When Timing Is Essential

While all travel insurance policies have different fine print (we’re here to help with that!), one of the most important distinctions is whether you’re dealing with an unforeseen event or a foreseen situation. For example, if a hurricane has already been officially named by the National Hurricane Center, it may be too late to obtain coverage for your trip. That’s why it’s essential to confirm your coverage as soon as possible if you’re traveling to a storm-prone area during hurricane season. An example of a foreseen situation is having a pre-existing medical condition; in that case, coverage is possible but there may be a window in which you have to purchase it, and there could be a look-back period to confirm there were no recent changes to your condition. Reach out to us to learn more.

GET READY FOR THE BEAUTIFUL GAME

All eyes are on the FIFA World Cup 26,™ the world's premier international football competition. Matches are scheduled in 16 cities across Canada, Mexico and the United States — with the finals on July 19, 2026. We can arrange hospitality packages whether you’re set on a venue or want to catch multiple matches throughout the event. Reach out to get started!

IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE HAPPY

The festivities have begun for Disneyland’s 70th anniversary! Travel back in time on a 70th anniversary guided tour of the park; savor tasty new creations (don’t worry, Dole Whip isn’t going anywhere); and look for fun features like the return of the Paint the Night parade and a visual homage in the Tapestry of Happiness projection show.

MAKE A SPLASH ON THESE NEW CRUISE SHIPS

The newest ship in Celebrity Cruises’ Edge® series is poised for adventure. Join Celebrity Xcel on a voyage to the Caribbean this winter, featuring special details like the globally inspired Bazaar, a three-story, multisensory space, and new dining destinations like Bora, which brings the Mediterranean to you.

After debuting Norwegian Aqua, the first in the new Prima Plus Class, Norwegian Cruise Line is ready to launch Norwegian Luna in April 2026. Sail from Miami to the Caribbean on a roomier ship that features expanded outdoor spaces like Ocean Boulevard and new thrills like the Aqua Slidecoaster.

Arriving in summer 2026, Legend of the Seas will be the third in Royal Caribbean’s groundbreaking Icon series. Cruise the Mediterranean or spend a winter vacation in the Caribbean while making memories at the largest water park at sea and braving the brand-new Crown’s Edge℠ aerial walkway on the edge of the ship.

A new star is born from Windstar Cruises. Star Seeker is the first of two newly built, all-suite Star Class ships coming in December — followed by Star Explorer the next year. Look forward to expansive and modern spaces with signature favorites such as a Watersports Platform, a cozy Yacht Club café and lounge, and a two-story spa and fitness facility.

ASK OUR EXPERTS

our experts share their insights into getting the most out of your travels.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A PRE- OR POST-CRUISE STAY?

Beginning your cruise in one port and disembarking in another is a wonderful way to craft a getaway that brings together the best of land and sea.

We always recommend arriving in your cruise port at least a day before departure. So when it comes to flying overseas, why not make it several days? We can arrange your stay in a handpicked hotel and provide a host of privileges, such as daily breakfast for two (a great value and time-saver!) as well as resort or dining credits. When available, we can also arrange early check-in — so you can drop your bags and hit the ground running — and late check-out so you never feel rushed.

Thanks to our local connections, you’ll have access to experiences that go beyond the guidebook. If you're embarking in Rome, imagine a private tour of the Colosseum and the Vatican, skipping the long lines with your own expert guide. Or roll up your sleeves for a pasta-making class in a Roman home — fresh tagliatelle never tasted better. If you’re up for a day trip, we can arrange a chauffeured visit to the ruins of Pompeii, where ancient streets and haunting frescoes bring history to life.

On embarkation day, you’ll be sure to arrive with time to spare. Available in select ports, we can provide complimentary transportation between

select hotels and your cruise ship. Look forward to the perks we can provide on your cruise, such as valuable shipboard credit as well as a private car and guide in select ports.

When your cruise ends in a city like Barcelona, your adventure continues. We’ll whisk you from the port to a luxurious hotel, where you can unwind or dive right into the city’s vibrant culture. Whether you want a guided tapas tour through the Gothic Quarter, tickets to Gaudí’s Sagrada Família or a day trip to the beaches of Costa Brava, we’ll handle all the details. Let us pull it all together — hotels, transfers, tours, and those extra touches that turn a trip into an unforgettable journey.

