OSA BIENNIAL LUNCH AND FAREWELL TO MRS JOY SHEPHERD

Welcome to the July Edition of the Chronicle Post. PRINCIPAL’S APPOINTMENT It is with much anticipation that we await the arrival in 2015 of our new Principal, Mrs Kim Kiepe BEd, DipT, MACEL, MAICD. Kim comes to us from St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School in Brisbane bringing with her a wealth of experience in education. As Kim and her husband, Peter prepare to move to Perth, we look forward to welcoming them to St Hilda’s and life in Western Australia.

OSA BAZAAR Traditionally held the day before Mother’s Day, our annual Bazaar continues to grow each year with more and more people in attendance. Many hands make this event so successful and I would like to sincerely thank those who contributed with such dedication this year. In particular, I would like to extend my thanks to Bronwyn Gaze for her generous donation of a painting that was auctioned. I strongly encourage more Old Scholars to register their interest in the Bazaar by either taking a stall or becoming involved behind the scenes. It brings together the whole School community and should not be missed!

To wish Mrs Joy Shepherd every happiness in her retirement, the Old Scholars Association will host a lunch on Saturday, 1 November at the Chidley Campus. Joy has had a significant impact on our School and will be greatly missed. I do hope many of you, in particular those who attended school during Joy’s tenure, will be able to join us at this special event. The 2014 OSA Committee looks forward to you joining the Biennial Lunch, your Class reunion, or other special events featured in the calendar over leaf. There is plenty of opportunity to remain connected. Angela Heaton (Mitchell ’75)

The funds generated by this event support our Scholarships and OSA gifts to the School.
