St Joseph’s College
College Development Plan
College Development Plan
Foreword St Joseph’s College is an excellent 3-18, co-educational independent day and boarding school, with many outstanding features, including its unique ethos. What, however, makes an excellent school into a consistently outstanding school, is an ability to examine itself honestly, and genuinely know what makes it unique, know where it wants to be and know how it is going to get there. The Knowledge, Vision and Direction must all be underpinned by a strong strategic business and development plan. Therefore, welcome to our College Development Plan – a document that will help to guide our future and plan our priorities. An integral part of our combined role and responsibility is to make an immediate start on developments and improvements for current students, parents and staff, as well as to future-proof the school for generations to come. Our aims are centred on ensuring the highest quality educational provision on a campus with facilities which underpin a rewarding and enriching student experience. The College is in a much stronger position today than it has ever been. We now own the freehold of our beautiful and centrally located 62 acre site. We have a large, talented and committed body of staff and an enlarged skills, knowledge and experience from a range of backgrounds, including construction, property, academia, the arts, law, business and marketing. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many friends and colleagues who have contributed to the creation of this ambitious plan and who will now share with us the responsibility for enabling its delivery. Now that we have a shared and detailed strategic ‘blueprint’ and ‘master plan’ for our school, the future for St Joseph’s College looks bright. We are truly excited about the future and hope that you will share our excitement as you read through our plan and gain a sense of the direction and ambition that we have for our school.
