Investing in the Legacy of St Margaret’s College
For over 115 years, St Margaret’s College has played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of young women. Our commitment to excellence in education has propelled our girls into the world as confident, global citizens who value personal excellence and strive to make a positive difference.
St Margaret’s has remained steadfast in upholding our founding value of dedication to a higher purpose, by fostering a tradition of giving in our culture and community. So much has been achieved and so many lives have been positively impacted through the generosity of successive generations of families and alumnae.
Leaving a gift in your Will is an especially effective, powerful and enduring way in which you make a lasting impact on St Margaret’s College and its girls - now and in the future; and a way in which you acknowledge the part the College has played in your life.
It would be our privilege to discuss a Gift in Will with you, and to ensure that we can honour your intentions. For those who record their intentions in writing, we would also be pleased to welcome you into the 1910 Society to recognise your generosity through a special and ever closer connection with our College.
We warmly invite you to discuss your wishes with our St Margaret’s College Foundation Office. We look forward to a conversation with you soon.

The 1910 Society
St Margaret’s College honours and celebrates those who have included, or plan to include, a gift to the College in their Will by welcoming them as members of the 1910 Society.
The 1910 Society welcomes anyone who confirms in writing their intention to leave a gift to the College in their Will. As a member, you will join a community of like-minded St Margaret’s champions who share a deep connection to the College and a commitment to its future. Members are invited to key College events, helping maintain a lasting and meaningful relationship with the College.
Unless you prefer to remain anonymous, your generous gift will be acknowledged in St Margaret’s College publications as a token of our gratitude. However, while we encourage anyone who has included St Margaret’s in their Will to let us know, we understand and respect the wishes of those who prefer to keep their intentions private.
We would love you to be a member of this very special group of people.

Planning a Gift in your Will
Every gift, large or small, makes a lasting and meaningful impact enabling St Margaret’s College to realise our vision for the education of young women now and into the future.
It is simple to add a provision for a charitable gift in your Will. You may choose to define your gift as:
• A percentage of your total estate
• A percentage of the residue of your estate
• Specified assets (stocks, shares, real estate)
• A nominated sum of money
• An in vivo gift (a gift given during your lifetime to allow you the ability to witness the impact of your generosity)
We recommend that you discuss your intentions with your family when planning your gift, and that you seek independent legal and financial advice when preparing or updating your Will.
The Foundation operates as an independent professional entity and is a registered charitable trust, governed under the direction of a Board of Trustees. Robust policies and processes have been developed to ensure the professional and prudent management, investment and disbursement of all funds.
