ES ’76, HS ’80 SJ H A G ra n d pa re n t A proud Staten Island native and lifelong Hilltopper, Anne Marie is a graduate of St. Joseph Hill Academy's elementary and high schools and a current SJHA Elementary School grandparent. She holds a BS in Nursing from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and an MPH in Health Care Administration from Columbia University. For more than 35 years, Anne Marie led rehabilitation medicine at Staten Island University Hospital and Northwell Health. As Senior Director of Rehabilitation Medicine, she guided the hospital's national accreditation for Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation for 30 consecutive years, developed an outpatient Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program recognized in the top 5% nationwide, and launched Project SEARCH at SIUH — a workstudy program for students with developmental disabilities. A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives since 1992, she has been honored with the Staten Island Heart Society Excellence in Healthcare Award, the New York State Women of Distinction Award, and the Soroptimist Ruby Award. Her bond with St. Joseph Hill Academy runs deep: for 25 years she served as the school's swimming coach and later returned as a career panelist. St. Joseph Hill Academy is proud to honor Anne Marie McDonough.