ONE MORE DAY

IN AND AROUND BARCELONA, BEFORE OR AFTER YOUR MEDITERRANEAN CRUISE.

Take a ride up TIBIDABO to catch sweeping views from the Collserola Tower, and go further to the upper level of Tibidabo Amusement Park for some of the highest viewpoints.

SEE THE CITY through the eyes of visionaries. A guided tour of Gaudí’s Barcelona reveals insights into the architect’s most famous creations, while a Dalí tour shows off the artist’s favorite haunts.

& Q

AWe talk with our global network to bring you the latest developments, tips and insights.

Sylvia Longmire, creator of the travel blog

“Spin the Globe” and author of “What Happened to You?: A Solo Wheelchair Travel Memoir,” shares her personal tips for planning accessible vacations.

What inspired your love of travel?

I owe it all to my parents! They got me started very, very early. Then, when I was on active duty in the Air Force, I began traveling solo. I've been to 57 countries — 48 as a wheelchair user and 35 have been solo.

Can you describe the planning that goes into your travels?

Because I have multiple sclerosis, I’m sensitive to heat and rarely travel in the summer. I love to travel in fall when the weather is amazing and things can be more affordable. Since my wheelchair doesn't do ice or snow, I enjoy cruising in the winter; I often look for discounts around wave season at the beginning of the year. And since I travel solo, I look for specific cruise deals that waive the single-supplement fee.

What advice do you have for wheelchair users who aren’t avid travelers?

I think cruising is absolutely the best way for wheelchair users to start dipping their toes into accessible travel. Accessibility is phenomenal, and you get to visit several ports of call instead of flying and checking in and out of hotels. I always tell first-time cruisers to use a travel advisor because more and more of them have training on how to work with people with disabilities. I also recommend booking hotels because privately owned homes aren’t required to be ADA-compliant.

Are there certain destinations that are ahead of others in terms of accessibility?

Vienna is absolutely my favorite, and Barcelona is well known for its incredible accessibility. I love art museums, and there are also street performers and lots of outdoor seating. Public transportation is clean and efficient. But I’ve had great experiences in cities around the world — Berlin, Toronto, Washington, D.C., and in smaller cities like Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Des Moines, Iowa. Even in places that are more challenging, a good accessible tour company can really help you get around easily.

PEOPLE TO PEOPLE

Culture comes first with Collette’s expert tours — created by locals.

True travelers innately understand what makes a journey meaningful. Collette’s handdesigned tours are driven by destination experts who are firmly rooted in their regions, and as a family-owned company that has operated for more than 100 years, every traveler is treated like a personal guest.

Grand moments of discovery are balanced with more understated encounters. On your way to Peru’s ancient citadel of Machu

Picchu, you’ll be introduced to a local Quechua family who warmly invites you for a farm-to-table lunch. On the waters of Lake Titicaca, meet the Indigenous Uros people who inhabit floating islands.

Learn local history through the lens of those who have lived it. On a journey in Asia, you’ll meet the ama pearl divers, the “women of the sea” who have been practicing this tradition for over 2,000 years.

You’ll also hear accounts of the atomic bombing in Hiroshima and spend time with a North Korean defector near the Demilitarized Zone.

Dive deeper and engage with local life on a Small Group Exploration tour. From the hills of Tuscany to the markets of Buenos Aires, discover regional flavors and iconic dishes — and even put on an apron under the eye of seasoned chefs. Thanks to

guidance from destination experts, you’ll be well-equipped to get around on local transportation — like Japan’s lightning-fast bullet trains and the Paris Metro.

A LITTLE SPACE Goes a Long Way

The Landings Resort & Spa, St. Lucia
Pack for a Purpose brings essential supplies directly to people in need — no heavy lifting required.

8,400 suitcases.

21 tons of supplies.

60 participating countries. (That’s the weight of three adult African elephants!)

