Financial Aid
Since our founding in Colorado Territory in 1864, St. Mary’s Academy has been an inclusive community that welcomes students of every race, religious tradition, and economic background. We know your commitment to providing your child with the best education, deep-rooted values, and pathways to leadership and success requires a considerable financial investment. We offer a tuition assistance program, made possible through generous donors who want to foster the experience for others. SMA offers approximately $2 million in need-based tuition assistance for Kindergarten through Grade 12. For more information, including application steps and required documentation, please visit our website at stmarys.academy/financialaid.
Student Visit Experience
Student visits allow prospective students to go directly to the heart of the SMA High School experience by spending a day in our classrooms. Lunch is provided, and students can request specific hosts.
The High School Placement Test
Prospective incoming High School students must take the HSPT. ISEE is also accepted.
St. Mary’s Academy Academic Excellence Award
SMA offers 15 Academic Excellence Awards each school year for students who are academically at the top of their class class and who showcase leadership abilities and commitment to service learning. To be eligible for an award, prospective students must take the HSPT at SMA, indicate SMA as the first-choice school, and score in the 90th percentile on the HSPT. Finalists who score 90 or above on the HSPT at SMA will be notified via email and invited to submit an additional essay and letter of recommendation, and participate in a merit interview.
