In the border town of Pharr, Texas, in a humble 3,000-square-foot building 31 years ago, Lone Star National Bank (LSNB) opened its first banking center, with just ten employees and a goal of serving their community one handshake at a time. Because small business owners may not be able to leave their place of business during the day to make deposits or do their banking transactions, LSNB created Office Banker. Office Banker is a remote deposit capture system that uses a desktop check scanning device located at the customer’s business. With this device, customers can scan checks and send deposit information to the bank whenever it’s convenient, and without leaving their storefront or office.

In addition to this technology, the bank also offers its own Mobile Banking App for IPhones and Android devices, plus a new website with a higher level of online banking conveniences. Customers also enjoy Smart ATM’s that allow cash and check deposits, and are quickly discovering its latest product, the LSNB Card Manager. The LSNB Card Manager is a mobile app that gives bank customers the ability to control, monitor and prevent unauthorized activity on their debit or check cards. “This is huge,” says senior vice president LSNB is uniquely positioned in size and scope be- and director of marketing, Edna De Saro.
