LORI CRABTREE

Grateful Patient

After years of ignoring her brother’s and care provider’s suggestions that she have the test because of her family history of breast cancer, Lori Crabtree finally agreed to get screened when her brother tested positive for the BRCA 1 gene.

The process at St. John’s was surprisingly simple, and she felt an overwhelming sense of relief to finally know for certain that she did not have the BRCA 1 gene. “They say knowledge is power, and now I have a quiet confidence in knowing I am not at high risk for breast cancer,” Lori said. “Before having that reassurance, St. John’s staff supported me every step of the way.”
