The Daily Prayer of Saint Teresa Dear Jesus, help me to spread your fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with your spirit and love. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of You. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Your presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me but only Jesus. Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as you shine, so to shine as to be a light to others. Amen.

He wanted to create a place that was fun, non political, non sexual...just fun. I am sure there are folks in this group who have differing views on many issues; however, Mark created a place were we can call share a laugh, without any arguments or discourse. Just have fun and laugh. I Truly hope that thus page will continue along the same lines as a everlasting memorial to Mark
Dear Father Ray, Please know that I am very grateful that you are holding the Memorial service for my friend Mark Talboom. I am blessed to have had a number of important guides who showed up for me over the years. Mark was one of those people for me. When I was a teacher in Rock Springs, Mark was a local chiropractor and he was among my community of friends. I was elected by my colleagues to serve as the President of the Sweetwater Education Association, a union representing about 400 teachers in Rock Springs. During that time, we were having difficulty with the Superintendent as well as some Board members and the labor-management relationship between the Association and the Board was strained. Mark decided to run for School Board during that time, and we endorsed him. He remained true to his word, and he was a strong advocate for teachers and public education, at times the lone voice to advocate for us. It would have been easier for Mark to join the crowd, but he always maintained a high level of integrity with his principles. During that time, I built a close personal friendship with Mark as did my children, who were quite young at the time. Recently, when I told my now 30-something children that Mark had passed they both remembered his laugh, his moustache, and that he was kind and interested in them. Mark eventually moved to Salt Lake City Utah, but he remained a very strong mentor. When I went to therapy and came out as a gay man, Mark was a mentor, suggested books for me to read to deal with coming out, and he was always available to talk even though we no longer lived close to each other. Some people don't know that Mark had cancer on and off during his life. He met each challenge associated with his health with a dry and selfdeprecating sense of humor. In our last communication, he showed me photos of the devastation that radiation treatments had done to his body, but he still demonstrated a sense of humor. It's fitting that Mark created a humor page on Facebook. He insisted that the humor page not focus on the politics that divide us, but to find ways that we can laugh at ourselves, particularly when it's difficult to do so. Mark was a kind, generous man. I loved him very much, and I am very honored to have been his friend. I know that we will carry his light forward, and I will always cherish the connection and the lessons that I learned from him. Love, Jim Fotter Portland, OR
Wisdom From Our Pastor Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, this Sunday as we listened to the words of the Scripture, we are all reminded of our faith in the Lord, and of the obligations that each and every one of us have as Christians, and that is to hold firmly to the Law and commandments that the Lord has given to us all, revealed to us through Christ, His Son, Our Lord and Saviour, and passed down to us through the Church, through His Apostles and disciples, and their successors. In our first reading today, we heard of the story from the Book of Joshua, in which Joshua, the leader of all the Israelites, as the one who led the Israelites into the promised land, gathered all the whole assembly of the Israelites and reminded them to remain faithful to God and not to be easily swayed by the other gods and idols, and thus, he told them to make a stand right there and then, who they would follow and serve, whether the Lord or whether they preferred to follow the pagan gods and false idols instead. It is then we come to hear the account from the Gospel passage today, in which we heard the aftermath of the Lord’s miraculous feeding of the multitudes of thousands of people, and His discourse on the Bread of Life. At that occasion, the Lord told the people frankly and without hiding the truth, that He would gave them all His Body and His Blood for them all to partake, as real food and drink that they may eat and drink from. And this made the people to wonder and question Him and His truth, as they found it difficult to accept this truth, that the Lord as the Bread of Life is giving them His own Precious Body and Blood. Many of the Lord’s disciples and the people who followed Him left Him at that time, and those who were left behind were few, including the Twelve who remained faithful, and who still trusted the Lord and His truth. Yet even they found the truth difficult to understand and endure, as represented by St. Peter, they told Him that such a harsh truth would be difficult for anyone to bear and stomach, and even they found it difficult to believe themselves, as some of them undoubtedly were still hesitating and still had doubts in them. Each and every one of us should embrace the Lord’s call for us to be more active in our faith life, and we should discern carefully what each and every one of us can do in order to be part of the Church’s efforts and good works in reaching out to more and more of our fellow brothers and sisters, especially those who have not yet known the Lord, and those who may have had a wrong idea or impression Him and our Christian faith. It is up to us to be genuine witnesses of our faith and be inspiration to one another as Christians. Father Victor Ray

Jealous of the angels PRELUDE
Song by Donna Taggart I didn't know today would be our last Or that I'd have to say goodbye to you so fast I'm so numb, I can't feel anymore Prayin' you'd just walk back through that door And tell me that I was only dreamin' You're not really gone as long as I believe There will be another angel Around the throne tonight Your love lives on inside of me And I will hold on tight It's not my place to question Only God knows why I'm just jealous of the angels Around the throne tonight You always made my troubles feel so small And you were always there to catch me when I'd fall In a world where heroes come and go Well God just took the only one I know So I'll hold you as close as I can Longing for the day, when I see your face again But until then God must need another angel Around the throne tonight Your love lives on inside of me And I will hold on tight It's not my place to question Only God knows why I'm just jealous of the angels Around the throne tonight Singin' hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah I'm just jealous of the angels Around the throne tonight

Oooooh (continues) Somewhere, over the rainbow, Way up high And the, dreams that you dreamed of, Once in a lullaby
Somewhere, over the rainbow, Bluebirds fly And the, dreams that you dreamed of, Dreams really do come true Someday I'll wish upon a star, Wake up where the clouds are far Behind, Me, Where trouble melts like lemon drops High above the chimney top, That's where you'll find me Somewhere, over the rainbow, Bluebirds fly And the dream, that you dare to, Oh why, oh why can't I? I? Well I see trees of green, and red roses too, I'll watch them bloom for, me and you And I, think to myself, What a wonderful world Well I see skies of blue, And I see clouds of white And the brightness of day, I like the dark And I think, to myself, What a wonderful world The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky Are also on the faces, of people passing by I see friends shaking hands, Singing, "How do you do?" They really sing, "I...I love you" I hear babies cry, and I, watch them grow They'll learn much more, than we'll know And I, think to myself, What a wonderful world, world Someday I'll wish upon a star, Wake up where the clouds are far Behind, Me, Where trouble melts like lemon drops High above the chimney top, That's where, you'll find me Oh, somewhere over the rainbow, Way up high And, the dream, that you dare to, Why, oh why can't I? I? Ooooh (continues)

BRIDGE: Amen, I say, unless you eat, the Son of Man and his blood drink, you will now have my life with him. Nor will you be raised up again. Amen, I say, unless you eat, the Son of Man and his blood drink, I can not raise you up again.