In a single year, travelers like you have transformed lives thanks to the efforts of Pack for a Purpose by Travel Elevates.

Pack for a Purpose was founded in 2010 by a schoolteacher, inspired by a whisper of an idea when she traveled to Kenya. By coordinating with her tour operator, she figured out what was most needed at a local clinic and school — and on her next trip to Kenya she hauled 140 pounds of supplies that were gratefully received.

Since then, Pack for a Purpose has grown into a model of positive impact, inspiring travelers to give back to local communities and create unbreakable connections in their destinations. What might seem like everyday items — soccer balls, jump ropes, art supplies, clothing, and bath towels — are actually life essentials that can make an enormous difference in someone’s day-to-day experience.

To make this happen, all you have to do is select a partner hotel or tour operator in your destination, then review their local project and what items are needed. Pack at least 5 pounds of supplies in your suitcase and drop them off in the hotel or with the tour operator. It’s as simple as that.

Small Space, Big Impact

While it may be tempting to see the fruits of your labor by doing a direct drop-off, this setup is intentional to create the maximum impact. Not only is it easy for you, but local schools, orphanages and clinics can protect their privacy, supplies are delivered at convenient times, and

partners are able to report back on the total weight of items received each year.

Stick to the lists provided, and you can trust that everything you bring will go to good use. You can find dozens of local charities in partnership with

hotels and tour operators, such as the featured properties on these pages.

Other local partners include village schools in India, mobile medical services in Cambodia, a children’s home in Costa Rica, and many others around the globe.

In Kenya, Karen Blixen Camp partners with Mara United School for students ages 4 through 15. Requested items include book bags, pencils and pens, flash drives, educational games, select musical instruments, gently used clothing and shoes, and menstrual supplies.

5 Steps, 5 Pounds

1. Visit packforapurpose.org and select your destination.

2. Select a property or tour company and the project it supports.

3. Choose the supplies you wish to take from the specific items requested. Five pounds is the recommended minimum amount.

4. Drop off the supplies at the accommodations or tour company.

5. The supplies will be delivered to the project.

YOUR ENTRY TO LOCAL LIVING

By sailing into the heart of every port, Viking® allows you to explore and engage with your destination.

On the grandest European voyage of them all, Viking® streamlines your journey so you can go directly into the core of every destination. Over the course of 15 days, the Grand European Tour crosses through four countries — the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, and Hungary — with 12 included guided tours along with exclusive excursions. Unpack only once, enjoy your elegant shipboard surroundings, and meet every moment with unmatched experts guiding the way.

Scenic days are spent meandering along rivers, passing gently sloping hillsides dotted with colorful homes and gazing up at historic fortresses and castles that emerge through the treetops. Anticipation builds as you pull into every port, each city and village harboring local gems just waiting for you to get out and explore.

The windmills are easy to reach in Kinderdijk, gracefully spinning in the picturesque Dutch countryside. At this UNESCO World Heritage Site made up of 19 windmills, you’ll learn the mechanics and peer into the living quarters that date back to the mid-18th century.

Another UNESCO World Heritage Site awaits in Cologne — the impressive Gothic cathedral where excavations and restorations are always ongoing. On a Privileged Access® tour, an excursion to the rooftop takes you to hidden areas that few people ever get to see. An after-dark excursion takes you into the lively heart of Old Town’s cobblestone streets where Kölsch brewhouses invite you to drink in the local culture. Learn the secrets of brewing classic Kölsch

beer, and dine on a hearty German feast before returning to your ship.

Baroque architecture adorns the city of Würzburg, including the masterpiece known as the Würzburg Residence — marvelously restored after being bombed in World War II. On a complimentary excursion, admire the frescoed ceiling and tour ornate rooms and English-style gardens studded with statues. Should your sense of adventure call you outdoors, select a hiking tour of the Würzburg hills — crossing through vineyards to reach Marienberg Fortress, first constructed in the 8th century as a Celtic refuge.

Entice your taste buds with the flavors of the region, both on board and on shore. Discover crisp Austrian grüner veltliner with your meals or in a guided tasting, and step into the heart of the Wachau Valley where those grapes are grown. Dive into buttery Viennese pastries paired with an Einspänner coffee loaded with whipped cream, and visit a Hungarian confectioner to sample your way through chocolate and marzipan.

