80 HEREFORD BULLS AND 28 ANGUS BULLS SELL

60 Angus two year olds with AI BWF calves - 120 BWF Replacement heifers and 7 RWF Replacement heifers

MARCH 5, 2026

THURSDAY - 1:00 PM CST - AT THE RANCH - COURTLAND, KANSAS

WELCOME TO JENSEN RANCH

Formally Jensen Bros.Herefords

This year marks a milestone for our family as we celebrate 50 years in the purebred cattle business. We sold our first bull in the spring of 1976, and everything that has followed has been made possible by loyal customers, trusted neighbors, and lifelong cattle friends. To all of you—thank you for your continued interest and confidence in our program.

The cattle business is strong, and we’re optimistic about the years ahead. As herds rebuild and expand, productivity and efficiency will matter more than ever. That’s where we’ve kept our focus.

Our Hereford and Angus sire groups represent what we believe commercial cattlemen need today: practical performance, sound structure, and carcass merit—without sacrificing maternal strength or sensible mature size. Our cows are asked to work for a living, just like yours. They run on grass, corn stalks, and long-stem hay in the winter with protein supplementation, and they’re expected to milk, breed back, and raise calves with growth.

Once again, we’re pleased to offer females from past bull customers. This year’s offering includes open Black Baldy and Black yearling heifers, along with 60 two-year-old Angus females with Black Baldy calves at side—all sired by Jensen Ranch Hereford bulls.

We believe crossbreeding done right adds pounds at weaning, improves female productivity, and builds longevity into a herd. Our goal is to help you reduce replacement costs, keep cows in production longer, and ultimately add more to your bottom line.

Whether you’re searching for your next purebred herd sire or a set of commercial bulls that will go to work immediately, we’ve prioritized the traits and genetics that matter most to our customers.

Life on our end hasn’t slowed down much—grandkids have a way of keeping things lively, and Sheila and I are enjoying every minute of watching our family grow. We were also blessed to celebrate our youngest son, Ben, marrying Michelle this past December. It was a special day, and we’re excited for them as they begin this next chapter.

We hope you’ll join us on sale day, either in person or online. The sale-day meal is always a favorite, and we’d love to visit with you. If you want to talk bulls or need help bidding live, don’t hesitate to call—we’re glad to help.

Here’s to 2026, to healthy families, and to growing, productive cow herds.

Sincerely,The Jensen Family

CELEBRATING 50 YEARS IN HEREFORDS

More than 700 Hereford breeders from 20 countries, including the United States, gather in Kansas City, Mo., Oct. 22-26, 2025, for the World Hereford Conference. Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe has proclaimed it Hereford Week.

The AHA Educational Forum was held in conjunction with the 19th World Hereford Conference (WHC) Six hundred WHC participants celebrated the breed and the conference during the Global Celebratory Gala at Arrowhead Stadium on Friday evening Oct 24th with dinner and fellowship.

“The World Hereford Conference, which occurred in conjunction with the annual American Hereford Association (AHA) Annual Meeting and Educational Symposium comes at a time of increasing demand for Hereford genetics,” says Jack Ward, AHA executive vice president. “Especially here in the United States, more commercial cow-calf producers are incorporating Hereford genetics into their herds for the breed’s proven inherent genetic advantages, which include fertility, docility, longevity and feed efficiency.”

The World Hereford Conference takes place every four years when delegates of the World Hereford Council meet to conduct official business aimed at breed improvement and opportunity development. It is a time for Hereford breeders from around the world to network and learn from one another. The Jensen hosted a WHC tour stop in 1996 while the attendees were traveling to Fort Collins for the Conference. Kevin, Sheila and their family also traveled to Calgary, Alberta in 2011 to attend the World Conference. Sheila and her family ranch in Canada showed cattle at the WHC in 1976 at the Show in Calgary.

The ranch is just 5 miles from where Kevin’s Norwegian immigrants great Grandmother and Father homesteaded. Kevin sold our first Polled Hereford Bull in 1976 with bull from a bred heifer we purchased from Watson Walking W Ranch of Barnard, Kansas

In the mid 70’s Kevin’s family bought many females from Jim and Sue Rowland, G&R Polled Herefords, Marysville, Kansas. Jim and Sue were very instrumental in developing many young people. Sue is still very active in the junior program while we raised our children and soon grandchildren in the Hereford breed. Kevin and Sheila’s children all have been active in the Hereford Junior program and have help many national offices with Brady being Chairman of the Junior Hereford board and Brooke was National Hereford Queen in 2014 while also being on the National board. Ben, Brooke and Brady attended Pike Valley High School and where very active in 4-H, FFA and sports while they remained busy with the ranch and showing Hereford cattle.

Sites for the World Hereford Conference revolve among World Hereford Council member countries. The first conference was held in 1951 at Herefordshire, England. The United States hosted the World Hereford Conference for the first time in 1960, in Kansas City, Mo. The U.S. also hosted the 12th annual conference in Fort Collins, Colo., in 1996.

