Another great year for a Family Legacies sale. Mostly built around family, but we love legacies. We have a great opporunity to invite this year a family with a legacy, Bar N Cattle Company. We’re excited for their new adventure in life and honored to have them offer some of the best from the heart of their herd. We are pleased again to have Chance & Ashley Will of Will Cattle Company and Bert & Millie Moore of Mapleton Polled Shorthorns, include their offerings with us! These families are tried and true foundational success stories.
Through thick and thin, we appreciate those that continue to work with and support us. Paths might change, but there’s one thing that stays consistent and that is sharing our legacy with YOU!
The word Balance comes to mind when describing this offering. Genotype + Phenotype. We believe the combination of two create the ultimate view. The genetics we offer in this sale have stood the test of time. We have confidence these females will go out and produce for you for years to come.
It’s a great time to be in the cattle business and an even better time to be a Shorthorn enthusiast. We pride ourselves in doing what’s best for the industry and the breed.
Please reach out to us or any of our listed sale consultants for information or questions you might have regarding this offering. Cattle are always available to be viewed anytime before the sale, just give us a call. We look forward to getting together on sale day to sell these Shorthorns to new pastures!
Can’t wait to see you at the WCC Cow Palace!

When we broke the news to the Studer family that we had purchased a ranch in North Texas and would be making the move this fall, we unfortunately knew we wouldn’t be able to bring the entire herd with. They agreed this would be a great opportunity to put a group of cows right from the heart of the Bar N operation in the Family Legacy sale. The Studer family has been lifelong friends and we’d like to thank them for this opportunity.
As for the cows… there’s not one of them that we want to sell. But unfortunately the new ranch can’t hold them all and we have a large group of replacements that we think will make the big transition easier. Our loss is your gain. There are several cows here that could make an argument to jump into a donor pen and we hope you can pick out your favorites. They are all fall calving and several will have calved by sale day.

I could write a book on what the Silvia Cow family has done for us at Bar N. And her sire, Deerhorn Durango is stamping them out up in Kathryn at JSF. But I’m just gonna let her little roan heifer calf do the talking. She’s an absolute smoke show. Have fun with this one! Calved 9-2. Heifer Sired by JSF Mendoza 134K.

A little different breeding behind this one for us but nonetheless I think she is a valuable breeding peice. She has her dam’s eye appeal that was way ahead of her time. PE’d to JSF Manhattan 194J (11-18) -(12-13). Then Exposed to JSF Bank Draft 119L (12-13) - (2-14) Examined Safe.
