The StFX X-Men football program represents a cornerstone of the StFX experience.

A source of Xaverian pride, since 1960 the team has won 13 AUS championship banners and one national championship, competing against teams from much bigger universities and better-resourced athletic programs. Never afraid to be the underdog, OUR TEAM has earned respect on the field, getting the job done through grit, determination and heart.

It’s time we deliver that same level of respect off the field.

Many football alumni credit the program for instilling transformational values such as teamwork, resilience and family. The camaraderie and support from one another enabled our players to succeed, both on and off the field.

It’s up to us to ensure the StFX Football program is set up for continued success.

SHEA FAMILY LOCKER ROOM CAMPAIGN The Shea family’s involvement with the football program at StFX dates back to the 1950s. Since that time they have been true supporters of the football program and StFX University.

The locker room within the Oland Centre does not meet the needs of a competitive varsity program. It’s time to fix it. The football facilities are far too small and outdated to meet the team’s needs. In fact, the StFX X-Men football team cannot host a team meeting within their current locker room as the space will not accommodate all players within the same locker room. This affects team spirit and morale, not to mention that it creates practical challenges for both players and coaches.