GROUNDED IN PLACE

Diane Selkirk captures the natural warmth of Canada, born from the land and its people.

Jasper, Alberta

“Learning the names of plants is one thing. But understanding their uses — that changes your relationship with them.”

SEEING THE FOREST WITH NEW EYES

Standing in the dappled shade of a cluster of aspen trees, I breathed in the earthy, grassy scent of fall as Brenda Holder, owner of Mahikan Trails, led us across her Alberta property on a medicine walk.

“When you look around, you might think you’re just seeing a forest,” she said, gesturing to the trees and swaying meadow grasses. “But I see a grocery store, a clothing store and, most importantly, a pharmacy.”

To prove her point, the Cree Knowledge Keeper guided us through the tall grass and stopped at a broadleaf plantain — a leafy plant I’d always dismissed as a weed. “Plantain is kind of a miracle,” she said. “It’s anti-inflammatory, great for treating bites and stings, and soothing for the lungs.”

Holder learned about plant medicine from her grandmother, a Medicine Woman, beginning when she was just a child. Some of that knowledge remains sacred and is kept within her community, but in recent years Holder noticed people yearning for a deeper connection to the land. She now offers workshops, courses and walks like this one.

“Learning the names of

plants is one thing,” she said. “But understanding their uses — that changes your relationship with them.”

By the time we completed our loop along the trail — stopping at the cottonwoods with their newly yellowing leaves, rosebushes heavy with rosehips and the silvery trunks of trembling aspen where Holder showed us how to use the white powder from its sunny side as sunscreen — I’d started to get it. In just a few hours, I’d learned the names and uses of plants I’d never paid attention to before. The forest no longer felt like just a peaceful place for a walk. It had come alive with purpose and healing.

Experiential learning with a local guide can deepen a visitor’s experience. But it’s not only about discovering something new; it’s more meaningful than that. Whether you’re hearing stories under the flickering glow of the northern lights or learning traditions passed down through generations, genuine moments like these can lead to personal growth, a richer understanding of a place and a lasting sense of connection. And in Canada, where warm and authentic people are part of the landscape, it’s one of the most powerful ways to experience the vast and varied country.

NATURE, GUIDED BY STORYTELLERS

With long, dark nights and large stretches of accessible land beneath the auroral oval — a ring-shaped zone around the magnetic pole where aurora activity is most intense — Canada is one of the world’s best places to witness the northern lights. Fall and winter offer ideal viewing conditions — and if you’re guided by an Indigenous host like Dene storyteller

Joe Bailey, founder of North Star Adventures in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, your chances of catching a spectacular display get even better.

Bailey grew up on the traplines in the Northwest Territories and never imagined he’d one day become a professional aurora hunter. But in a region renowned for its brilliant and

frequent displays, the path found him. “Some of my first memories are of the northern lights,” he said. “In the Denesuline language, we call them ya’ke ngas, ‘the sky is stirring.’ My grandmother taught us that when the lights are dancing fast, it’s loved ones on the other side reaching out, saying they’re OK and reminding you to live a good life.”

On his tours, Bailey shares stories of his people, their history and their deep connection to the land. He also showcases his uncanny ability to find the northern lights, even on cloudy nights. “I watch the sky all day and instinctively know,” he explained. “My grandfather taught me. He said, ‘Watch the clouds, watch the birds — you can tell when the solar wind is coming.’”

Viewing the aurora through an Indigenous lens offers more than just a bucket-list experience. At Indigenous-owned Aurora Village near Yellowknife, the Morin family welcomes guests into a reimagined traditional village, sharing cultural knowledge in a hilltop setting where 21 white teepees circle a pristine lake. Custom-built, heated viewing seats that swivel 360 degrees make the experience both cozy and immersive. Further south, Métis Crossing in Alberta invites you to take in the night sky from a Métis perspective — topped off with a stay in one of the resort’s striking Sky Watching Domes.

