St. Louis County Requirements for InflatableDevices

Effective immediately thefollowingis thestandardforinflatableamusementset-upin St. Louis County and municipalities that contract with St. Louis County for those services. The requirementsareasfollows:
It is the operator's responsibility to have all inflatable amusement devices ready for inspection at the requested time stated on amusement permit. Devices not ready for inspection willnotbeallowedto operate.
1.Definition of"not ready for inspection": device not set-up and ready for intended use at time ofinspection. Reasons would include nothavingproper equipment such as; stakes, sandbags, blowers/fans, properextension cordsor generatorsonsiteforproperset-up
2. All tether points must have a stake or the manufacturers specified weight. Ifother than stakes are used, only approved and intended equipment for inflatable device hold down shallbeused. Devicesusedforweightshallbemarkedtoindicateweight. Amanufactuer guidewithouttetherpointweight requirements shallbe staked.
3. Cancelation of events. An event that requires cancelation during normal work hours between 8 am - 3 pm, M - F requires 1 hour notification prior to inspection time. Cancelation for afterhours inspection, weekend, or holiday inspection requires notification by 3 pm oflast work day prior to event. No refunds ifnot notified per this section. Example: cancel byFriday 3 pmfor Sundayevent. Cancelby 3 pmThursday for Fridayobservedholidayevent.

Effective February 1,2012Permit & InspectionFees Increased (Per St. Louis County Ordinance No. 24,967)
Effective im·mediately, the following is the standard for amusement set-up in St. Louis County and municipalities listed on the attached Matrix that contract with St. Louis County for those services. The requirementsareas follows:
1. Operators are required to register with the St. Louis County. Review the attached information on setup requirements. To register, completea financial responsibility formand pennit application. The required formsshall beonfile withmechanicalinspectionsectionpriortoanypermit processing.
a. Financial responsibility form - Statement of financial responsibility renewed every 3 years. Requiresinsurance certificate tobe maintainedandinplace.
b. Permit applicationform-Used tosubmitamusementpermits forthe season. Alf devices tobeset upforevent shallbe listed to include concession trailersthat are equippedwitha fire suppression system.
2. Submit amusement permit application and payment to Mechanical Inspection Section, 41 S. Central Avenue, 6th Fl., Clayton, MO63105. This can beaccomplishedeitherin person at theClaytonoffice, byopening a trust accountwith St Louis County oremail/faxpermit application. The last option is for credit cards only and requires coordination with you, our office and accounting. If paying by check, makepayabletoSt LouisCountyTreasurerfor permitandinspectionfees.
3. Effective February 1, 2012, the newfees are:
$32permit
$30perinflatable
$30 perconcession
$45 permechanical ride
Theminimumfee forinspectionis$79.
4. After hour inspection fee will remain at $195. This fee is applied for any inspection that is on - weekends, holidays or outside the normal duty hours of 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday. This will allow theinspectionof4 devices. More than4devices, a $32.50 fee, per device will apply.
