Tuesday 23 June - Thursday 3 July 2026

Another year has flown by, and I am proud to welcome you to the St Dunstan’s Education Group Festival, which now fully engages our whole community across all schools within the group. Each year we reflect on the success of the festival and how we can improve the experience for all involved, and this year, we have crystalised the vision more clearly:
An annual group-wide celebration of our education, community and ethos, investing in a programme of activities that creates opportunity for us to:
Elevate the experience of all the young people who study at SDEG schools; exposing them to knowledge, skills and experiences that are beyond the normal curriculum, lighting fires of curiosity and building interests and pursuits that might not otherwise have been encountered.
Collaborate with people from different walks of life, children of different age groups, with different staff, subject specialists and professional experts, learning, developing and enriching each other’s lives with skills, talents and shared experiences.
Celebrate all we are as a group, building our sense of community and identity, across the group and beyond, by ensuring inter-school collaboration and collective educational endeavour.
Donate time, resources and energy via the active facilitation of volunteering, community work and giving back to society; creating opportunities for students and staff to live the social, charitable and moral values that we believe distinguish us.
This year the festival spans 10 days, opening and closing with group-wide performances celebrating ‘Excellence. Differently’ and between which are a wide range of workshops, trips, exhibitions, concerts, plays, sports and celebrations. Across the central weekend we are proud to host The Catford Weekender, our annual community festival, a real chance for us to donate to our local community, opening the festival grounds for live music, workshops, sport, fun family activities and so much more.
We are entirely grateful for the support of Judge & Priestley, who are the headline sponsors of the SDEG Festival 2026.
We hope you enjoy the festival and make the most of all the wonderful opportunities that are available to both parents and students, finishing the school year with a real sense of pride and achievement. I look forward to seeing you at one of the events.
Mr Richard Gregg Director of SDEG Festival

In 2023, St Dunstan’s College held its first Telethon, raising £100,000 over a two-week period. This year, we aim to double that total in order to provide significantly more bursary places for deserving pupils from Lewisham.
If every St Dunstan’s family contributed £25 per month, inclusive of Gift Aid, we could fund an additional 10 full bursary places.
During the August Telethon, you may receive a call from a recent Year 13 leaver or a current Dunstonian studying at university. They will take the opportunity to speak with you about your family’s experience at the College, share their own journey since leaving, and discuss their future aspirations. You may also be able to offer guidance on university choices or career pathways.
They will outline the impact of the Bursary Fund and invite you to consider making a modest monthly contribution via Direct Debit. There is, of course, no obligation to give. The Telethon itself is an invaluable experience for the students involved, who are fully trained and remunerated for their work.
Thank you in advance for your support.
We currently support 78 Senior School students through bursary provisions, ranging from 50% fee remission to full and enhanced awards of up to 110%, which we describe as transformational bursaries.
Many of these students would not otherwise have had the opportunity to attend an independent school. They play a vital role within our community and exemplify our ethos, ensuring that we remain a grounded and inclusive school at the heart of Lewisham.
Natasha joined us in the Sixth Form a few years ago on a full bursary and her story is remarkable. She is currently in her second year at Oxford University studying PPE.
