G’DAY FROM THE PRESIDENT
Welcome to the Inaugural Motul Southern Cross Challenge Cup.
The world is on a funny axis at the moment and all things are unsettled. We just hope that getting to the race track, racing your mates, chatting with complete strangers gives you an outlet to enjoy this world and forget about the other side of the circuit fence. Time to enjoy this world for a couple of days and rest the brain and the body.
The support shown by the racers, the partners of the club, the brilliant volunteers to make this event happen has been tested at times. It is so great to see the event happening with such great gusto. Thank you.
To our 3 wheeled friends, great to see you track side racing with us again and happy that St George MCC could give you a home to continue your national championship at. We hope to see you again and more of your mates next.
We as a club have had some changes recently, all with the aim to get better at what we do. Interact better with the members and strive to continue the sport well into the future. With this, the club will be hosting some forums soon to discuss the near future and ask for input from the members to ensure all aspects are covered. Please, if you care for the sport and the clubs future – make an effort to spend a couple of your hours being involved in these forums…
Have a great weekend and thank you all for the support of the event and I still cannot believe we have Troy Bayliss and Troy Corser putting their names to the main trophies… true indication of what this event means now and into the future for motorcycling in this country.
