TERMS & CONDITIONS Mailed Bids: Mailed or telephoned bids will be handled in a most confidential manner. If you are unable to attend the sale personally, simply contact a representative of the sale far enough in advance prior to sale day. They will be able to assist you at ringside on sale day.

Delivery: Every effort will be made to arrange delivery of your purchases at a reasonable cost.

Terms And Conditions: Terms of the sale are cash. Settlement is to be made with the clerk immediately following the sale and before cattle are removed from the premises. Purchasers or their representatives must sign the bill of sale prior to leaving the sale.

Update On Breeding And Calving Information: There will be added information available at the sale site that will list any additions to the catalog information as to new calves born and new breeding information that will occur after the printing of this catalog.

Billed Accounts: All billed accounts are due and expected within 10 days following the date of the sale. At 10 days, a two percent service charge will be added to the unpaid balance and an additional two percent will be added every 30 days thereafter.

Insurance will be available for your purchases at the clerk’s desk.

Liability: Each animal will be at the buyer’s risk as soon as sold, but will be cared for by the sellers for a reasonable amount of time. Neither the owners, employees, auctioneer, sale manager or other affiliated personnel can be responsible for any accidents, but they will make every effort to provide for the safety and comfort of those attending.

Health: Each animal will be represented by a state approved health certificate for interstate shipment. Buyers should make themselves aware of the health requirements for their respective states.

ASA Genetic Defect Disclaimer: Unless an animal is listed on the American Shorthorn Association “genetic condition status list”, the American Shorthorn Association makes no representation of any kind as to whether or not the animal has a genetic condition.

Breeding Guarantee: The Standard Breeding Guarantee as endorsed by the American Shorthorn Association will be followed.

Flushes & DNA: The Swing the Gate consignors reserves one flush on their own individuals lot of eight or more grade 1 or 2 embryos at consignors expense on their females selling, if multiple owners they will divide embryos from said flush. The Swing the Gate consignors also retain at consignors expense the opportunity to obtain a DNA cell line for cloning purposes on their own individual lots selling in this sale. This is truly a sale feature! An own daughter of Sonny and breed great and model Shorthorn cow NPS Killian Rose L 4004 ET. This cross has produced countless champions and high sellers. 907 was the dam of the Champion Cow Calf at Illinois State Fair in 2015 and the open and mature Cow Calf Champion for the Courville family in 2016. The calf by Uncle at the side in 2015 was Reserve in her division both years. Her 2016 bull calf by Starburst was Reserve in his division this year. This pair of calves was the Champion Super Cow at this years Illinois Sate Fair. Looks like the proof is in the pudding here! This cow has never been flushed but absolutely needs to be. If 907 averages embryos like her mother and siblings it should be in the 15-20 range.
