Community Partnership ANNUAL MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY Pupils took part in a range of community-focused activities, supporting local residents through gardening projects and assisting at three primary schools. Others raised funds for charitable causes by completing sponsored walks.
SUPPORTING LOCAL SCHOOLS AND RESIDENTS AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB FOR EAL CHILDREN 12 pupils volunteer weekly at Leatherhead Trinity Primary School, supporting the after-school club for pupils with English as an additional language.
SWIMMING LESSONS Two Local schools use our swimming pool and facilities for swimming lessons.
ARTS AWARD SHOWCASE Lower Sixth pupils presented their independent projects, combining multiple art forms and sharing their work with the school community at the annual Gold Arts Award Showcase.
EPSOM PRIMARY SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP Pupils from Epsom Primary School participated in regular activities and enrichment opportunities led by our pupils and staff.

Pupils volunteered at the Community Christmas Lunch and Summer High Tea, for local residents Pupils volunteered weekly at a local allotment managed by The Links Centre 2030 Pupils volunteered fortnightly at Leatherhead Trinity Primary School, helping younger pupils develop literacy and numeracy skills Pupils volunteered fortnightly at Leatherhead Youth project, assisting with drop-in sessions for secondary school pupils Pupils volunteered at least once a fortnight at Woodlands School, (for children with special educational needs)
Sport Sport at St John's continues to thrive, with exceptional levels of participation, performance and representation. Throughout the year, pupils competed across a wide range of sports, representing the school at local, regional and national level while benefiting from an extensive and varied sports programme.

SPORT AND WELLBEING ACTIVITIES Our co-curricular programme offeres pupils a wide range of opportunities beyond traditional team sports. Activities such as dance, yoga, golf and tennis encouraged pupils to develop new skills, enhance their physical wellbeing and pursue personal interests while enjoying an active and balanced school experience.

Performing Arts Autumn Term Concerto Competition Our unique Concerto Competition saw 13 pupils perform this year, accompanied by a professional orchestra. Lower School Cabaret: Spellbound Almost 50 Lower School pupils took part in an evening of fabulous musical theatre, showcasing the exceptional talent emerging throughout the School.

Spring Term The Forbes Music Competition and Winners' Recital Every instrumental category was represented, showcasing an exceptional standard of performance throughout the competition. The Witches of Eastwick Our biggest musical yet, featuring a cast and crew of 77, three flying witches, seven illusions, 340 lighting cues and 185 costumes.
The Michaelmas Concert A sold-out event featuring over 200 performers from all of our major ensembles.
Dance and LAMDA Showcase Over 50 performers from across all year groups took part in an evening celebrating excellence in dance and LAMDA. Summer Concert Every major ensemble performed, culminating in a powerful rendition of Rutter's Gloria featuring a professional band, the School Choir, Choral Society, and the choirs of The Study and Danes Hill. Lower School Play James and the Giant Peach saw two packed houses and a huge cast (and octopus) delight audiences in two hilarious performances.

Musical Theatre Cabaret Once again, this event featured our highestever number of performers, showcasing the exceptional quality of musical theatre at St John's and the remarkable depth of talent across the School.
Christmas Rock Concert Our biggest-ever concert, featuring two hours of fantastic rock and pop music.
The Performing Arts continue to play a central role in life at St John's, with pupils embracing exceptional opportunities across music, drama, dance and LAMDA. ANNUAL INSPECTION The CCF enjoyed an extremely successful Inspection Day on 30 April 2026. The Inspecting Officer praised the commitment, professionalism and enthusiasm demonstrated by both cadets and adult volunteers, recognising the strength of the contingent and the breadth of opportunities offered across all three sections.

Trips Highlights Pupils enjoyed a wide range of educational, cultural and sporting experiences throughout the year. From conservation work in South Africa and surfing in Morocco to skiing in Austria and Italy, trips provided opportunities to develop independence, broaden horizons and bring classroom learning to life. Destinations included New York, Washington DC, Iceland, Berlin, Paris, Spain and the UAE, alongside numerous residential and day trips across the UK.
