You will recall our Stewardship Programme in 2013 which involved a number of ‘Gatherings’, the Stewardship Booklet and Response Cards. The Programme was ins tuted by instruc ons from the General Assembly. Every Church of Scotland congrega on is required to conduct an annual review on a three year cyclical basis dealing with, Money, Time and Talents. The me has come round again for St Mark’s to look at money.

This graphic appeared in the Stewardship Booklet. Has your posi on changed since that me? The Stewardship Commi ee has concluded that we can probably forego a congrega onal gathering this year. Deciding how best to support your church financially is, a#er all, an individual decision. Only you can decide what you put into your FWO envelope or how to instruct your bank to make Standing Order payments. Many members do these things generously but regre ably others do not, although there is a regular amount given in the Open Plate. It is also true to say that members also support our various social ac vi es, by dona ng home bakes etc, buying ckets, raffles and the like. St Mark’s is very apprecia ve of all of this support and a#er all we are well known for our hospitality. Where the money comes from
