Brandy Spring Park – Mercer, PA - 40 acres with a fishing pond, picnic pavilions, baseball and softball fields, tennis courts and a playground.
Buhl Farm Park – Hermitage, PA - 300 acre public park donated by Frank H. Buhl with hiking, tennis, fitness trail, swimming, playgrounds, Nature Explore at Sandy’s Place, kayaking, bike pump track, disc golf, pickle ball, driving range, baseball field, picnicking, indoor and outdoor pavilions that are available to rent for any special occasion, an outdoor amphitheater and the only FREE public golf course in the United States.
13 designated scenic byways. Lake Wilhelm Scenic Byway, Creek Road, is 6.4 miles long and runs the western side of Lake Wilhelm and Sandy Creek.
Pymatuning State Park – located in Jamestown, PA. The park was dedicated in 1934 and built for the purpose of regulating water flow into the Shenango and Beaver Rivers. It also impounds flood waters after excessive rain. With a 17,088 acre reservoir, Pymatuning Lake is the largest man-made lake in the state. 20 hp motors are permitted on the lake which is great for boating, fishing, swimming, picnicking and many more activities. More people visit Pymatuning than almost any other state park. There are many viewing areas for wildlife around the lake. Shenango River Lake – a 3,560 acre River Lake situated adjacent to the suburban Shenango Valley. Visitors may spend their day picnicking, camping, boating, jet skiing, water skiing or enjoying nature’s beauty at one of the many recreation or access areas located on the lake.


Fishing enthusiasts are attracted to the waters for the bass, walleye, muskellunge and a variety of panfish that inhabit the lake. Thousands of anglers are drawn to the dam’s outflow area to fish for trout. Located at the lake is a trail for off road vehicles or for hiking. Around the shoreline of the lake are lovely picnic sites and pavilions to rent for a day of fun.
Another popular activity at the lake is bird watching with a large variety of migratory birds stopping over at the lake. Birds that have made a home at the lake include Bald Eagles, Osprey and Trumpeter Swans. Other animals that inhabit the lake are beavers and river otters.

Grove City Memorial Park – Grove City, PA - This community park features a public swimming pool with a separate wading pool for toddlers and changing facilities, basketball courts, a playground, restroom facilities and a walking trail. There is a gazebo and several pavilions for gatherings and picnics, a duck pond with dock and a 9-hole disc golf course and baseball/softball fields.
Hempfield Park – Large fenced in playground, small pond and two covered pavilions with picnic tables.
Riverside Park – Greenville, PA - 89 acre park, sitting on the banks of the Upper Shenango River Water Trail, with paved roadway for walking, running and biking. Several pavilions with picnic tables are located throughout the park along with a softball field, playground, disc golf course and amphitheater. The park has a nature trail that leads through the woods and connects with the Shenango River Bike Trail. The park is also the location of Carried Away Outfitters with a launch site to kayak or canoe the Upper Shenango River.
