Gotthard Panorama Express

The Bernina Express leaves Chur, Switzerland’s oldest town, and passes 196 bridges, 55 tunnels, glaciers, and the iconic Landwasser Viaduct on its way to Italian Tirano. From here, travellers can reach Lugano by bus

Starting in Lugano and Bellinzona, this panoramic train runs along the historic Gotthard Railway route from the Italian-speaking south to Central Switzerland. From Flüelen, the journey can either be continued by boat to Lucerne or by train to Arth-Goldau.
