Introducing Hyde Park Te Horo

A truly unique property which has been in one family ownership since 1981. Originally operated as a petrol station the property was over the years developed into a retail complex with a large private museum which displayed items from the past and the lifestyle of our fore fathers. The museum has recently been closed and the retail side of the property has seen a marked increase in tenancies and also shoppers coming to the complex. The retail area includes an established cafe’, a garden center, a number of art and craft shops and two hair dressers.

Hyde Park - Te Horo - Residential, Retail & Commercial

A well position commercial property with enormous potential.

Also included are professional offices and health care services. There are also additional residential properties at the rear of the 12,378 square meter section. The property has a number of potential tenancies and vacant tenancies, these include the old museum building, an old mechanical workshop with two large storage units at the rear of this workshop. There is an accommodation wing which could either be upgraded or divided into smaller commercial offices or residential units. Most importantly the property is large with a number of open spaces which would also allow for a new development.

Hyde Park - Te Horo - Residential, Retail & Commercial

A well established cafe’ offers a hub and a central focus for the retail complex.

The main tenants are the cafe’ and the garden center and this attracts a strong and regular clientele who either stop for a takeaway coffee or stop and enjoy a meal with family and friends. The large easy access carpark and safe access to State Highway One makes Hyde Park a regular meeting place for locals traveling from different corners of Kapiti Coast. The Local P.O. Boxes have also just been relocated to Hyde Park and the proposed Kapiti bypass fly-over will be located 100 meters north and will connect into Te Horo Beach Rd on the other side of the road to Hyde Park.
