It is always a pleasure to welcome you to our annual production sale. We feel honored to have you review the offering and are willing to answer any questions you may have about the cattle offered or our program and we would gladly help with your selections in any way.

The cattle in this year’s offering are certainly the deepest set of bulls and females we have ever offered. The bulls and females throughout the entire offering consist of pedigrees stacked for generations with the most prominent AI sires that the Angus breed has to offer. In addition, all bulls and females selling are tested PI BVD negative and a comprehensive herd health program is in place. We want our customers to buy with confidence.

The bull offering will impress the most discriminating buyer. They are sired by some of the most popular, breed leading performance sires. Several new sire groups will be represented for the first time at April Valley. These include sons and daughters of SAV Priority 7283, AAR Ten X 7008 S A, TC Aberdeen 759, VDAR Really Windy 4097, Apex Windy 078, Connealy Final Product, and Kesslers Frontman R001.

The yearling bulls are a phenomenal set. It has been a real challenge to find a favorite to say the least. Some of the highlights include four flush mates selling as lots 1 through 4. These could represent the best embryo flush ever produced at April Valley. They are sired by SAV Bismarck 5682 and from the past Eastern Regional Grand Champion Female, AVF Sara 4719. Their maternal sister, AVF Sara 3773 was recently crowned Supreme Champion at the 2014 Kansas Angus Futurity. The other Bismarck sons selling are all products of the ET program and represent the strongest cow families at April Valley. AVF Aberdeen 1163, selling as Lot 18, is an outstanding calving ease prospect with phenotype to burn. Many SAV Priority 7283 sons will demand your attention. AVF Priority 0413 sells as Lot 9, AVF Priority 8893 sells as Lot 13, and AVF Priority 5203 sells as Lot 16. These three and all of their paternal brothers will be sale day favorites. AAR Ten X 7008 S A may be the most popular bull in the Angus breed. He has and EPD profile that is unmatched and his progeny have been sale toppers. He is well represented as well. AVF Ten X 9173 selling as Lot 26 is a maternal brother to AVF Blackcap 9172 who reigned as Grand Champion Owned Female at the 2013 Kansas Angus Futurity.

AVF Ten X 1103—Lot 24, and AVF Ten X 0583—Lot 32, have been early favorites by those who have seen them. SAV Elba 4436 is represented by Lots 43 through 46, and four Apex Windy 078 sons selling as Lots 52 through 55. The fall bulls represent some of the freshest genetics at April Valley. They are deep and stout and ready to go to work. There are several calving ease bulls as well as several true power bulls. Be sure to check them all out sale day.

The female offering is stronger than ever. It represents our top cow families—the Sara, Blackcap, Erica and Blacklass families are all included. AVF Sara 0082, one of our most powerful donors is well represented throughout the offering. Two daughters will highlight the female offering selling as Lots 81 and 82. Be sure to check out the “0082” sons selling as Lots 6, 7, 8 and 47. They will offer a glimpse of what these females are capable of doing for you. The yearling heifers are the “keeping kind” that will make outstanding herd additions. The cows are young and productive, and most will have AI sired calves by side sale day. They are the kind that are really hard to part with and will make great additions to any herd. AVF Erica 5201 offered as Lot 103 is a great young cow from the heart of the herd. Make note that her dam is a pathfinder and her maternal brother AVF Priority 5203 is a true herd sire candidate selling as Lot 16. In addition her calf by Buford AVF All Purpose 4700 will be the first All Purpose offspring to sell at public auction.
