice to him.

Epilogue: Now he and his mother are rich and the sixth grade bullies never bothered kids in the elementary school again.

THE GHOST IN THE FOREST

Today was a foggy and gloomy day. It was wet outside because it had just rained, so the grass wasn’t dry yet. I decided to play in my backyard. Since the grass was wet, I had to be careful because I didn’t want my shoes to get dirty.
While playing with my soccer ball, I kicked it a little too hard and it went over the fence and into the forest in my backyard. While looking over the fence I couldn’t see my ball at all because of how foggy and dark it was. Plus it was kind of creepy and I heard a sound coming from the forest: some wet footsteps.
I decided to go into the forest to get my ball back. Before I went, I got some equipment for the journey because of how mysterious and dangerous it could be. I would be bringing some water because I could be thirsty looking for my ball, and a flashlight to help me see better. I was wearing a long sleeve shirt and a jacket, and some pants because it was pretty chilly outside and there were bugs in the forest. I didn’t want to get bitten.
While getting ready, I told my mom I would be going out. When I walked to the forest entrance, I saw a lot of signs for people who had gone missing on the bulletin board. It was terrifying. So after I was done drinking some water, I stood in front of the forest entrance. I was scared but I was not going to leave without my ball.
I put my flashlight on and walked in. My shoes started to get so dirty, muddy, and messy. It was so disgusting, but it was worth it for my ball. While walking randomly
for a couple minutes, I got thirsty and got my water. I drank some water, but while drinking I saw some abnormal person standing still, looking at me.
It was a huge person with long arms and legs, its fingers had nails long as a ruler. It was as tall as the trees behind them, the body was skinny and bony, its eyes were popping out, and it was gray like a dead body. It was just so terrifying to stand there. I just ran as fast as I could. I wasn’t going to die for a soccer ball and so I tried to run out of the forest but I got lost.
I stopped for a moment and noticed it wasn’t following me, so I just started to walk again. After a minute, I found a key on the ground and picked it up. Then I thought to myself, “Where does this key go?”
My option was to either find the exit so I could leave this forest or find out where this key belongs to. I chose to look for an exit but while walking I saw a cabin in the middle of the woods. It looked rusty and old. It was made out of wood, so I decided to try using the key on the cabin. I walked to the cabin and tried to open the lock with the key, and it worked!
I heard a faint noise coming from the cabin and I was shook by the sound. So, I walked slowly inside the cabin. I pulled out my flashlight from my backpack and put it towards the inside of the cabin. When suddenly, I stepped on a wooden floor piece that felt hollow. It had a handle to pull on, so I did. Then, there was a ladder to a basement. It was so dark I couldn't see anything. So I put my flashlight towards the basement, and I went down the ladder.
Going down the ladder, one of the bars snapped and I fell on my arm, and it broke. I screamed in pain, but after a minute I got up. I was now in the basement. It smelled bad and moldy. The basement was quite huge and I explored each corner of it. As I walked in, I found a wooden door and opened it cautiously. I put my flashlight on to see better, and I saw multiple body-sized bags. Each bag had a sign on it with a name, and the names were exactly like the ones on the missing signs. I opened one of the bags. It was a boy named Kennedy.
He seemed like he had died a long time ago. There were bugs and maggots all over and inside his body. I read the sign that had his name on it, and it said he
really wanted ice cream, and a stranger told him to come inside the cabin for ice cream. “Bing chilling” were his last words.
I took a look around, and I saw a small fridge at the very far end of the room. I went and opened the fridge and saw a tub of vanilla ice cream. It had expired three years ago. I opened the ice cream and it was all moldy and melted. So, I decided to close it and took it with me back to Kennedy’s body. I dumped the melted ice cream on his face and it did nothing, but that was his last wish: ice cream.
I just decided to leave, but my arm was still hurting. I looked for another exit because I couldn’t go up the ladder because of my arm. After a moment, I heard footsteps above me. The monster was back!
I ran inside and opened one of the bags, and squeezed myself in. It smelled horrible and all of the bugs were on me. I heard the monster coming downstairs. It was walking towards the room with bags, I stayed inside until it came even closer to me. I could hear his heavy breathing.
I suddenly popped out of the bag and surprised the monster. He was definitely surprised. I heard another strange noise - it was coming from Kennedy’s bag! I saw it shaking and the bag suddenly exploded, spilling a bunch of ice cream all over the monster, me, and the walls.
After I cleared my eyes, I saw a big sludge of ice cream, with eyes, a mouth and a nose. It was Kennedy, even though it didn’t look like him. He was an ice cream monster, and it looked like it had all of the flavors: vanilla, chocolate, mint, and anything you can think of. Kennedy spilled ice cream all over the monster. The monster got really mad. He screamed so loud, it hurt my ears. But then Kennedy jumped on top of the
monster, and started consuming it into his body. I took the chance, and went up the ladder with one arm and my two legs. I got upstairs and just ran away.
As I was running, I saw a bright light ahead of me, and when I got closer to it. I realized it was my ball! I picked it up and put it in my bag. Now that I had my ball, I looked for the exit. I found the exit because I followed a trail that showed me the way back. I followed it until I was back at the entrance of the forest, so I just ran as fast as I could. The weather was surprisingly sunny now, there was no more gloom or fog. So, I decided to go back home. My mom looked so scared in the living room, but then she saw me. She thought I had gone missing because she did not see me for the whole day.
After one hour of laying in my bed, I decided to go play in the backyard with my ball again. I accidently kicked it over the fence, but this time around, I decided to not go in. I was not gonna risk seeing the monster again.
THE CREEPY MAN