With this kind of cultural and spiritual insight, seeing those ribbons of green, pink or red is more than a beautiful spectacle— it’s an unforgettable experience.

Settle in to hear about the Three Sisters — corn, beans and squash — whose interwoven growth and harvest reflect the values of community, reciprocity and respect.

FALL HARVEST IN QUÉBEC

In fall, the Eastern Townships’ Route des Vins is more than a scenic drive; it’s an invitation into the rhythms of the season and the heart of Québec rural traditions. Meander along vineyard-lined country roads that weave through maple forests and past family-run farms. Stop to meet winemakers, cheesemakers and farmers eager to share the stories behind their crafts and a taste of their latest harvest.

Journey to Domaine Vallier Robert, where the road leads through golden-leaved maples to a cellar tucked in the woods. Here, maple sap is transformed into delicate white wine — a terroir innovation that began with Vallier Robert’s bold decision to ferment the sap that’s usually boiled into syrup. This is where forest, flavor and creativity meet.

In Sutton, a harvest meal served fireside brings together the best of the season. While in Frelighsburg, you can sip cider

beneath apple trees still heavy with fruit or head into Dunham and pair a bold red with creamy local cheese on a sun-dappled terrace. Every stop is a celebration of connection between land, maker and guest.

Heading across the St. Lawrence River takes you to a place where storytelling and tradition take center stage. In the whimsical village of Saint-Élie-de-Caxton, follow in the footsteps of celebrated storyteller Fred Pellerin, whose tales of elves, fairies and peppermint trees blur the line between reality and folklore. Wander the same streets that inspired his stories, where imagination colors every corner.

Further up the river, experience another rich form of storytelling. In Wendake, the Huron-Wendat Nation welcomes visitors into the warmth of the Ekionkiestha’ National Longhouse, where firelight flickers as storytellers share ancestral

myths and legends. Settle in to hear about the Three Sisters — corn, beans and squash — whose interwoven growth and harvest reflect the values of community, reciprocity and respect. These aren’t just stories from the past; they are teachings still lived today.

WELLNESS WITH A CANADIAN WELCOME

In Canada, wellness often goes beyond fitness or relaxation — it’s about reconnecting with the land, the seasons and the people you meet along the way.

On a medicinal plant walk with Matricia Bauer, owner of Warrior Women, you’ll explore the healing properties of plants while moving through the stunning landscapes around Jasper, Alberta. Afterward, craft your own salve or lotion from the plants you’ve gathered — a thoughtful, hands-on souvenir to bring home.

Another rejuvenating path takes you to the historic mineral waters of the Banff or Miette hot springs. Used by Indigenous Peoples since time immemorial, these healing waters were shared with early visitors in the 1800s. Surrounded by the jagged peaks of the Canadian Rockies, you can fully embrace the feeling of that first welcome — perhaps even by renting a vintage-style bathing suit.

In Whistler, British Columbia, slow down and immerse yourself in the healing power of the mountains and forest with shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing. Unlike a strenuous hike, this practice encourages you to engage with nature through all your senses. Afterward, continue your wellness journey at Scandinave Spa Whistler, where a cycle of hot, cold and rest awaits in an old-growth rainforest setting at the base of the rugged Coast Mountains.

In Canada, the landscapes are vast, but it’s the people and their stories

that make the experience magical. Whether you’re walking through a boreal forest with a Knowledge Keeper or sipping wine under a golden canopy of trees, the most meaningful moments are those that bring you closer to the land, to tradition and to yourself.

Through the Adriatic and Aegean seas, a voyage with Explora Journeys will inspire you with stories of ancient lands.

At the intersection of global exploration and sophisticated sailings, Explora Journeys brings you into an Ocean State of Mind. As you sail across legendary waters, curated shore excursions with extended time in port capture the spirits of long-ago leaders and mythological creatures whose stories have shaped these destinations.

On the craggy north Dalmatian coast, Zadar is a marvel for its ancient Roman ruins that seem to burst forth from the streets — like the impressive Forum built by Roman emperor Gaius Julius Caesar Octavian as a gathering place for soldiers, religious figures and traders.

