NHBZ All-You-Can Eat Pizza Night Returns

It’s what we’ve been waiting for -- the return of Nusach Hari’s all-you-can eat Pizza Night! From 4:30-6:30 p.m., enjoy a delicious dine-in buffet of kosher pizza, pasta, salad and garlic bread plus a dessert and beverage. Special entertainment: a demonstration of the magic of origami. Prices are $15 for adults, $7 for kids ages 4-10, and free for kids ages 3 and under. The pizza cheese is Cholov Yisroel and pareve crusts are available upon request. Holocaust Museum sneak preview

The St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum reopens its newly expanded facilities on Nov. 2. From 11 a.m. to noon, join the museum’s Director of Education and Interpretation, Helen Turner, for a sneak preview. She will share the Museum’s legacy and highlight the world-class renovations and enhancements. Crown Center/NHBZ offer talk by Rabbi Smason

Rabbi Ze’ev Smason of NHBZ will share his wisdom and humor in a special series presented by Crown Center’s Crown on the Road and NHBZ. From noon to 1 p.m. at NHBZ, 650 N. Price Road, he will discuss “May You Live Until 120: 6 Keys to Living Long, and Living Well,” in the second event of the series (the third is Monday, Sept. 12 on “7 Steps to Worry-Free Living.”) The cost is $10 per class and includes Circle@Crown Cafe boxed lunch. Wastewater surveillance & sampling during a pandemic

From 2-3 p.m. Dr. Marc Johnson of the University of Missouri-Columbia will lead an online discussion for the Mirowitz Center about how scientists and researchers are focusing on wastewater testing in sewers during the pandemic. This cost-effective method can see warning signs of viral mutations or pandemic surges before data from doctor’s offices or hospitals reach public health officials. Johnson is a professor of molecular microbiology and immunology at Mizzou. On Mondays in May, sign up for a half-hour session with Larry Edison, who offers oneon-one assistance in learning how to use one’s technology devices. Rabbi leads weekly meditation
