We are excited to announce Kenneth Resta has joined Stevens Transport as Senior Director of Safety. Kenneth provides over 25 years of expertise in Transportation Safety and Driver Personnel matters. Kenneth most recently was with Riverside Transportation Inc. as their Director of Safety, overseeing all areas of safety, onboarding, and compliance for a fleet of 900+ drivers comprised of company drivers and independent contractors. Prior to Riverside, Kenneth spent 25 years at J.B. Hunt, working his way up through the organization to Senior Director of Safety. He oversaw the safety, compliance, and all culture aspects of 5,700 power units assigned to dedicated fleets while managing a staff of 6 Regional Safety Directors and 51 Safety Personnel who were responsible for developing customer specific training processes and risk assessment for physically demanding positions. Over his career, Kenneth has been known as a leader who leverages data for insight without losing the perspective of how it affects individuals with each decision. Kenneth is known for his collaborative leadership style and played a strategic role in the transformation of safety programs and development of future safety leaders at J.B. Hunt.

We feel fortunate to have Kenneth, along with his wealth of knowledge, extensive list of certifications, and experience as a leader, joining our safety operations leadership group. Originally from Staten Island, New York, Kenneth is a self-proclaimed food aficionado who loves all cultures and influences of food, especially Italian cuisine. Kenneth is relocating to the Dallas Metroplex from Rogers, Arkansas, accompanied by his wife of 24 years, Janine. They have two children, Kenneth and Nicole, who attend the University of Arkansas.

We are excited to welcome Heather Hellebusch, who will be joining Stevens Transport as our Vice President of Human Resources July 31, 2023. Heather is a results-oriented business executive with a proven track record of success in the full spectrum of HR functions. Heather focuses on delivering value-added human resource organizational development programs aligned with strategic, operational, and profit objectives. Heather’s experience spans across corporate, multi-unit, multi-state, and global operations in a broad array of industries. She has led the HR function at Nothing Bundt Franchising and Cinepolis Movie House and Eatery and served in HR leadership roles with Rent A Center, Bowlero , AMF and Michaels Stores. With a strong belief in leveraging technology to accelerate business, transforming culture, and a strategic focus on workforce planning, performance and goal management, Heather will be a great addition to our senior leadership team. Heather’s expertise in developing HR leaders, talent management structures, learning management systems, career path mapping and succession planning will be a strong focus. As we implement and upgrade our Human Resource Management Systems, Heather’s experience in implementation and training will allow for a smooth transition. Furthermore, Heather will lead our HR strategic vision of transforming the HR department from transactional to a hands-on strategic partner to better support our business leaders, company objectives, and provide value-added services to all associates. Heather believes in the collaborative approach, building bridges that create employee driven opportunity engagement programs resulting in a cohesive, dynamic culture across all platforms.

Heather is a native Texan, holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science- Psychology from Texas A&M. Recently, Heather completed the Harvard International Executive program and serves as CHRO roundtable Advisory Board member, HR Mastermind Mentor and HR inner Circle Founding Member amongst some of her achievements and affiliations. Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, going to music festivals, cooking, watching old movies and playing with their three dogs. A strong believer in giving back and paying it forward, she volunteers at the North Texas Food Bank, Minnie’s pantry, and the Collin County child advocacy center.
