SJPA charity for 2026/2027 The SJPA has chosen to support Action for Carers Surrey for the academic Year 2026/2027. Action for Carers Surrey provides support, advice and information for unpaid carers across Surrey. As Surrey Young Carers is a service provided by Action for Carers Surrey, the funds that the SJPA raises will be received by Action for Carers Surrey and ringfenced to support young carers work, ensuring they directly benefit young carers and their families across Surrey. Young carers might be looking after a brother or sister with autism, or a parent with a disability. Action for Carers Surrey provides support and opportunities to meet – and have fun with – other children and young people in similar positions. They support young carers all across Surrey and from every type of family. Support is available from the aged of 5. Action for Carers provides support depending on different situations, from activities to providing time out from a young carers caring role and meeting children in a similar position, to more intensive groups and tailored one-to-one help, for young carers in a more difficult situation. https://www.actionforcarers.org.uk/
SJPA Events and Committee The SJPA hosts a variety of events for parents throughout the year, hosting at least one social event a term. The SJPA also run the second hand uniform shop that opens regularly throughout the term with the shop located in the Courtyard (stjohns.2ndhanduniform@gmail.com). All the money raised by the SJPA is used to fund school initiatives and support charities each year.
