Dear Friends of Thunder,
Welcome to Johnstown! If you’re a regular Thunder participant, welcome back! If you’re visiting for the very first time, we hope that you enjoy your time here and come back for future visits to our beautiful region!
We’re thrilled to bring you the 22nd edition of Thunder - the longest-running FREE bike rally in the mid-Atlantic! While you’re here, we hope you’ll take the time to explore the winding backroads, valleys and highlands of Cambria County in The Alleghenies Region, visit our National Parks and other historic sites, and enjoy good food, craft beer, and local wines and spirits.
We have a great and varied entertainment lineup for you including Hairball – “a bombastic celebration of arena rock” that’ll put on a show that you won’t soon forget, and the chart topping ‘80s rock band FireHouse. Check out the premium viewing area to get the best view of the bands!
New to Thunder is Whey Jennings Band. Whey is the grandson of country music legend Waylon Jennings! Thunder’s favorite rocker and multi-awardwinning Jasmine Cain, returns to surf the crowd and take everyone on a super-charged ride!
Enter your bike in the Kustom Legends Custom Motorcycle Show or test your skills at the Biker Games in Peoples Natural Gas Park.
New this year, guided rides to the Flight 93 National Memorial will depart Friday and Saturday from downtown Johnstown. America’s Original Motorcycle Thrill Show – The American Motor Drome Wall of Death - will take to the 14-ft. vertical wood wall and defy the laws of gravity.
by Don Costlow
Demo a bike from Yamaha and Harley-Davidson. Don’t miss Thursday’s Wheels & Wings in Ebensburg on Thursday.
As always, our Thunderbolt Saloons will be serving up a variety of Anheuser-Busch products as well as your favorite mixed drinks featuring Bulleit Frontier Whiskey! All pub proceeds support the rally and help us to keep it FREE! We appreciate your support!
We owe a big THANK YOU to so many individuals and organizations who work with us on Thunder throughout the year, many of whom work behind the scenes and support the rally in so many ways. We are particularly appreciative to our loyal Thunder fans!
Support the rally by buying only OFFICIALLY LICENSED Thunder in the Valley® merchandise!
Enjoy your visit and please ride safely so that we can welcome you and your friends and family back for our 23rd Annual Thunder in the Valley®, June 25-28, 2020!
Best Regards,
