Dear Shorthorn Friends;

We would like to invite you to the 2014 ‘Fall Harvest’ Shorthorn Production Sale. There will be many top quality cattle available at this exciting event.

Here at Warner Ranch Shorthorns, our cows are managed like commercial cattle. They have been selected, and culled, on structural correctness, fertility, disposition and udder and feet quality. Wyoming is a tough environment which has done a lot of the culling for us. We expect a cow to raise a calf every year and keep her own body condition in an efficient manner.

If you are looking for a solution to lower birth weights and moderate frame size, we invite you to consider these females. They are likely to be real out-cross genetics to many of the popular bloodlines. Most of our current herd sires are purebred Canadian Shorthorns. We found sound, productive beef cattle there that are functional and possess lots of natural muscle and are structurally correct. We feel they have been a great asset to our own herd.

In our program we feel that a great bull is the best investment we can make for the future of our herd. There have been some outstanding herd bulls walking the pastures here.

This year you will see consignments from some of our friends who are offering their best to this sale. You will also find some exciting Shorthorn Plus females in this offering. Please look them over carefully.

Steve’s footnote when she sold in the Revival stated she could get fat on nothing but cornstalks and snowballs and he wasn’t far off. One of the easiest keeping cows I have ever seen while still maintaining the femininity to produce great show heifers.

Terms: Terms of the sale are cash or check (with proper I.D. i.e. valid driver’s license) payable to the Sale Clerk. Cattle will not be released from the Nebraska State Fair Sale Facility until payment or satisfactory arrangements for payment has been made and approved by the Sale Manager. The Sale Manager reserves the right to require a certified check as settlement before releasing any cattle. All lots offered sell under the standard terms and conditions endorsed by the American Shorthorn Association.

Purchases and Risk: All animals are at owners risk prior to sale and become property of the buyer as soon as declared sold by the auctioneer.

Insurance: representatives of Great American Insurance Group will be available sale day to assist you with any livestock insurance needs for your purchases.

Bidding: All lots sell to the highest bidder. Any disputes or challenges regarding bids will be settled by the auctioneer. His decision will be final.

Absentee Bidding: If you will not be able to attend the sale, please contact the Sale Manager, Auctioneer or Sale Staff a day in advance in order to secure your bidder number and place your orders.

Health: All animals will be accompanied by proper health certificates making them eligible for interstate shipment. Prospective buyers should make themselves aware of health requirements for their respective states.

Breeding: Bred females have been pregnancy examined safe in calf by a licensed veterinarian. Any updated breeding information will be made available on sale day.

Announcements: Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed material in this catalog and other announcements.

Liabilities: All persons who attend this sale do so at their own risk. The Sale Contributors, Sale Manager or Nebraska State Fair assumes no liabilities for any accidents that may occur. The auctioneer or Sale Manager assumes no liability for loss or injury to the livestock due to theft, mysterious disappearance, sickness, improper handling or an act of God. B. GCT (Genetic Condition Tested) – A sale offering or individual lot that has tested all animals that may be potential Genetic Condition carriers and the results of those tests are displayed in the appropriate manner for all animals that may be at risk as a Genetic Condition carrier. This means that all possible Genetic Condition Carriers are identified according to the descriptions in paragraph 1 under Disclosure of Genetic Conditions and Performance Data.

There may be carrier animals or genetic material selling but they have been tested and are disclosed and all potential animals and/or genetic material at risk to be a carrier have been tested and the results disclosed.

C.
