Let’s Talk About Stress Single family homeowners, condominium and cooperative owners—collectively “homeowners”—experience stress from a variety of community association stressors. In addition to stressors such as governance, finances, buildings and property, and people issues, the magnitude of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic made heavy demands on community association leaders, their community managers, and their business partners.
Underscoring the increased stress, CAI and regional chapters have scheduled prescriptive educational programming. CAI scheduled a March 2022 webinar “Under Pressure: How to Help Communities Cope with Stress and Anxiety.” CAI also scheduled at its 2022 annual conference the presentation “Community Manager Burnout.” Washington Metro Chapter included a “Mentoring Manager” presentation at its 2022 Conference and Expo.
