In the July edition of The Coast we welcome new staff members, celebrate achievements and highlight some wonderful properties in the Illawarra. July is a special edition as we celebrate 5 years of Stone in the Illawarra and plenty more great stories to read.

Good news with Stone.

Welcome to Stone

We welcome two new members to Stone in July. Welcome Cassandra Boland and Kendra McLachlan. Both Cassandra and Kendra join our property management department.

Cassandra joins as property manager and Kendra joins as a trainee. We are excited to have both on board.

Christmas in July

Deck the halls it's Christmas in July at Stone. The team enjoyed a wonderful Sunday afternoon at The Robertson Hotel to celebrate not only some amazing achievements but also the wonderful culture we have. A huge thank you to The Robertson Hotel and their staff for the perfect Sunday afternoon.

Judge Neil Webster

Neil is highly known and respected in the Illawarra for his community involvement and generosity. Neil has again been involved as a judge for the REINSW Awards for Excellence.

This is the second year Neil has been asked to join the panel of judges after winning the REINSW Community Service Award previously. The glitz and glamour of the gala dinner will be held at The Star Casino in Sydney in September which we look forward to seeing Neil in his element.

Hello Illawarra Five years ago we made the change and re-branded to Stone, bringing the Stone brand to the beautiful Illawarra. It has been an incredible 5 years of change and growth seeing the brand successfully make an impact in the Illawarra.

With Change Comes Growth A new brand and a small team... to today a well known brand and team culture that is admired and respected. Over the years the office has moved locations, doubled its staff and rode the real estate market waves. The last couple of years have been our best seeing the office have their best every months in sales and watching agents reach their personal and professional goals. Apart from the real estate success we have been their for our staff members personal achievements from engagement announcements, weddings and baby news to all the good, bad and in between at Stone we are a family.

A true testament to our incredible directors, management team and all our staff, here is to the next 5 years.

Rental Market Update Recent data shows the rental market is on the rise and the driving factor is incredibly low stock. Days on market is low with stock being leased within days of hitting the market. Our property management department had a great month with 26 properties leased and arrears at an all time low.

Good News This month not only did we celebrate great results but also great staff achievements. Congratulations to Kaleah Crompton who won an award for catch of the month for her outstanding performance with ingoing's and lease signings.

Congratulations to Jessica Boyde who is team member of the month in property management. Jessica this month processed 595 applications and leased 26 properties, amazing work Jessica.

Lets talk smart storage We either have all the room in the world or we have the constant struggle of clutter leading to storage dilemma. Our editor shares a few tips on implementing smart storage options to your home to take the stress out of organised.

The struggle of finding things First things first you need to declutter.

Make a pile of keep and a pile of throw and get stuck into it. Most of the time we don't know how much we hold onto that we don't need. One way to look at it is does this item serve me any purpose if no it's time to re-home or recycle.

The storage illusion Have you ever walked into homes and thought wow where do they store everything. Here it is, smart shelves and well organised cardboards. Household items in order of every day use should be organised accordingly. For example every day use items should sit on eye level shelves.

Think smart The main issue is space, so why not employ dual purpose storage options and consider spatial functions. No walk-in pantry no problem. Kitchen staples can be stored in jars or containers to not only give you more space but also the advantage of keeping food fresher.