The fortifications of Dubrovnik are a true engineering feat carried out over the course of many centuries. Hear the echoes of medieval stonemasons who carefully constructed these stout walls to protect their city from attack.

Jules Verne immortalized Rovinj in his books, and today the Istrian town is still beloved for its enduring Venetian traditions. Classic costumes are influenced by Venetian styles, and the IstroVeneto dialect is a multicultural blend.

On a journey to Volos, learn about this peninsula’s starring role in Greek mythology as the home of Jason and the argonauts. Your next stop on this Aegean adventure is Pelion, believed to be where the mighty centaurs lived.

Anywhere you choose to sail with Explora Journeys, the local history and culture vividly come to life with the help of insightful guides and onboard enrichment. By redefining luxury ocean travel, Explora Journeys sets the tone for an Ocean State of Mind — where intimate, curated itineraries meet refined hospitality, nine culinary experiences and unlimited fine beverages. Those who love Australia have just one thing to say: Come and say g’day!

From tropical coastlines to the arid Outback and cities that shine, find inspiration from travelers who love Australia — then go ahead and forge your own path of discovery.

“ ”

Australia grabbed my heart the first time I traveled there. The locals love visitors and want to interact with you to make your trip as unique as their country. I love the wildlife that you can only find there, and one of my favorite places to view them in the wild is Kangaroo Island. Australia is home to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, which are some of the oldest continuing cultures in the world. If that’s not enough, the amazing food and wine experiences are off the charts.

– Sunnie R , Illinois

While Sydney, Melbourne and the Great Barrier Reef are amazing first-time must-do’s, don’t overlook the Outback and off-thebeaten-path experiences like diving the Great Barrier Reef at night. We even had bubbles and personalized notes in several locations waiting for us at check-in.

– Harrison S., Illinois

– Cindy S., Delaware “ ”

We had the opportunity to enjoy special wildlife encounters, and our travel advisor changed a small-group tour to a private one for us. We also enjoyed snorkeling excursions and we were able to experience BridgeClimb Sydney.

Every trip to Australia feels like several adventures in one — it’s that kind of place that lingers with you long after you’ve left. Your travel advisor can arrange experiences around your interests. If you’re a foodie, meet with winemakers, try local cheeses and learn how to harvest rock oysters. For outdoor experiences, ask about guided hikes to take in panoramic views, see wildlife and experience some of the most breathtaking stargazing anywhere.

TIPS FROM THE EXPERTS

• Australia is the size of the United States, so you’ll want time to explore. At last three weeks is ideal, but you can experience many highlights over two weeks (and then come back for more!).

• Australia is only one sleep away! With many nonstop flights departing from the U.S. in the evening, it’s the right amount of time to unwind and get a good night’s rest.

• To beat jet lag, take advantage of early check‑in to drop off your bags and then keep going through the day.

Australia is a fabulous destination. The natural beauty, ease of communication throughout the country and the value of the American dollar make it a must-do destination. We visited Sydney and Adelaide and our travel advisor was interested in learning our travel style. She fit multiple experiences around our tastes, and allowed us time to explore on our own. Our trip was uniquely fitted to us. We plan to return!

– David B., Delaware

• Experience the Outback and sacred sites such as Uluru in the Northern Territory — with the most amazing temperatures in autumn and spring.

• Melbourne is such a walkable city, so try a guided walking tour based on your interests like street art or food and wine.

• Australia’s winter season (May through October) is a perfect time to check off two UNESCO World Heritage sites in one trip to Far North Queensland: the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest.

• Explore more remote regions like Western Australia and Tasmania for unique wildlife, exceptional food and wine, and local culture.

National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions’ enduring connections help sustain life on the Galápagos Islands.

In a dazzling display of living history — with weathered volcanic landscapes, charismatic wildlife and waters brimming with life — the natural experience on the Galápagos Islands is largely unchanged in the nearly 60 years since Lindblad Expeditions founder Sven Lindblad’s father, Lars-Eric Lindblad, brought the first international citizen explorers to the archipelago.

