1. Type Specimen Collection Programs Used: Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Skills: Layout Design Typography

The objective of this assignment was to create 2 font posters showcasing the anatomy and hierarchy of each font chosen. The fonts chosen were; Serif font, Bodoni, and Sans Serif font, Kabel.

Design Solution: The goal I achieved after completeing this project was expanding my knowledge about type heirarchy and learning not only the anatomy of common serif/san serif fonts, but learning the specific anatomy of Kabel and Bodoni typefaces.

2. Natural Glow Cosmetics Programs Used: Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Skills: Packing Design Vector Design Branding

For this project, I was tasked with branding a product of my choice and creating packaging for a box, bag, and serum. My product of choice was a Facial Cleanser brand.

Design Solution: I am overly satisfied with how the Natural Glow Branding and packaging came out. The goal I acheived while designing this packaging design set was properly deminstrating skills in branding that I plan to utalize in the future.

3. Better World Design Programs Used: Adobe Photoshop Adobe InDesign Skills: Editorial Design Layout Design Typography Photography

In the Fall of 2021, I was challenged to create an event planner for a fictional conference. The main objective was to strategically arrange content on the front and back of an 8.5x 5.5 page.

Design Solution: I am overly satisfied with how this event planner came out. The goal I achieved after completing this planner was successfully orgazining a lot of information into a small area in a strategic and legable way. I gained so much knowledge of the Adobe Indesign software which will help me in future projects. Lastly this project helped me learn how to incorporate photos into a design.

4. Eating Disorder Awareness Programs Used: Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Skills: Vector-Based Design Hand Lettering Illustration

The objective of this assignment was to create a poster to spread awareness about a topic we are passionate about.

Design Solution: The goal I achieved after completeing this project was passing on an impactful message about eating disorders to anyone who views this poster. I achieved this goal by using my skills as a designer to creatively portray the battle individuals with eating disorders go through constantly. I did this by illustrating a silhouette and showing how much numbers can control an individual mind.

5. EWG Softball Programs Used: Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator Skills: Logo Design Vector Design Typography

In the Spring of 2022, I was coaching the Exeter West Greenwich Girls High School softball team and was asked to create a logo to put on sweatshirts and merchandise for their softball season.

Design Solution: The goal I achieved after completing this project was successfully creating a logo for the EWG girl’s softball team. This logo showcases the colors of EWG; red and black, very well while also incorporating the 3 main softball colors; yellow, red, and brown in my design. This logo is also versatile, as different words can be written under the bats such as, “softball mom,” “softball dad,” “EWG,” “ or even “seniors.”

A-Z Cards Programs Used: Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator Skills: Layout Design Typography

In the Spring of 2022, I was tasked with creating a “deck of cards” of typefaces. The assignment was to showcase a new font for each letter of the alphabet on separate 3 x 4.5-inch cards.

Design Solution: The goal I achieved after completing this assignment was successfully showcasing the differences between 24 fonts. Each serif and san serif font chosen to be on each card was shown in all weights, and showcased the upper and lowercase version of a letter of the alphabet depending on the font name.

7. Love & Bravery Quote Programs Used: Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator Skills: Editorial Design Layout Design Typography

In the Winter of 2022, I was tasked with creating a quote poster in my Typography class. The main objective was to create a poster by taking a quote and using typographic elements such as fonts and text lockups to showcase the quote in a creative way.

Design Solution: The goal I achieved after completeing this project was sucessfully locking up a quote and displaying it in a creative way. This project explanded my knowledge on type lockups and font pairings and made me very pleased with everything I learned and created.

8. Bloom Mini-Zine Programs Used: Adobe Indesign Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator Skills: Editorial Design Layout Design Typography

The objective of this assignment was to create the design, and content of a mini-magazine dedicated to a topic of our interest. I decided to dedicate my minizine to flowers and natural life.

Design Solution: The goal I achieved at the end of this project was advancing my knowledge and skills in editorial design. I learned a lot about how to strongly and properly work with a large amount of content. Lastly, I achieved the simple and minimal look I was going for and kept each page cohesive with the next.