Events also include the recognition of many American Hereford producers, young leaders and industry stakeholders, including the Hereford Hall of Fame and Hall of Merit indictees, Golden and Centennial Hereford Breeders, Certified Hereford Beef® award winners, the Hereford Commercial Producer of the Year; Hereford Youth Foundation of America scholarship recipients and winners in the National Junior Hereford Association Fed Steer Shootout.

Kevin Jensen and family were recognized on the stage during the American Hereford Association annual meeting for registering Hereford Cattle for 50 years and awarded the Century Breeder award. In 1972, Kevin purchased his first Hereford heifer and it’s been the beginning of a lifetime of raising good Hereford cattle and living his dream. Kevin has had unwavering confidence in Hereford cattle that has supported the first generation of Jensen ranch and now the next as well. Kevin Jensen started with purchased of one Polled Hereford heifer purchased from RC Polled Herefords of Chester, Nebraska in the fall of 1972. Kevin was raised and still resides in Republic County, Kansas.

In the early 80” s Kevin had a vision and opportunity to purchase land to expand his Hereford Fitting business and cowherd. Kevin and Sheila traveled the US extensively showing Hereford cattle which lead them to meet countless Hereford breeders and make lifelong friends. Jensen’s operation today consists of 300 -350 head Hereford cows with an extensive ET program. Jensen’s have been fortunate to have shown and raised many Champions and have bred and raised numbers Denver Hereford Pen Champions and carloads. Jensen’s have sold Hereford bulls many years private treaty and now host an annual bull sale in March. Jensen also participate in the National Reference Sire program and Total Herd Reporting with the AHA.

In fact, the first National Hereford Show in 1899 was the foundation of what later became the iconic American Royal. Kevin Jensen. Courtland is honored to be the judge for the National Hereford Show during the American Royal, Kansas City, MO during this year’s World Hereford Conference. Kevin is nationally and internationally knowing livestock judge. Judged in Canada, Argentina, Australia, and USA

Kevin has judged numerous National, State and County Fairs as well as Junior Nationals including two Hereford Junior Nationals

• Key member of the National Champion Pen of 3 bulls at the National Western

• Tahoe 865N has been a favorite ranch calf since his birth. Many visitors this summer left the ranch saying they didn’t know which Tomahawk son fit their program the best. He was approximately 50 days younger than the other bulls in the group in Denver, so it speaks to his MASCULINITY and POWER that he was able to fit with them size wise. His overwhelming QUALITY was heralded by the evaluators and spectators in the yards in Denver.

• Homozygous polled, full pigmentation, and equipped with a huge barrel rib shape with extra top dimension and width of base. Uniquely, he keeps CE and BW in check with breed leading growth and carcass EPD’s.

• Tahoe is the naturally raised calf by Gemstone, who has blasted to the top of our donor cow line-up. She has proven, yet again, that she can raise them by her side and through ET work.

Spring 2026 Platinum TPR Breeders

Thirty-one Hereford breeders achieved Platinum Total Performance Records (TPR™) Breeder status for spring 2026. The Platinum TPR program was established in 2018 to recognize breeders who participate in the Association’s Whole Herd Total Performance Records (TPR™) program that was implemented in 2001 to create a more accurate database and increase the value of Hereford genetics. The Platinum TPR Breeder is the highest level of achievement when it comes to complete calf crop reporting. Breeders must meet all of the

requirements of Gold TPR Breeder status plus genotype 85% of their calves with a weaning weight submitted. The Platinum TPR Breeder awards are designated two times a year and are awarded each calving season. The selection of Platinum TPR breeders takes place during the process of loading each new run of expected progeny differences (EPDs) in January (spring) and July (fall). The criteria for Platinum TPR breeders will be evaluated two years prior to the award year. The following fall spring 2026 TPR awards reflect the spring 2024 calf crop.

The following Hereford breeders earned Platinum TPR status this spring:

OUR APPROACH

Triple S Ranch, Grannis

California

At Jensen Ranch, we are constantly striving to raise the best Hereford Seedstock we can. Living through the many fads in the beef industry we have continued to reinforce our selection criteria at its roots and work diligently to weigh, measure, and score many traits relevant to our customer’s success in their cattle operations. Day in and day out we take the simple approach that the cattle must work for us, or they will be culled.

OUR COWHERD

Kansas

We demand our cows have superior longevity, raise big healthy calves, and breed back in a timely fashion with limited inputs available to them. The base of our cowherd traces back to a hand full of cows that raised calves late into their teen years and have become prominent cow families in our herd. Through embryo transfer, we have targeted superior females from those cow families to propagate genetics to insure we improve our herd and yours with the best Hereford seedstock possible.

Year-round we are focused on how to make our bull offering the best for our customers. Whether we are collecting ultrasound or genomic data or developing the bulls we are constantly striving to help you identify your next herd sire. At the end of the day, we only market herd bulls that we would use in our own herd and look forward to them going to work for you.