The elder Lindblad organized the first expedition of international travelers in 1967; soon after, he helped first fund the salaries of the first park rangers of the recently formed Galápagos National Park and supported a scientist to develop a long-term plan for responsible travel.

Since then, these secluded islands have captured the hearts and imaginations of countless travelers. In an important show of dedication, National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions continues to empower locals and create remarkable opportunities for travelers. Aided by cutting-edge research tools and joined by naturalists, photographers and cultural experts, every journey inspires learning and helps fund sustainability and education projects.

When you’re not observing flamingos or crouching down to photograph marine iguanas and Galápagos penguins, you’ll have endless opportunities to see these projects in action. Tour the Charles Darwin Research Station, part of the largest and oldest science and conservation organization on the islands. Visit a captive breeding program supported by Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic Fund for Galápagos giant tortoises and observe these creatures in the wild. Every meal — like flavorful ceviche, rich seco stew, fresh juices, and Galápagos-grown coffee — naturally forges a connection to the culture, with ingredients sourced from over 40 farmers across the archipelago as well as mainland Ecuador.

Two purpose-built expedition ships, National Geographic Gemini and National Geographic Delfina, have joined National Geographic Endeavour II and National Geographic Islander II in exploring the region. IT’S A FEAST

Savor global and inclusive dining on Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest ship.

How many first-of-its-kind experiences will you find aboard Norwegian Aqua? Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest Prima Class ship launched in spring and has been making waves ever since.

Representing an evolution from its innovative sisters, Norwegian Viva and Norwegian Prima, this ship features fresh new additions like the two-person Aqua Slidecoaster, the LED-filled Glow Court sports area and the first-ever duplex Haven staterooms. Going above and beyond are Norwegian Aqua’s newest dining options, each one offering a distinctive experience.

Satisfy your craving for spicy, sweet, sour, and salty flavors at Sukhothai, Norwegian Cruise Line’s first specialty Thai restaurant. You can start light with a green papaya salad tossed with a perfectly balanced dressing of lime, chilis and crushed

peanuts, or savor the silkiness of coconut milk–infused tom kha gai soup. Thai curries are made to your liking (you can even request lobster as your protein!), and flavorful rice or noodle dishes will make you feel as if you’ve traveled afar while relaxing in a wonderfully inviting setting.

Instead of being an afterthought, plantbased dishes play a starring role at Planterie. This newest of 10 stations at the complimentary Indulge Food Hall is perfectly suited for vegans and vegetarians but inclusive of all tastes. Dine on combinations like the Southwest Bowl made with smoked tempeh, tofu poke bowls and the Mediterranean Goddess Bowl packed with spiced vegetables and tabbouleh.

Grab a comfortable seat and take your taste buds on a journey through the vineyards of the world at Swirl. Tucked

away on Deck 6, this elegant new wine bar feels like a secret hideaway where knowledgeable staff will pour wines by the glass — including from a collection of rare and premium finds.

These palate-pleasing additions complement Norwegian Cruise Line’s signature restaurants and dining experiences. Order delicious courses in the Main Dining Room or dine your way from tandoori fare to Texas barbecue at Indulge Food Hall, and enjoy specialty meals with your loved ones at Cagney’s Steakhouse and Onda by Scarpetta. We’re here to give you guidance on special dietary requests and to make reservations on your behalf. Give us a call, send us an email or visit our website — found on the back cover — and enter offer m28735.

Shine a Light Caribbean

Suntans are aglow from the steady sunlight bouncing off cerulean waters and white sands. A fiery light illuminates the ship as the infamous Scarlet Night party kicks off the night. From the vibrant energy of a private beach club to the most spectacular sunsets of your lifetime, discover all the ways to find your Caribbean bliss with Virgin Voyages.

Virgin Voyages dazzles with adults-only cruises.

Sail away from Miami or San Juan with voyages that last from four to 12 nights. Whether you’re searching for a long weekend escape or taking a deep dive into paradise, your journey is a parade of engaging excursions, captivating onboard activities and 20-plus unique eateries. In an adults-only setting aboard a superyachtinspired ship, the only tough choice you’ll find yourself making is whether to sunbathe and snooze or dine and dance.

