This paper, presented at the Sept. 26, 2020, annual meeting of the Michigan Academy of Science, Arts & Letters, concerns three leading cases taught in law school Contracts class, all with parties named "Lucy" (or its derivative "Lucille"). The paper reveals that despite their prominence, the cases involve backstories of duplicity, infamy, and rank incompetence. An abbreviated presentation, with slides, had been uploaded to YouTube here: https://youtu.be/khyLDX9t2hU