Virginia

Buford Ranches, Cleveland

Just like you, we take sire selection as one of the most important decisions we have as cattle breeders. For starters, we seek out herd bulls from cow families that have proven their worth and can advance traits of emphasis in our herd. We demand the bulls have incredible feet, big testicles, and a sound structure, but we also require the bulls improve our cow base in economically relevant traits for growth, maternal, and carcass, which must be reinforced with genomic and actual information to insure we are improving our herd and yours.

HORNED

Benton and Coco Crème.

Our fall bulls are NOT pampered. They are raised by their momma on fall pastures till they go to stalks for the winter. Once they are weaned in April, the bulls are on feed til summer where they run on grass in big lots for exercise and development. In the fall as yearlings, they stay in the large lot and are then offered a grain ration along with free choice oat or prairie hay. We believe this makes the bulls last longer when turned out.

ANGUS PROGRAM Jensen Ranch

We believe the Baldy calf and cow are the heartbeat of the commercial cow calf industry. To put money where our mouth is, we dove into the Angus breed to work to provide seedstock to our customers that will excel in the commercial indus\try, particularly the Angus x Hereford cross. Brady spent a few years before returning to the ranch, traveling the country studying and viewing Angus cattle from all over the country. The cattle we selected to begin our program have great feet, tremendous udder quality, and REAL-WORLD fleshing ability and performance. As we work to grow this part of our program, please trust we will work tirelessly to offer bulls will real world performance, mothers that work in an environment with limited resources and strict culling practices. With much anticipation we are excited to offer our first group of Angus bulls to our customer base. You will find calving ease bulls, powerful cow type bulls, and maternally driven phenotype standouts in this years set.

The Mayes Family from Crossville, TN is a mainstay Angus program that has acquired and raised some of the most prominent Angus females in the business. When touring their operation, you’ll find some of the most powerful and maternal Angus cows you can find anywhere. We are blessed to work with such 1st class people and are excited to offer a hand selected group of their Angus bulls again this year. We were fortune to market what they consider to be some of their top heifer bulls, in addition to a few of the real power bulls that they raised this year. After they weaned these bulls in Tennessee, we brought them to Courtland for development in November. The bulls have not looked back, and this group is deep, thicker, and even more impressive than last year’s inaugural set of Angus bulls. We would only bring in and stand behind bulls that we believe in. Please come take a look at them and see why we have brought this tremendous set of bulls here for your viewing.

HETEROSIS PAYS

MATERNAL HETEROSIS

Economic and production benefits associated with heterosis are documented by decades of industrywide research in commercial crossbreeding systems.

DIRECT HETEROSIS

Increased performance of the crossbred calf relative to the average of the straightbred parental breeds.

+ 1.9% Survival to weaning

+ 3.9% Weaning weight

+ 2.6% Post weaning gain

+ 3.8% Yearling weight

+ 2.2% Feed conversion

Increased performance of the crossbred cow relative to the average of straightbred females of the parental breeds.

+ 3.7% Calving rate

+ 3.8% Weaning weight

+ 38.0% Longevity

+ 17.0% Number of calves

+ 25.3% Cumulative weaning weight

Primary crossbreeding advantages are improvement of lowly heritable traits, such as those associated with reproduction, which are difficult to impact through direct selection pressure. Small, net-positive effects in multiple traits affecting commercial cow-calf profitability — pregnancy rate, calf livability, calf health, etc. — yield significant returns that are difficult to measure. Crossbreeding value is most visible in the increased number of calves (lifetime), cow longevity and cumulative weaning weight (lifetime).

Hereford Heterosis Pays More

Hereford genetics offer more crossbreeding power because they are the least related to other Bos Taurus breeds, as documented by the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) 2000 Bull Project. Plus, Hereford’s unique, inherent genetic advantages compared to other breeds offer added breed complementarity, especially when crossed with Angus. Hereford advantages include: docility, fertility, feed efficiency in the pasture and feedlot, longevity, and production efficiency.

Hereford-sired black baldy female advantages:

• 7% higher pregnancy rate

• More calves weaned per cow exposed

• $51 more per cow per year in net present value (2009 calculation)

• 3.5% more average rate of return on assets

• 2 pounds less pasture forage per day while maintaining more body condition1

Black baldy cows require 1 acre less of moderate-quality forage per year compared to straightbred black Angus peers, according to Oklahoma State University research.1

Hereford-sired black baldy steer advantages:

• Heavier weaning weights

• Increased feed efficiency

• Lower cost of gain

• Lower feedlot breakeven

• $28 per head less feed cost across finishing period

Based on feed efficiency alone — breed differences documented by the USMARC — Hereford has a $51 per head advantage over the finishing period, when compared to Angus.2 Hereford’s economic advantage increases as feed costs rise.

1On average, Oklahoma State University researchers measured about 2 pounds per day less moderate-quality forage (Oklahoma pasture) intake in the black baldy cows. On an annual basis the black baldy cows would be expected to consume about 725 pounds less forage.

2Calculation based on breed differences for feed efficiency documented by the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center, using current feed costs (Oct. 2022).
