WHAT IS MICROSOFT AUTOPILOT?

Microsoft Autopilot pre-provisioning is a collection of technologies that configures new devices before they’re deployed into universities.

Autopilot reduces the amount of time your team needs to spend on deployment and management, it can reduce infrastructure requirements, and it can improve security. It makes devices more consistent for end users and enables simpler device redeployment.

Autopilot includes cloud-based integration with Entra ID (previously known as Azure Active Directory) and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.

At Stone, A Converge Company, we make deployment more straightforward by handling Autopilot on your behalf. We pre-configure devices with your preferred Operating System, BIOS and software and deploy with zero-touch installs for immediate use.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Pre-configuration on Stone devices is straightforward with Microsoft Autopilot.

During the purchasing process we’ll consult you on the specifications, Operating System and software you need and create images to meet your requirements.

If you choose a pre-provisioned deployment, end users just need to log in to their new devices and their operating system and apps will be ready.

Customers can also use Autopilot User-Driven mode, but this is time-consuming and involves more hands-on device setup.

The Stonebook Pro and Lite, the StonePC Lite and Mini, and the Stone AIO ProEdge all qualify.

To allow us to register devices using Autopilot on your behalf, we need OEM authorisation.

But once that’s done, it couldn’t be simpler: tell us what OS, software and settings options you need, and we’ll ensure your new devices are ready on day one.
