Steel & Tube’s in-house Rigging Services can make up chain slings or wire rope sets to your specifications. Sewing Room Services We’ll custom make products to your design and requirements. In addition to our extensive range of chain, rigging and lifting products, Steel & Tube offers an in-house Sewing Room to provide customised products made to your specifications. Our customised service and equipment includes (but is not limited to): • Manufacture of polyester round slings for lifting purposes • Round slings from: 1 tonne x 2 metre up to 10 tonne x 9.5 metre • Polyester web slings for lifting purposes • Web slings from 0.5 tonne x 0.5 metre to 12 tonne x 40 metre
• Rated canvas bags to lift tools etc (commonly used on wind farm towers) • Replacement bags for electric chain hoists • Webbing type tie-downs made to measure, size and length with your choice of end fittings • Polyester towing straps up to 84 tonne breaking strain

Mobile Lifting Equipment Testing Service Our on-site testing lightens the load of compliance and gives you peace of mind. Steel & Tube’s on-site testing service for up to 30 tonne proof load, is efficient and convenient and reduces downtime. Wherever your equipment is we will come to you, just about anywhere in New Zealand. Our fully equipped vehicles have experienced, specialist technicians that understand your requirements and aim to give you personalised service, tailored to suit your needs. Test certificates are issued and a register of all lifting equipment is updated on the same day as testing. This information can be easily accessed and our reminder service means nothing gets missed. As a supplier of reputable brands with a national support base, we can provide solutions you can trust. We can also organise repairs and custommake equipment for you if required. You can plan ahead, track your equipment and budget for your annual compliance costs.
