Hello! We are spiderlings. We just hatched. Can you see us?
Can you count how many spiderlings are in the green circle?
Our mother made a big egg sac out of silk and carried us around.
Can you count the Mama Spider’s legs?
Then, she plopped us in a web close to some leaves and waited for us to hatch.
Talk about the egg sac. What does it look like?
We hatched all at once because there is safety in numbers and started scuttling around. Whee!
We already know how to spin a web.
Now we ’ re growing stronger each day and learning to explore!
Can you count how many spiderlings are in the green circle?
When we ' re ready to explore the world, we’ll climb to a high spot, let out our silky threads, catch the wind, and float away to travel and live by ourselves—bye-bye!
Can you count us as we go?
