International Immersion Programmes

An academically ambitious independent British boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18

St George’s Ascot is a leading independent boarding school for girls, set within a peaceful woodland campus in Royal Berkshire and just 20 minutes from London Heathrow Airport.

Our International Immersion Programmes are designed to offer academic rigour alongside exceptional care. Whether your daughter joins us for a short immersion or a full academic year, she becomes a full member of our school community from day one.

She will be studying alongside our Georgians, following a carefully structured curriculum, and benefiting from specialist teaching and tailored English language support.

Through small class sizes, subject-specialist staff and an embedded approach to English as an Additional Language (EAL), pupils develop confidence in both academic and everyday English.

Our aim is to equip our international pupils with the language fluency, academic foundations and learning habits required to succeed in the British education system and beyond, enabling them to progress with confidence to the next stage of their academic journey.

SGA INTENSIVE ONE OR TWO WEEK IMMERSION PROGRAMME

A high-impact introduction to British boarding life

A short-stay boarding experience for girls aged 11–15, offered twice per academic year. Pupils enjoy a fully immersive experience with English language learning, academic programme and inclusive boarding life.

Highlights

• Two cultural excursions, including a Royal Windsor experience

• Airport transfers at the start and end of the programme

SGA TERM+ IMMERSION PROGRAMME

Join SGA as a full boarder for one term or more in all year groups

International pupils join St George’s Ascot as full members of the boarding community, entering in September, January or April for one term or longer.

SGA PRE-GCSE PATHWAY (ONE YEAR)

A specialised academic foundation for international pupils

A one-year programme for girls aged 13–14, preparing for entry into Year 10 and GCSE study. The pathway blends intensive English development with selected mainstream subjects and full boarding integration.

• Selected mainstream subjects combined with intensive language support

• Structured preparation for entry into Year 10 and GCSEs

SGA PRE-A LEVEL PROGRAMME (ONE YEAR)

An accelerated route to success

A rigorous one-year programme for academically motivated pupils aged 15–16, leading to up to six iGCSE or GCSE qualifications and progression to Sixth Form or equivalent post-16 study.

Introduction to IELTS to progress your future studies.