Once there was a girl named Kalya and her friends, named Lisa and Mia. They all lived in Toronto near Jane and Finch. One day they went to the Driftwood swimming pool to celebrate Lisa's birthday. After the party was done, they went home.
At 3 a.m. Kalya heard someone knock at her door and ring the doorbell. She opened the door, but there was nobody there, so she went back to sleep.
She heard the knock again! She got up and opened the door, but there was nobody there.
Just when she was about to go to sleep, she heard somebody knock on the door AGAIN!
This time she checked the window and saw a man holding a knife standing at the door. He was wearing a strange mask: the mask was peach-coloured, and the eyes were cursed.
The man broke in the window and she screamed. The man put her into the basement and locked her in the closet. Kayla was screaming so loud that her friends heard.
Her friends went down to the basement looking for her. Lisa heard someone crying in the basement closet.
Mia said, “The closet is locked.”
They tried to find the key. They opened the closet and found Kayla with her mouth and legs covered with tape. Lisa tried to take off the tape as fast as possible.
The man saw Lisa and Mia trying to help Kayla. Then the man tried to stab Lisa and Mia!
Thankfully, Lisa managed to escape and ran off to call the police. After a few moments, the police arrived at the scene, arrested the man, and freed Kayla and her friends.
1989 GONE

In 1989, a boy named John was dared by his friends to go into the Haunted, which was a haunted mansion located on Keele Street. John was only 15 years old. He went there with one of his friends, William. William was taller than John. When they got inside, they saw everything distorted.
John and William were running away from something, they went into a room trying to hide. The room was very big, but very dark inside. Once they were in, they both hid in different corners.
“Is it gone?” whispered John.
“lOOk bEHiNd YoU,” spoke suddenly in a creepy voice.
“Who’s there?” asked John, scared.
John ran to the door, but as soon as he touched the door, the knob fell off. John was so scared he was speechless. The last thing he saw was pure darkness.
“tOo lAtE,” said the mystery voice once again.
John was missing for four days. William was still stuck in that dark room, he had not heard from John in a long time.
Outside the mansion, their friend Nathan was worried about his friends missing.
“Maybe I should look for them,” said Nathan. John and William always talked about the mansion, they always wanted to go there. So Nathan decided that was the first place he would search. “All right guys, here we g—” he said.
Nathan was suddenly teleported into the mansion. He felt weird and his head was hurting.
Inside of the mansion, Nathan saw a clown that was big and the arms were extended, really long arms. The clown literally grabbed everyone that was there, Nathan saw Jariah, Patrick, Jackson and William. They were all worried and looking for John and after the clown grabbed them, all five of them were sent to a dungeon.
John was there and they gave him a big hug. They started to plan a way to get out of the dungeon. The clown was always watching them, and they used that to their advantage. One of them was going to distract the clown, while in the dungeon there was a hidden key they found by accident attached to the vent above them. They used Patrick as a ladder and picked up the key and opened the vent. Jackson was doing a great job at distracting the monster. After that, they all managed to get out of the mansion. They ran out of the mansion.
They never returned to the mansion because they were smart.
WHAT IS HAPPENING

Once upon a time, there was a guy named Bob. Bob was a normal stickman. Bob was peacefully sleeping in his house until he woke up on a big loop of staircases. He didn't know the staircases were looped.
Bob saw someone chasing him, so he ran and ran, but the murderer was catching up. The faster he ran, the faster the killer ran after him. Then Bob had an idea: he decided to head to the top. (He still didn’t know it was a loop.)
Bob said, “What is even happening!?”
Bob started running and running, but he could never see the top! When he was still running, he decided to try another idea: he took off his belt and dropped it on the killer’s head. That didn't work either.
Bob said, “Why is nothing working?”
He was so terrified that he decided to jump down the staircases, but that didn’t work either. Bob was so confused and also really terrified of dying. He decided to stop and look around.
He looked around, and he was in shock. He finally realized he was in a loop and he was on a mountain.
Bob went higher and higher and found something: a note that said, “Don’t try running away Bob.”
“Why is this even happening to me?" Bob said.
Now he was really, really high up. He decided to jump down, but he broke a leg and was still stuck in the loop.
He said, “OW! This hurts so bad!”
The murderer looked like he was getting faster. Bob was so scared. He looked around for a clue.
Then he found a clue that said, “Look around. If you want to get out, you need to find a blue rock. This will help you escape.“
He said "Well, this is my only way out of here.”
Then he realized that on the 30th floor he’d seen a blue rock. He decided to look around to find a way out. He found a grappling hook on the second floor and he decided to use it to get to the 30th floor. When he got there, he looked around and found the blue rock. He saw a blue button on the rock. Bob pressed the button and the ground started to shake. He fell down a big hole. He thought it would be the end of his life, but then he woke up from his dream!
But the terror never really ends…
THE BLOOD MOON MONSTER APPEARS

