In the 19th century, when cold weather in Florida resulted in a severe citrus shortage, Sydney and Joshua Chase of Sanford’s Chase & Company set out in search of remaining groves. What they found on a small island in Windermere were orange and lemon trees in full bloom- a bounty afforded by warming lakes surrounding the island - the sight of which prompted observers to call it the ‘Isle of Worth’.

CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF

Recognized as one of the world’s top golf courses, Isleworth’s 18-hole championship course was the creation of Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay and later redesigned by Steve Smyers. Isleworth is still consistently ranked one of the longest and toughest courses in the nation due to its generous, undulating and fast greens. Built on rolling terrain, the course was designed to provide a fair but uniquely challenging round, highlighted by the most picturesque of settings. Adjacent to the driving

range, the 2.5-acre short game practice area complements the club’s world-class golf facilities, allowing the opportunity to prepare for those demanding shots found on the course.

The Isleworth Youth Program (I.Y.P.) creates memorable experiences for families and kids of all ages— from innovative events, holiday celebrations and unique birthday parties to weekly family dining activities, junior sports clinics and enhanced tutoring programs. I.Y.P.’s dedicated entertainment and gaming area, The Bull Pen, is located within Isleworth’s clubhouse and provides a safe and fun environment complete with a library, craft table, comfortable lounging areas and state-of-the-art technology. Camp Isleworth, our signature, award-winning summer camp, was created exclusively for the children and grandchildren of Isleworth members and provides a summer of fun, learning and giving back.
