Properties Stainless Steel remains the most popular medium for kitchen sink production. It’s not difficult to realise when you consider it’s main attributes: Heat Resistant Stainless Steel is highly heat resistant, so much so that hot pans straight from the stove can rest safely on the sink - a highly useful thing when juggling the pasta.

Hygienic A totally non-porous surface that is easy to keep clean and consequently more hygienic.

Impact Resistant Stainless Steel is the most forgiving material for impact and is the least likely material to damage your best china or glassware whilst remaining unscathed itself.

Sinks bearing the SilentCote icon are treated with a sound absorbing thermal paint on the underside, reducing noise and increasing durablity.

Finishes

Brushed Finish distinctive grained finish that is ideal for matching with stainless steel appliances.

Care and Cleaning Bleach/Chlorides These are found in almost all cleaning solutions and detergents and if left on the sinks for long periods can be damaging. They are water soluble, however, if you rinse away residues after each use. A weekly clean with a stainless steel cleaner is all that is needed to keep your sink looking bright and shiny.

Scratches Like most metallic finishes, your stainless steel sink will scratch. Don’t worry, these are simply usage marks that will eventually blend into the overall finish of the sink.

Water Quality The quality of your water can affect the appearance of your sink. When water has a high iron content a brown stain can form on the surface giving the appearance of rust. Remove mineral deposits and scaling by soaking in a solution of 3 parts hot water and 1 part white vinegar, and then dry it with a soft cloth to prevent further limescale build-up.

Plastic Washing-up Bowls It is not advisable to use a washing-up bowl as they tend to pick up grit particles and the bottom of the bowl can act like sandpaper leaving an area of concentrated tiny scratches. Instead try using a wire basket, these are available with most models.

All models are available with a choice of four accessories that will make your sink into an allround food preparation area. There are two stainless steel colanders, one that will fit in the main bowls of all models and a smaller one that can fit in main or half bowl.

Finally there is a choice of nylon or wooden chopping boards that fit over the bowl or the drainer.

The Spirito is the ultimate in urban chic, produced using the latest pressing technology to achieve ultra-sleek lines. The drainer has unique subtle plains which aid drain-off and provide a most attractive two tone effect with its brush-grained surface. The drainer is very deeply recessed which help contain spillages and allowing the accessories to be accommodated snugly. The half bowl dividing wall is lowered to allow water to run in to the half bowl to avoid unfortunate flooding!

The Glacier is a brand new concept for sinks, the design ethos is to close off the sink when not in use providing an overall sense of order to the whole kitchen.

The glass sliding boards provide a calm uncluttered appearance when closed that can hide the items queuing up for the dishwasher. The Mirage is a slightly more affordable version of the ‘covered sink’. It is very similar to the Glacier but is constructed from 0.7mm instead of 1.0mm steel has softer internal corners and a standard waste.

The Smooth really is a smooth operator. The entire sink and tap when closed off is completely concealed by the glass covers available with the sink. The Smooth is supplied with a custom fit mixer tap that can be lowered flush with the sink allowing the glass covers to slide over the sink to provide a calm mess-free atmosphere to the kitchen. Also available is a suspended colander that can remain in place with the covers on.

Properties Heat Resistant: Ceramic is heat resistant to 1200° centigrade - this means pots from the stove and casserole dishes straight from the oven can safely rest on a ceramic sink.

Hygienic: Totally non-porous, the ultra smooth surface is the most hygienic material for sinks and the easiest to keep clean.

Chemical Resistant: Resistant to all household chemicals including neat bleach.

Extreme Hardness: Extremely resistant to impact, the surface is so hard cutlery won’t scratch the glazed surface through normal use.

The dimensions of ceramic sinks may vary by +/- 2% from those given due to natural shrinkage and expansion during the manufacturing process.

Care and Cleaning To maintain the sink’s good looks avoid using abrasive cleaners, as they will dull the surface. Instead, weekly clean with a dilute solution of bleach which will keep the surface shiny and hygienic. Remove mineral deposits and scaling by soaking in a solution of 3 parts hot water and 1 part white vinegar. Aluminium marks left by saucepans can be removed using ‘Shiny Sink’ or ‘Astonish’ Paste. Always finish off by rinsing your sink with clean water to remove any residue, and then dry it with a soft cloth to prevent limescale build-up.

WARRANTY We offer a 5 year warranty from date of purchase on all working parts and valves for our taps, decorative surfaces are guaranteed for 1 year from purchase date providing care instructions have been followed and in particular no scouring agents have been used.

VALVE CARTRIDGES All our cartridge designs are tested for over 200,000 cycles before we will pass them for use in our taps. This means that under normal use conditions your tap valves have proven that they will work for many years to come.

WATER REGULATIONS All products are designed in accordance with European Water Regulations and are manufactured to WRAS or other applicable standards. To indicate WRAS approval certain taps will bear the initials CW on the rear of the tap body.

All products should be installed in accordance with Local Water Bye Laws.

FINISHES To ensure a perfect finish all our taps have undergone the highest quality chrome plating to ensure blemish free surfaces and crisp edges.

All finished off with hand-polishing process to ensure pristine good looks that will last.

About Water Pressure Gravity - it is very important that before you purchase your tap you establish the water pressure in your home. If you have a traditional hot water cylinder the pressure will be determined by gravity only.

Measure the height from the bottom of your cold storage tank (usually located in the loft) to your kitchen tap - the longer the drop the more pressure you will have - see table below.