On a windy day of spring, John was walking down Jane and Finch Avenue. He was going to the Golden Fresh Market to buy three packs of Ruffles and some food. He made it to the market before it would close. He got the stuff very quickly and went to the cashier to pay.
While he was inside the market, day turned into night in four minutes. When he got out, he looked up, and the moon appeared to be much bigger than before. The moon was very dark and it was blood red. When he saw the moon he was suddenly paralyzed. His torso started to grow bigger, then it was his arms, his legs, and finally his head.
Something came out of his back—he now had four tentacles. He took a look at his body. He was red and taller than before. He had become a monster! The Blood Moon Monster possessed him.
The monster told him to hunt people, and he did. John flew down the avenue, and he was looking for people. He found a boy, who
was exiting the Golden Fresh Market. John came behind the boy, and bit his neck and drank his blood.
After drinking all of his blood, he was still thirsty for more. The boy was left on the floor, very weak but still alive.
John left to hunt for more people. He decided to head back inside the market. Nobody saw him biting the boy outside.
Now, inside the market, the mall was pretty full with around twenty people inside. He saw a girl and sneaked behind the girl and bit her neck. Everyone saw it. Everyone freaked out and ran to the exit. The monster ran and guarded the exit door. No one could escape.
Everyone ran and hid in the different sections of the market. An old lady hid in the rice bag, a small boy jumped inside the watermelons, and a girl hid in the storage room. He went after the girl. He turned the knob and opened the door. He saw the girl and bit her neck. Then he went after more people. He smelled a human scent coming from the rice bags. It was the old lady!
He saw her hand sticking out of the rice bag. The monster gently said, “If you help me find someone else I can bite, I will let you go.”
The old lady replied, “Are you sure?”
The monster said, “Yes, trust me. I won’t bite you.”
The lady believed the monster, and she came out of the rice bag. She helped the monster look for people. She took him to the storage room where three more people were hiding. The monster bit the three people and let the lady live.
The sun was finally rising. Then John started to turn back into a human. The monster was slowly fading away. Now John was back to his human form. John felt sick—he wanted to vomit!
He rushed home with his groceries, and he threw up in his washroom! He remembered he was a monster but had no idea of what the monster was doing to the other people.
John was watching the news at home, and the news reporter was talking about the monster that had hurt and bit people the night before. The news reporter shared a wanted sign for the monster. They were offering a million dollars for whoever found the monster alive.
But John was not afraid of being taken. He lived a regular life, he was never possessed by the Red Blood Moon Monster again. He forever hid his secret from everyone.
BRITISH AIR CARGO 1502 CRASH

The plane was a British Air Cargo 1502 Boeing 757. It took off at Driftwood Public School at Jane and Finch at midnight. First the two hydraulics failed, which helped the plane turn. The plane engine stopped running near Steeles Avenue when a fire started. It was caused by a bird feather that ignited the fuel into a fire. The wing was torn off because of the pressure of the fire. Pioneer Village was the closest to the plane as it was dropping at 2,436 feet per minute. The plane started to glide, and they were one mile away from York University.
The plane was stalling at Pioneer Village. The plane crashed, and all the pilots had minor injuries. The crash created a big crack in the parking lot of York University. The debris was mixed in with the cars’ debris.
The NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) investigation started. They started to look for the black boxes, which was hard because the plane debris was mixed with the car debris. One of them contained information about how the plane was flying, and the other recorded what the pilot said to air traffic control or the vibration or sound.
It took two weeks to find the black boxes. In the two weeks, they interrogated air traffic control. Next they looked at the weather report, which showed nothing that could bring down the plane. When they checked the second black box that contained the flight, they found out why the plane was stalling. The throttle, which controls the engines, was at idle, and that means it was at basic power. The wing fell off because most of the bolts that held the wing were rusted; also the high pressure made the bolts freeze, which broke the bolts in two. The fire started because feathers are easily flammable. The two hydraulics failed because someone had cut the two hydraulics.
The guy who cut the two hydraulics was Bob. He pretended to be a maintenance guy and cut the two hydraulics. He did it because he was taking revenge for his parents, who died in another plane crash. So the NTSB charged the man $77 billion. The NTSB said the plane crashed because of human failure and maintenance error.
The people that were at York University were in a dome, so they didn’t find out about the crash until later. When they found out, they were sad. They protested that Bob had to pay more than $77 billion for his evil plan.
Will Bob pay the price? To be continued…
