FROM ONE SOURCE

Get the right technologies for your application From traditional and trusted magnetic separation equipment, right through to innovative sensor sorting technologies, we help our customers achieve their goals with sustainable solutions.

This enables STEINERT to ‘value-add’ our solutions throughout the entire process, from design and consultation through to manufacturing, installation and commissioning services.

Whether that is to improve profitability by raising yield, to reduce operating costs, or to improve product purity and even limit environmental impact from their operations, we understand the diverse needs and unique regional necessities which our customers have to deal with.

STEINERT Australia’s HQ is based in Melbourne and features the manufacturing facility for all of the magnetic separation processing technologies it is known for, as well as supplying the latest in sensor-based sorting systems from Germany.

DRY MAGNETIC BENEFICIATION STEINERT Australia can custom design and build Magnetic Dry Drum Separators to suit various Mining industry applications and processing requirements. Developed with either our High Strength Rare Earth Magnetic element (MIMS) or Low Intensity Magnetic element (LIMS), STEINERT’s Dry Drum separators can be used to process minerals at up to 100% higher capacity than conventional dry drum separators, due to our unique drum construction and feeding arrangements.

STAU_MINING COLLECTION 23 .indd 4

Dry Drum Separators are used to:

+ Eliminate ferromagnetic particles before high-intensity magnetic separation

+ Control iron contamination in glass sand production

+ Produce magnetic concentrates

WET MAGNETIC BENEFICIATION STEINERT’s Wet Drum Separators (WDS) are used to process magnetic slurries with solids particles in the typical size range from 38μ - 6mm, especially in the recovery of dense media or concentration of magnetite iron ore. We offer magnetic drum separators with different magnetic field strengths, such as the MIMS (medium intensity magnetic separator) and LIMS (low intensity magnetic separator).

Optimisation is achieved by different operating modes depending on the proportion of magnetic particles, target grain size and desired throughput. Diameters up to 1.2m and working widths up to 3.6m are available for increased throughput. Cascading, Multi-stage or Parallel (Back-toBack arrangements) can be supplied to cater for process flow or plant layout requirements.

In addition, the specially constructed magnetic elements can achieve higher field strengths over the full operating area.

DEWATERING SOLUTIONS FOR MAGNETITE STEINERT Australia can custom design and build these unique magnetic drum solutions for Magnetite dewatering plants. They can also be used in parallel with existing dewatering equipment.

The benefits are:

+ Reasonable lead time to manufacture, can be progressive simple commissioning

+ Minimal spares inventory - interchange with MagSeps

Our patented Magnetic Dewatering Drums are perfect for the following applications:

+ Dewater after repulping in order to transport via pipeline

+ Replace conventional thickeners + Pre-condition to pelletising

RELIABLE + EFFICIENT TRAMP REMOVAL STEINERT’s overhead suspension magnets are used to protect your machinery, such as crushers, mills and other mining processing equipment, against wear and destruction. They protect equipment and decontaminate product by extracting tramp iron parts and the extraction of ferrous material eg. bolts, rods and plates. Electromagnets from STEINERT are characterised by their extremely strong and deep reaching magnetic fields, allowing for efficient extraction of tramp metal from fast moving, fully loaded conveyor belts. These magnets have proven themselves for years even at high belt speeds and large belt widths.

STAU_MINING COLLECTION 23 .indd 10

STEINERT overhead suspension magnets (OHSM) consist of coils made of anodised aluminium strip (ANOFOL®) and complimented by a forced oil-cooled system for optimal performance. Stationary and Self-cleaning magnets are manufactured and supplied as a package, and come complete with suspension structure, control cabinets, and catenary systems as they are required. Ask our team for more information on the STEINERT magnetic separation packages.

SENSOR-BASED SORTING SOLUTIONS STEINERT’s sensor-based technologies offer a powerful approach for pre-concentration or the elimination of unwanted materials at the early stage of comminution. SBS technologies can also increase the efficiency of a mining operation and align with ESG principles - thereby adding value to the life of the mining operation.

+ Selective high grading of existing waste dumps.

+ Reduction of environmental risks and costs. + Send appropriate ore to the mill and leach heaps.

+ Pre-concentration of ore underground or at Reduce CAPEX and OPEX with ore sorting benefits such as:

remote satellite sites in order to reduce transportation costs.

+ Pre-concentration

of mill feed by separating it into high-grade, low-grade fractions and waste fractions.
