computer glitch loss of sound on Sunday mass

Scenario: Restarted all computers on Saturday to prevent “updates” during Mass. The one computer had a 2-hour update. Mass on Sunday, everything is working. As Mass begins, VMix the video capture program announces an update to happen. I postponed the update until later on Sunday. Everything seem to be going normal but, I had a funny feeling something wasn’t right. I stepped out into the Narthex to check into our Facebook E to see if it was working. I did this because I noticed nobody was viewing it on Facebook. I then found out there was no sound unless it was just my phone. I immediately turned on the “Camera Record Button”. I normally don’t use this because the download is very lengthy. Lesson learned the “Camera Record Button” will be the backup for now on.

I Apologize! Unfortunately, technology tends to kick us in the behind every now and then. You know the resolution is how we handle the situation that is before us. It’s here, not going anywhere, how do we cope.

Realization of our life in the present is how we adapt. I’m hoping that years from now we all just sit back and laugh at our mistakes. But right now technology will continue to keep us on our toes. Just don’t be afraid of it, challenge it.

Saint Teresa’s is your church home – or you’re thinking about joining this ‘different kind’ of Catholic church -- a CACINA church. What’s that? Maybe the whole idea of ‘church’ has taken on a deeper meaning for you, but you’ve never worshipped in any kind of Catholic church before? Or maybe you’re church experiences have included the Roman Catholic Church, possibly as a “cradle” Catholic?

And now, you’re attending or inquiring into this non-Roman, ‘independent’ church, or viewing their Masses from home. Your friends and family and other acquaintances are asking you what you mean when you tell them about this CACINA Catholic Church? What do we tell them? Would you like to know more?

St. Teresa’s is offering a series of six (6), 30-minute sessions to learn about what it means to be a CACINA Catholic, beginning Sunday July 26th through Sunday, August 30th.

We’ll walk through what it means to be a CACINA Catholic and the history of our ever-growing “independent” Catholic movement. All sessions will be held in the Chapel after Sunday Mass, from 12:15–12:45 PM. Social distancing will be observed.

Can’t attend all six sessions in-person? Sessions will be livestream-recorded, and you’ll be able to watch from home, or you can view them at a later time.

Classes start Sunday, July 26th and every Sunday until the last class on Sunday, August 30th.

HOUSE OF MINISTRY Assistant moderator position available Position available immediately and replaces Moderator when his term is up.

Between the Moderator and Assistant Moderator, the Assistant Moderator has the vote that counts. Moderator does not vote. Assistant Moderator does replace the Moderator at the end of his term. So, the term length could be 3-4 years (one to two as Assistant and two as Moderator).

Parish Bylaws Article 1 F. Duties of Assistant Moderator: The duties of the Assistant Moderator include: 1. Ensure that minutes are taken at each HOM meeting.

2. Assuming Moderator responsibilities in the absence of the Moderator.

3. Coordinating an orientation meeting for new HOM members at the end of the year.

4. Planning and coordinating the Parish HOM annual retreat held in the new year when the Assistant Moderator has become Moderator.

5. Completing other tasks as delegated by the Moderator.

APPLICANTS FOR ASSISTANT MODERATOR • • • • • •

Active member of the Community.

Applicant submits their name to the Moderator.

Moderator presents all Applicants name to the Pastor for approval.

Moderator will submit all Applicants name to the Community Voting date will be specified and 2/3 approval must be attained.

Community then votes on which Applicant will be the Assistant Moderator.

LIVE STREAMING: Starting Sunday, April 19, 2020 Saint Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Community will be Live Streaming all of their Mass’s. The Live Stream will be available at 10:30 am on Sunday.

MATS FOR THE HOMELESS VIDEO ON THE LEARNING ZONE

Please keep donating your plastic bags!

We constantly see commercials on Serta Mattress with a price range of $800 to over $2,000. Donating Plastic Bags and helping in the to Workshop for the Homeless is the least we can do. Since we can’t give all the Homeless a Serta Mattress, is it too much to give them an American Made product of a Plastic Mat.
