STEINERT’s overhead suspension magnets are used to protect your machinery, such as crushers, mills and other mining processing equipment, against wear and destruction. They protect equipment and decontaminate product by extracting tramp iron parts and the extraction of ferrous material eg. bolts, rods and plates.

Electromagnets from STEINERT are characterised by their extremely strong and deep reaching magnetic fields, allowing for efficient extraction of tramp metal from fast moving, fully loaded conveyor belts. These magnets have proven themselves for years even at high belt speeds and large belt widths.

STEINERT overhead suspension magnets (OHSM) consist of coils made of anodised aluminium strip (ANOFOL®) and complimented by a forced oil-cooled system for optimal performance.

Stationary and Self-cleaning magnets are manufactured and supplied as a package, and come complete with suspension structure, control cabinets, and catenary systems as they are required.
