This means they do not have bones. Can you think of any other animals that do not have bones? 2

Jellyfish have been around since before the dinosaurs!

They live in oceans all over the world.

Jellyfish have long tentacles that can sting their food before they eat it. They can sting people too. Watch out!

If you see a gooey blob on the beach it might just be a jellyfish.
Have fun looking at it, but don’t touch it!

Jellyfish come in lots of colors. They are translucent which means you can see through them.

Large groups of jellyfish are called a bloom.

Jellyfish come in all different sizes.

Some are as small as a Cheerio! Others are as big as a basketball. Some are even bigger!

Jellyfish move by sqirting water out of their body.

This pushes them forward.

Jellyfish are made up of mostly water. Just over half of our bodies are made of water too.