Shorter voyages from Miami deliver all the thrills of Virgin Voyages in one easy escape. Spend more time on a seven-night cruise to the Western Caribbean, to the Dutch Caribbean islands, or to other blissful islands. Enjoy a whole day in the private Beach Club at Bimini in the Bahamas — swimming with stingrays, zipping away on a Jet Ski or learning about the island’s rich history. Nearly every itinerary features a late or overnight stay, so you can spend more time on land. Take time to wander Grand Cayman’s 7-mile beach, plunge into turquoise waters of Roatán’s West Bay Beach or go from a day of hiking to dancing into the night in Aruba. Sail even farther into the Caribbean Sea when you depart from San Juan on a port-packed itinerary.

Start planning and you’ll be at sea before you know it.

LIVING THE

BAJA LIFE

Three game-changing ships sail regularly from Los Angeles to Mexico. Give yourself the vacation you deserve on board the reimagined Navigator of the Seas, ® or the Quantum Class Ovation of the Seas® or Quantum of the Seas.® A wonderful weekend away whisks you to Ensenada on a two-, three- or four-night getaway. Five- to seven-night itineraries journey to the blissful coast of Cabo San Lucas, including overnight stays on select voyages.

The bustling port of Ensenada is a gateway to the Baja California peninsula, filled with natural wonders and cultural experiences. Watch whales migrating toward warm waters in winter and gasp as La Bufadora — one of the world’s largest marine geysers — bursts forth into the air. Fresh fish tacos and tequila tastings are always within reach, while Mexico’s scenic wine region of Valle de Guadalupe is a short drive away.

Arrive in Cabo San Lucas, a special place where the desert meets the sea and day-to-day life is as laid-back or adventurous as you desire. Set out on a sea kayak safari to watch marine life in action, and spot the famous granite arches of El Arco rising from the point where the Pacific Ocean reaches the Sea of Cortez. Dip your toes in the waters of Playa

Medano before unwinding under a palapa-style beach bar for an icy margarita or a chilled grapefruit paloma. An overnight stay gives you even more time to explore further — like a day trip to Todos Santos, known as a Pueblo Mágico, to wander among artisan shops and explore an 18th-century Spanish mission.

Free days at sea are the perfect chance to create connections alongside your loved ones. Take turns learning to surf on the FlowRider® surf simulator or feel your adrenaline flow on the RipCord® by iFLY® skydiving simulator. Move easily from racing down exhilarating waterslides to sunbathing by the pool, grabbing snacks and drinks at your leisure. With so many sit-down dining options on board, you’ll never eat the same meal twice (unless ice cream counts!).

Whether you choose a long weekend or a weeklong voyage, rejuvenation awaits on your Royal Caribbean cruise. Let us start planning so you can be on your way.

Taste your way through Tahiti with Windstar Cruises. We recommend

From the blue hue of the water to the fragrant lei draped around your neck, the atmosphere is set for an evening in paradise — and the tempting cuisine before you is a sight to behold. Bright citrus and creamy coconut milk create a perfect balance for poisson cru. Platters of freshly caught fish and slow-roasted pork bring local flavors to light as fire dancers begin their captivating rituals.

On a yachting voyage through the islands of French Polynesia, a private feast on a tiny islet is more than a highlight — it is a culmination of joyful moments that only Windstar Cruises can deliver. Carrying a maximum of 312 guests on every voyage, Star Breeze deftly connects the tropical islands of Tahiti, Mo‘orea, Bora Bora, and beyond. Understand culture through cuisine

while dining on board at Veranda and Amphora restaurants, and while meandering on a street food tour and through other special events. You’ll learn how global flavors made their way to the islands through dishes like ma’a tinito — Chinese-inspired braised pork, red beans and macaroni — and casse-croûte chowmen, a French baguette piled high with savory chow mein noodles.

In between dining adventures, there are endless ways to connect with your surroundings. Jump straight from the Watersports Platform into the clear sea, go snorkeling in tranquil bays, and enjoy cultural performances and artistic demonstrations by locals. Find your own paradise in French Polynesia with Windstar Cruises.
