March 2022- Con-
At Stone Illawarra it’s all about you. Whether you are buying, selling or investing, take the journey with us to experience the difference.
Traditionally it has been said that Spring is the best time to sell because of
the warmer days and buyers being more active. In the past two years we can see a change showing us that the traditional ways of real estate are evolving. Autumn has slowly become a popular time to sell with the market holding so strong. Start your journey with Stone this Autumn.
Remarkably private and occupying 2.36 acres of stunning countryside, this grand resort-style residence exemplifies rural living, whilst being only 15 minutes from the Wollongong CBD. No expense has been spared in the presentation, with luxury design elements inside and out flowing to create a home of extravagant proportion. Listed by agents Sarah Ward and Benjamin Sayers this gorgeous property is set for auction Thursday 14th April with anticipation of a successful result.
The rental market is still proving to hold well with our Property Management department having another great month. Recently catching up with Darnell and Emma they mentioned that the high end of the rental market is performing incredibly well. They are seeing that large homes with a higher price point is not only attracting out of area tenants but also local tenants which is proving the market is staying strong. What is also great to see is that open homes are busy with an average of 20 plus attendees each week
and homes are being shown once before leased.
Immersed in the tranquillity of its picturesque surrounds, this bespoke home is sprawled over an expansive block of land where district, escarpment and distant ocean views are captured. Listed by agents Darnell Haselau and Jessika Welsh, the home was leased within four days of hitting the market for $1,125 per week achieving well above the asking price of $1,050 per week. Darnell had appraised the home 6 months ago with feedback of achieving $850—$900 per week. When the property hit the market the owners were extremely impressed with their expectations being exceeded and have loved working with Darnell. Congratulations Darnell and Jessika.
Welcome to Stone We welcome some new members to the Stone family this month. A huge welcome to Jamie Pereira and welcome back Whitney Economos. Jamie joins Sarah Ward’s team as sales associate and Whitney returns to our property management department as Property Manager.
Community Involvement Giving back to the community is one of the most rewarding things that you can do as an individual and business. We are proud to sponsor UOW’s Early Start Discover Day.
Easter Festivities Easter is on it’s way next month and we have some exciting things coming up with Stone. Our Easter giveaway will launch with 3 prizes to be won this year. Everyone loves an Easter egg hunt and we have one installed for the children of Stone that will be featured on our social media.
Autumn Style Change A season change calls for some décor changes in our homes. As the weather will start to cool down, internally we want to keep the warmth. Simple changes of how we dress the home with its décor is all that is needed to suit the season. Colour Change With a season change at times we feel the need to change the colours in our homes to bring some warmth to the home. Earthy tones like your browns and burnt oranges work well in Autumn and give an element of chic to the home.
Keep it warm A glass of red wine or a hot tea by the fireplace is a delightful way to spend your weekends. Not to worry if you don’t have a fireplace, pick a quiet place in the home and the same ambience can be created with ducted air conditioning or a gas/ electric heater.
All in the detail The small things that we don’t think of have the biggest impact. The rustic tones work so well in the bathroom during Autumn to create a feeling of warmth and brighten the space up quick smart.
Team member of the month Whitney is our star for the month of March. We welcome back Whitney with open arms. Whitney has been going above and beyond for the team and her clients and we are excited to have her back on board.

“Sarah was great to deal with when purchasing our new home. She kept us informed, responded to our queries in a timely manner. Sarah was easy to communicate with and very helpful. Many thanks. “
Buyer in Mount Kembla “Friendly- well knowledged on the local area and we trusted buying
through Paul.”
Buyer in Balgownie “Neil had great knowledge of market and we were a bit sceptical of his price guide, but he was spot on and more. Would definitely recommend Neil.”
Seller in Warilla “After meeting Angela at an open home, we had a great chat about what we were looking for in the follow-up call. She took the time to learn and when an off-market opportunity came up, she reached out and we made an offer within a week! She helped navigate a non-standard purchase and ensured both us and the vendor were on the same page.”
