On each page you’ll see groupings of heifers from PVF donors who represent both new and proven PVF genetics. Donors in this year’s sale have been previous sale highlights themselves or have proven themselves as the matriarchs of such greats as PVF Blacklist 7077, or the newest PVF herd sire PVF Marvel 9185.

Focusing on the Donor Cow in this spring’s sale shows how investing in a PVF heifer is not just a one-year junior project, but an opportunity to grow the future of the Angus breed.

We are particularly proud this year of our bull offering, continuing the tradition of the breed impacting sires carrying the PVF prefix, and we think there are a number of prospects in this offering that will fit that mold.

Please join us Friday night, April 1st, at 6:30 p.m. at the farm for the sale, and for a pre-dinner meal that begins at 5:30 p.m. Cattle are available for viewing at any time before the sale or anytime during the day of April 1st. 1940’S

1994

Adam and Carl Schlipf (Alan’s Grandpa and Great Uncle) get involved in the Angus Industry by purchasing a group of cows from the A.D. Bradshaw herd.

They hold a production sale beginning 1953 and through the 1960’s.

1999

The first heifer to carry the PVF prefix, PVF Dameron Proven Queen 822, wins the National Junior Angus Show Grand Champion Heifer.

2008 Began a partnership with Transova Genetics as a Satellite Center and began using In Vitro Fertilization as a tool for growing production from proven donors

2011 PVF hosts its first annual Spring Production Sale focusing on fall born heifer calves, pairs, and herd sires.

2001

Hosted the National Angus Tour at Prairie View Farms. 130 cows at the farm. Payday is sold to TC Ranch and Genex as the first PVF sire to a major AI Stud.

2010

2009 The first PVF Pen of Bulls is featured in Denver, marketing bulls to cattlemen at this historic event. PVF Windfall SCC 9005 is featured in this pen.

PVF Missie 0084 is born, beginning a new era of the Missie cow family. PVF Insight 0129 is born, sold to Express Ranch from our NWSS Pen. Hosted our first Online Sale November 30th on cwcattlesales.com – one of the first online sales in the country for breeding stock.

2015

2013-2014

PVF Missie 4149 wins the National Junior Angus Show Grand Champion Owned Heifer for Esther McCabe.

Twenty-three heifers shown at the NJAS with a PVF prefix finished 1, 2, or 3 in their class.

Back-to-back Denver Reserve Grand Champions for the Ward Family.

WB PVF Lucy 1052 and PVF Missie 2018.

PVF Surveillance 4129 is born.

PVF Missie 5216 wins Reserve Grand Champion Owned Heifer at the National Junior Angus Show for Cheyenne Jones.

PVF is selected as the Premier Breeder at the National Junior Angus Show,

PVF Opens an online store allowing for online purchases of semen, AI certificates and embryos.

PVF Blackcap 6313 was selected Fourth Overall Grand Champion Owned Heifer at the National Junior Angus Show for Brynn Bullerman.

2007

PVF New Horizon 001 is born and is the first PVF sire to see widespread AI use.

2018

Davis Proven Queen 3026 is purchased from the Davis on the Highlands herd and begins the Proven Queen Family. During the same time, Orlan Miller (Alan’s dad) starts using the name Prairie View Farms (PVF).

2019

PVF Marvel 9185 and PVF Reddington 9186 are born and leased to Select Sires and ABS.

PVF TCF Frozen wins Grand Champion Bred and Owned Bull at the National Junior Angus Show for Amelia.

Grand Champion Owned Female at the National Junior Angus Show was sold as an embryo from PVF. PVF Blacklist 7077 and PVF The Natural 7042 are born and leased to Sexing Technologies and Griswold.

2020

PVF Hosts its first ever Fall Production Sale October 2, 2020.

PVF is named Premier Breeder at the National Junior Angus Show for the third time in five years.
