Dolphins are super smart. They have bigger brains than humans!

They are fast learners and teach each other. They’ve been known to help other animals. They even scare off sharks to protect humans swimming in the ocean!

Dolphins are mammals

This means their babies are born live.

Some dolphins like to ride waves with surfers! Other dolphins like to play with shells or plants.

Dolphins have to breathe air like us!

They come to the surface and breathe through a hole on top of their head.

When they play they can jump 20 feet into the air! They also do back flips and spin.
Dolphins are very social. They talk and listen to the echoes to help them stay together!

Dolphins work together and swim low to trap fish, squid, and shrimp.

Some of the dolphins will wait outside the circle to catch fish that try to escape.

Dolphins are truly amazing! Don’t you agree?
